What brought me to know who billy vera is was when "at this moment" became a hit in 1987 it was and still is a very powerful song one cannot listen without holding back their tears.
I am also I huge Billy Vera fan. I grew up watching and listening to him perform when he was young -- frequently backing up touring hit recording artists. He put everything into his performances. The man is a master at his craft.
Billy Vera was the very first celebrity I met in St. Mark's in Venice back in '92. He was incredibly kind and welcomed me as I just got off the plane. I believe he was doing a ton of voiceover work back then as well as producing. We chatted like old friends about residuals and royalty checks. Me dreaming about my first one and his 14 in his mailbox that week. All of his success is well deserved and I can only imagine how wonderful this documentary is going to be. Bravo!
Billy Vera had a great doo wop show on LA radio (took over for Tim Hauser). Very unique speaking voice. I must have heard 1000 radio commercials featuring him.
I guess when you have real talent it always shines through and in the case of Billy Vera this is certainly true. This guy is the Real Deal and his career speaks for itself in so many way's. I feel lucky to have sat and listened to him sing many nights back in the early to mid 60's Jim Hill

For the longest time I only knew of him as part of Billy Vera and Judy Clay, "Storybook Children". On the strength of that one highly underrated record I should have guessed there was a lot more to the man. Some are born to do what they do. Seems like Billy is high among these.
He's a one hit wonder who made one of the prettiest love songs ever AT THIS MOMENT... Also he must be an exceptional social politician as he's been given all these opportunities to produce things in Hollywood... while looking like someone's grocer uncle.
