    These videos are still very useful. I come back to them when I’ve hit a wall in my brain on how to improve my pistol, and to refresh on all the options out there. It’s so easy to forget. Thank you once again for making this series available to us!

    I simplified my life decades ago. No more stake on front sights and no plastic. If it's not walnut and steel I'll pass.....thank you very much.

    Would be interesting to see how the front is staked on is thete heat involved to peen the stake or some weird/special punch

      Yes, I will post some video content, I have some somewhere, or I'll take more video when I get on the next stake-on project. Good question, thank you.

    Hey Bob, I hope everyone at Fusion is safe!! Great sight selection. Folks make it easy on yourself. Send your slide to Bob and let him cut Novak or whatever y'all come up with. Cutting the dovetail just makes life so much easier. Take care, Vern

      @@fusionfirearms Well Bob, y'all are good folks and this should have happened 15 or more years ago!! I know y'all have made my life so much easier. I have a slide now I wish I could send y'all. Dovetail is cut in the front but I need a Novak cut in the rear. Old Springer slide. My mill went down hard and at 69 years old it just ain't in the cards to fix it. Y'all be safe!!

    I have 2 Springfield Mil Specs and honestly I wish they didn't come with sights at all. Why? I have come to learn point shooting and I am on target faster without having to look for the front or rear sight. I'm not going to be shooting anything or anyone beyond 25 yards in a self defense situation. I also have 2 Seecamp .32acps that don't have sights. My shots still hit center mass at 20 yards. Maybe not for everyone but that works for me.

    Plastic does not belong on a 1911. Another excellent video!

    @Fusion Firearms
    Great content and just purchased my first Fusion replacement part and quite happy Mr Bob Serva.
    What would you recommend in a Trujicon Tridium (white outline) front site U notch rear for a Springfield Range Officer? It has the Springfield (Bomar adjustable) black serrated rear currently.

      @fusionfirearms  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you,
      If is has a bomar rear, you are limited. See website under sights. We do have white dot, fiber optic and tritium options for bomar cuts.

      @@fusionfirearms thanks that would be great. Your stake in front sight is nice. I had it installed and look great. I’m considering getting one of your rear mil spec sights.

    Are the rear sights metal softer so that it is more malleable than the slide itself enabling it to fit more easily into the dovetail? Or is this an assumption on my part?

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      All of the sights are from the basic same steel materials. it is more a fitting thing when it comes to sights. The only sights I really do not like are the plastic, they do not and will not hold up. Good question, thank you

    Would like it alot if someone made replacement sights for mii spec but maybe 30% larger. Same profile as mil spec but blown up a bit in size. Have shot a number of local club matches with a WWII Remington Rand slide with an opened up rear sight notch to get more light on either side of the front sight. Have done surprisingly well. A set of sights that still looked original (to the non-expert) but are bigger would be great. Thank you.

      Look at our screw down style white dot sight set or the tritium with white outline we offer. These are bigger than blade style.

    Do you make colt government style slides with stake on sights and high ejection ports? I am looking to build a retro 38 super but I have yet to find anyone who makes slides for them.

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry no, We do have GOV bald slides that you can do your own cuts and we do have standard GI slides, but we do a dovetail cut on the front sight. We have very little call for the old Stake on, too much work for most customers. The dovetail will give you much more versatility in your sight selection... I know, Not very retro, but we maybe get 1 out of a 1000 anymore that want stake on.

    What’s the difference in point of aim point of impact with your .165 and .185 front sight height on the 70 series.

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  หลายเดือนก่อน

      This will depend on loads and distance. obviously the higher sight will lower your POI.

    Hey Bob, can I have a larger black mil spec type blade on back with a Novak style green fiber optic up front on a RIA GI I have in 9mm

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Look at the website, For the GI/Mil spec you are limited or you can send the pistol in for milling. But look the mil spec sights over on the website first. Call in for help if you need it.
