I remember when this came out, I was blown away by the performances. Robert could still hit those notes in "Over the Hills...". Amazing stuff. Looking forward to Part 2!!
Oh yes, Robert could go Over the Range and Far Away on this one. Really a superior take from TSRTS in 1973. Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
Merry Christmas to you as well, thanks so much for your super chat! I will not hesitate and buy a new copy of ITTOD now. No, i won't, i will have a pizza!

@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Storiesthat would be great! I love those Copenhagen gigs. I picked up tickets for Becoming Led Zeppelin for the imax showing in Toronto. Can’t wait! Will you be able to catch it Jose?
Thanks for all the videos. Led Zep was one of the first bands I was drawn to. Them, The Doors, Hendrix, The GD, JGB. It's too bad they went down in flames here in the states.
@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories Absolutely, however I am partial on the '72 tour, some of '73, and all of '75. '75 was such a powerhouse it is hard to beat. I think what occurred on the later half of the '77 US tour is something the band never fully recovered from. The Oakland incident and then the death of Robert Plant's child were all too much. To each their own though. Each era had its own identity and its own importance in legend of the Zep. One of a kind.
Fantastic summary as usual Jose. Amazing research. Brilliant research. The LA Drone was made from the sound created from the Shruti Box which Jimmy loved. I saw Roberts last show with Saving Grace 24/11/24, his vocal was excellent for a 76 year old. Highlights were the Rain Song, Friends, Four Sticks & Hangman. Looking forward to episode 2 of HTWWW 👍 Keep Music Live 🎶🙏
I really like Robert's Saving Grace stuff, he sounds amazing! His solo career just keeps getting better! Thanks for watching Paul, Happy Holidays to you! , stay tuned for Episode 2!
I use the 2003 DVD set as a sound test for my guest. Required is the right equipment. Mine is a one million dollar plus McIntosh Labs home theater. It has to be played in DTS. I go to a live Zeppelin concert. DVD audio will blow your mind.
I have never heard three instruments and a voice sound as powerful as HTWWO. No wonder they ruled the world for 12 years. Inactive since 1980 but still power, mystery and the hammer of the Gods.
Thanks for the hard work you put into this Jose I purchased this on day one and it was a big surprise to me as I hadn’t got any of the ‘72 bootlegs at the time ( I was just starting my trip down the bootlegs rabbit hole). Looking forward to the rest of the series wishing you and your family all the best for the holiday season cheers 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It's funny how 1972 Boots are not the ones we start our journey on and we should, i mean, the JUNE shows are SO, SO good yet there's a vibe missing which i think i explained on this episode. You need the extra reasons behind shows! Thank you Paul for watching and your year-long support of the channel. Happy Holidays to you and your family as well!
Jose ...my man thanks for all your amazing work on our favorite band Led Zeppelin. Your skills on video making and editing are just perfect.Yeah the small US tour in 72 is strange imo. Peter Grant was Good and Bad for the band..... Something needed to change in 72 and it did obviously as 73 Zeppelin became the BIGGEST band in the world.... Imo they were the biggest band from 69 throughout 78 and of course scored a #1 in 79 with your fav ITTOD. ✌🏼🤘🏼👍🏼
I appreciate your kind words about the video, and I agree Peter Grant was a very complex and controversial character. I think 1975 though , caught them off guard, it was not easy being at the top. It was easier for the Stones with those setlists...the "party" setlists. Zepp...a whole different beast! Stay tuned for episode 2!
A superb analysis as expected Jose! Appreciate your efforts! I’m a diehard SRTS & BBC fan for Zeppelin live work … I’ve recently pulled out HTWWW to revisit this body of work.
Thank you very much! I think BBC and TSRTS benefit from the fact songs were cut, it's better paced i think. HTWWW had a strong set list but the vibes...those vibes count!
Your attention to detail is unreal. This is my first time hearing Zep perform Louie Lou-i..awesome. I love how you showcase Zep evolving through their tours...just like you did specifically with NO Quarter MSG 1973. It's funny hearing your take on this entire album. The first time I heard any of this album or even knew it's existence was flying with my best friend winter 2005 to LA, California from Rochester, NY...kinda ironic now that I'm typing this out. The first song my friend introduced me to on this album was "Since I've Been Lovin' You"...and I absolutely fell in love with that version. I felt that Plant's strained, "nasally voice", added to the emotion he gave that song. We had a blast that trip...up and down the west coast from Hermosa Beach to San Lois Obisbo driving Route 1, smoking & toking, listening to this album non-stop. You brought back a great memory and really helped me regain an appreciation for that special trip...especially now that I'm married with two young kids. Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing this story with me. It's moments like these that remind me why I put so much time and passion into creating these videos. Your journey with Led Zeppelin-from that first introduction to "Since I've Been Loving You" on a road trip along the West Coast-is such a vivid and beautiful memory. It’s incredible how music, especially Zep's, can anchor us to a specific time and place, and even years later, those emotions come flooding back. I love that you connected with the evolution of their sound, especially how I tried to highlight their growth with "No Quarter" MSG 1973. It's a special feeling when others pick up on those details. And I completely agree with you-Plant's raw, nasally tone in that era brings a kind of visceral, emotional weight to songs like "Since I've Been Loving You." It’s amazing how those nuances make the music feel so deeply personal.
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Storiesyou are one talented guy…even your return comments are heartfelt and awesome! Zep has always “anchored” me in a moment in time. Other bands have had the same affect on me (Zep will always be my OG)…Pink Floyd - Animals, Rolling Stones, Even Fleetwood Mac (when Stevie Nicks & LB joined)…I could go on & on. Thank you. Merry Christmas
In June of 72 I was 4 about to turn 5 and about 5 miles away from the Swing auditorium. (Hey how come my parents wouldn't let me go to the concert??!!) and I've seen that footage of Page playing with his rose sleeved shirt and I always thought I seemed to be so different in that he was wearing jeans and then then the flashy shirt. I had no idea it was the first time he wore it, and I can see that it was the start of a new flashier, showier Zeppelin. Fascinating history!
…same here, Jose. You KNOW the heights of my Zeppelin fandom - but some reason or another this cd set didn’t stick on me for long back in ‘03 when it dropped. Maybe I already knew too much about the band and this release was already old-hat for me personally. There some fine moments no doubt. Especially the WLL medley. Bonzo’s timing and blues drumming during the entire span of it, is something to behold. Without him keeping precious time, the entire thing would’ve been an absolute disaster. He was a great blues drummer and many need to be reminded of just that. I’m sure I’ll revisit this set again…but in the meantime I listen to the entire audience tape from 6-25-72 on LZBoots’ channel.
I agree with you 100%. Actually the BOOT itself really underlines the mixing problems on HTWWW, boosting the guitars so much hurt Bonham's sound and he really carried the band at the FORUM and Long Beach....his timekeeping and yes, the blues feel, second to none! Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
I’ll ALWAYS tune in to your vids Jose. You do a tremendous job at em. Very well researched. In Europe ‘73 when they break down into I Can’t Quit You, it’s so slow and contorted that it’s barely recognizable!…yet if you pay close attention and try to keep the time in your mind…you’ll realize that Bonzo is STILL one step ahead of you and just SO ON TOP of the groove. It’s really not an easy thing to do! Thank GOD for John Bonham!
Jose, you took the words right out of my mouth right before you said it about the 1971 Japan show, I've wanted myself why that has never been released officially as well as one of the early 1973 Germany shows, from that famous run of shows
Hey Paul! I think it's down to the set list you know? Between the ton of covers on Whoe Lotta Love's medley to the lack of No Quarter, maybe they feel it's not complete? Also, i think the media pushes Graffiti SO much, their early period is distorted from the casual fan perspective. Somehow people think a Zeppelin concert has Immigrant Song and Kashmir LOL. Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
Oh heck yeah! Can't wait for JCM'S in depth look at how this came to be. What an unbelievable treat this release was back n the day! It was a revelation, as not being very aware of bootlegs all I primary had to go on for Led Zep live was TSRTS
Nice one Jose. I like this album, even if it's just for the different mix of tracks. I also play a lot of Zepp mixes on Spotify. Playlists put together by different artists like Jack White, The Black Keys, Tom Morello etc. Would be interesting to see your ultimate Zepp playlist of 20 - 30 even 40 songs.
40 songs...damn Scott, that would be hard. But i plan on sharing my ranking of all their songs, EVERY track...we'll see hehe. Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
Muchas gracias James! Decidí que es una intro que me hace sentir cerca de ese sueño, un largometraje algún día. Vamos un episodio a la vez! Espero hayas disfrutado el episodio 1, el 2 viene cargado de MUCHA informacion de sonido!

We definitely do need an official live release of Tangerine, it's such a beautiful song. Simply stunning. In my high-school we had an excellent school rock band. Tangerine was one of the tracks they played in the school hall, together with That's The Way, Goin' To California, and Bron-Y-Aur. They also played If & Fat Old Sun, by Pink Floyd, inter alia.
I think it's one of the best ones they have too. What a memory! Tangerine really captures 1970 very well! Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
we all appreciate the dedication and effort you put into this content. Im not sure how big of a sabbath fan you are, but I cant help but wonder the possibilities of black sabbath being a band you would incorporate into the channel. to me personally they go hand in hand with led zeppelin. how many copies do you have of In through the out door?
With all due respect, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath have little in common. Zeppelin's real contemporaries were not Sabbath (or Purple). Zeppelin were so much more than those two bands. As a Zeppelin fan, I'd rather listen to The Beatles, Stones, The Who, Floyd than the likes of Sabbath and Purple. Just saying.
Hey Joel! Thank you for the kind words. Although i am no expert on Sabbath, i have my favorite albums. Because i own 63 copies of In Through the Out Door, you can imagine where i would like to begin a Sabbath journey, definitely not Paranoid!
I purchased this set on the day it was released. I was blown away when Robert was scattin’ to Walter’s Walk and The Crunge during Dazed. To settle the debate: BBC was their best live recordings to date. Page should put out a full Earl’s Court box set, like Band of Gypsys. Cmon Jimmy!
YESSS Robert's scat on Walter's Walk is KILLER. Band of Zepps, Earl's Court 1975 in full? I really like BBC Disc 2, the 1971 show! Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
A major marketing mistake. From memory, here in the UK the Led Zeppelin DVD and HTWWW were released on the same day. I bought both, played the DVD non-stop and pretty much ignored the CD. Surely the CD should have been released earlier. Seems like a basic error.
It was a marketing mistake indeed. I knew a lot of friends and record collectors who to this day think HTWWW is the soundtrack for the DVD. (Which makes no sense as 5 hours can't be put on a 3CD Set) but i like to always analyze the market's perception of a release. Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
The version of "Whole Lotta Love" is pretty damn good on here, especially the theremin mixed with Bonham's frantic drumming. I also like the inclusion of "Going Down Slow" in the middle. Overall, these songs sound really raw and loud, not compressed and overly mixed.
The 2018 release really fixed this and you can enjoy the RAW energy as we were supposed to back in 2003. Whole Lotta Love when they come back into the WOMAN, YOU NEED IT.....LOOOOOVE. That part right there just....invincible! Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for Episode 2!
Southern California native here. Love the opening radio interview (KLOS I believe?) and all the graphics during the opening credits . You nailed the vibe , brother. Just landed a sealed Zep 1 double sided Peros cut. One of the best sounding records I’ve ever heard.
Seattle on the 18th and 19th would have been the better shows to record for an eventual live album release. I agree with this sentiment stated by some fans as you mentioned. They played 3 encores on the Seattle 19th show, where they had a lot of fun on stage, with Bonham singing vocals on more than one improv track. Legendary show.
Zeppelin and Seattle was a very powerful combination right? I mean Seattle 1973 too, there was something special at this city that made them push their own limits! Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories I totally agree. It has been said their 3 favorite places to play were LA, NY and Seattle, with Seattle rivaling LA for the fun they had there. Seattle reminded them of home, with the climate and they loved the outdoors, fishing and the like. Plant often jokes on stage with the good fishing they had in Seattle at the early 70's shows. Of course he is referring and joking about July 27th 1969, Seattle Pop, staying at the Edgewater Inn and the famous mudshark incident, LOL. !! Listening to Plant and the band on the Seattle bootlegs is a real treat, funny stuff that often goes over the head of the crowds. He often refers back to Seattle Pop. I wish a bootleg of that surfaces someday. Would be a true holy Grail, the only time they played with The Doors at a concert or Pop Festival like that.
I bought it when it came out. I was 16 in 2003 and the DVD blew...my...head...off. You're right about HTWWW suffering in the shadow of the DVD. Best moment is Immigrant Song (ferocious) but Over The Hills is awesome too ("Acapulco gold!") Interesting you say that about Plant's vocals. He's learning to sing with the band in a different way in 1972. Is Dancing Days on it aswell? That one works so well live. Zep now NEED something live released from 1975 or 1977.
16 in 2003, we're the same age it seems! I windowshopped a lot for this record cause i couldn't afford it hehe. Dancing Days i would say went along with his new voice much better, thus why it was pushed as a single. Zeppelin needs to put out 1977 product...yes......for like...yesterday! Man I hated Linkin Park back in 2003...my highchool friends insisted i should listen to them hahahahha. Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories Thank you for the reply. Correction to my earlier comment. My PARENTS bought me the CD. And the DVD. And I think I got a cheap Samick bass guitar that year too, so I was really spoilt. And which bass player did I set my sights on being as good as? Sir John Paul Jones of course. That's like buying a pair of hiking boots and expecting to climb Everest. Good times for Zep fans, 2nd trailer for Becoming Led Zeppelin has arrived. I just watched a really good Yardbirds documentary tonight here in the UK on Sky Arts. Paul Samwell-Smith was praised highly in it for being the first really HEAVY bassist and it brought to mind things JPJ would do on the debut album, no doubt influenced by him. Also, that Yardbirds solo that Page implanted in Immigrant Song live 1972...blew me away. Again, your attention to detail is what makes you the best, my friend.
Oh, to be a fly on the wall in the Riot House whenever Zeppelin were there in the 70s. If a Time Machine is invented in my lifetime then that is my first destination.
Hey JCM! Not sure if you've addressed it already, but what happened to the Band Of Gypsys video you made a few months ago? Watched about half of it, and when I went to finish it I noticed the wasn't up anymore.
Hey Willard thanks for your question. Sp i got a strange copyright strike (i suspect why...) so they made me take it down and i decided to host it on my Patreon site along other Patreon exclusive videos :)
Between this and tsrts for me the best versions of the HOTH songs. Not sure why but I love them live more than studio. And I can't say that for the rest of their albums.
Yes i agree, Houses is actually the album that best translated to a live setting, the one you can tell they rehearsed the most, meaning, developed as a concert experience. This is why i just need a live album that HAS The Song Remains The Same, The Rain Song. A great thing would've been for Houses Companion Disc on the 2015 reissues to have live cuts from all these songs except D'yer Ma'ker which was never performed as a standalone number. Thanks for watching Matt! Stay tuned for Episode 2!
Very cool. Great details and research. HTWWW is not my fave, despite some bad rep, TSRTS is. For the version of No Quarter alone, which I believe to be Pages finest solo ever "put on wax.". SIBLY (which should have been included upon initial release, is the definitive, if not "cobbled" together version, and the title cut and TRS are among LZ's finest moments. In my old age I cannot slog thru the 26 minute version of D&C any more...I can watch it, but listening?...ehhh not so much. I had a few boots from the HTWWW era, and I dunno...some of its too rushed and Plant, I mean lets face it, even for die hard fans his incessant screeching and caterwauling can be an endurance test. I am looking forward to the new documentary, tho I am sure it will offer no new insights, but I think they must be including the "Supershow" footage, which as of yet has never been officially sanctioned. Keep up the great work Jose, always a fun and informative journey.
I think the most important part of Becoming Led Zeppelin is the unseen footage and the BONHAM INTERVIEW, that alone is GOLD. I am with you on TSRTS, it's my favorite too. HTWWW at least showed a different angle to the band on the official release bandwagon, but the timing was not right! Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
I bought the CD the day it came out and was interviewed by Fox25 News Boston at the Newbury Comics Record Store in Braintree, MA as I was buying it and was asked if I would ever a counterfeit copy and I said no because I would rather spend the money on a professional pressed copy with silver CDS, real booklet not an MP3 rip with a print of the cover and back. I didn’t get the DVD until three days later and watched it as I recovered from a stomach virus. The album debuted at Number One here in the United States and did sell 333,333 copies therefore it went Platinum (it was a 3 CD set and the set counted as three sold). It has its merits but I prefer The Song Remains the Same and long for Earls Court 1975 or Knebworth as an audio only release.
333,333 copies, talk about a number for a 3 CD set. Numerology fans would go crazy for this. Like you i go for TSRTS. A dream sounding boot would be No Quarter a la HTWWW. They should release Earl's Court!
@ I learned from the RIAA that a double album over 90 minutes needed to sell one two record set to count as one double album sold. Instead of 1,000,000 a double album needed to sell 500,000 double LPs and CDs to go Platinum. A triple album only needs to sell 333,333 triple albums or 3 CD set to sell Platinum in the States Four disc sets 250,000 copies need to sell for Platinum certification. To be fair How the West Was Won outsold Rush In Rio which was also a 3 CD set and that sold 166,666 copies so it got certified Gold in the States. Robbie Williams (not the former Pink Floyd Tour Production Manager but the UK equivalent of Justin Timberlake) was mercifully not as successful in the States but we had to contend with Robbie’s US counterpart Justin and the female teen idols at the time Britney (who is now on her way to being another drug casualty), Christina (who got her act together and is a hands on mother raising her son from first marriage and daughter from current marriage) and Beyoncé (who is now a juggernaut). At least Bat Out of Hell got trounced in the States by Rumours, Saturday Night Fever and the first Boston album sales wise. The best album Meatloaf ever sang on was the best Ted Nugent album 1976’s Free For All. In fact his first US show he opened up for Cheap Trick and the Cheap Trick fans not only booed but flipped him off, threw beer bottles and were spitting on him.
23:07 This is the first time it’s ever occurred to me. Could the part in Heartbreaker (post solo, back into the song) be the original source for the main riff on the SONG “Houses of the Holy” ??? I don’t know as much about guitar (chords, what key it’s in) but for a mili- second after the Feelin Groovy notes I thought it was the HOTH (the song) main riff.
I notice that LA Drone appears to use the same looping drone technique as Lucifer's Rising, which I believe is a bowed acoustic. I'm not sure how the loops were made though.
It kinda sounds like L.R Soundtrack yes, but the thing is, you can here some slight tape paste effect, which is literally a cut and paste job in 1972. Starting off your show with a DRONE was a very cool way to set up the mood! Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
I’ve always been bothered by the complete removal of stage banter and plantations for this album. If you didn’t know better, you would think Zeppelin preferred to play songs back-to-back-to-back, without pausing, like The Ramones. I need to hear Plant interacting with the audience, and being able to catch my breath between songs. It just flows so much better to my ears, especially because I have the originally released “volume wars” pressing. I mean, they seemed to cut out anything that happened between the songs, and it’s just too noticeable.
Yes, Robert's banter in between the songs really grounds them to reality. His tongue in cheek attitude helps. And i think this is what most photocopies after him MISSED. Hard rock became too damn serious Whitesnakish! The 2018 HTWWW version is the best! Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for Episode 2!
Page removed a lot of Keith Relf's stage banter from Yardbirds '68 too. Then again, without Page's efforts, there'd never have been a Yardbird '68 in the first place.
I waited long to get it. The downside of buying the 2018 version is that even for a Zepp completist, you will want to sell your 2003 copy hehe. Sometimes i have to stop myself from listing it online :)
Funny I worked in a record store in 70s. Never heard about bootlegs. Want till later in 80s. I saw a ad in the back of a rock magazine that was there for a long time . That said they had them. I called the number. Tslked to a guy had a lot of details etc sounded. Very knowledgeable . I sent 100 $. Never got them. Then the ads stopped running. Phone disconnected. Never sought them out again . Wasn’t till TH-cam till I heard all of them
Oh man, you were scammed by a bootleg salesman. I've been there unfortunately, early on. Promised myself never to BUY these. They should be FREE! Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for Episode 2!
Your production level has increased but your vocal recordings are uncannily consistent lol. I'm a die hard fan but for some odd reason this live album has never resonated well with me. I still rate TSRTS and BBC Sessions ahead of this and would rather listen to the Burn Like A Candle boot for 72.
Uncannily consistent haha, hope that's good. The only voice i have man :) Thank you!!! When i analyze the bootleg, i think the final answers will be given as to why this album had so much potential but...suffered from modern production sins!
Adalberto! Thanks for watching first of all, and please get the 2018 version, you won't be dissapointed in terms of SOUND. It definitely makes the 2003 set pale in comparison!
A box set of Earl's Court 1975 would be better because MSG 1973 has some conflict of rights with Warner Bros in terms of sound bits FROM the movie! They should call the Earl's Court Set...maybe....Physical BOXETTI? Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for Episode 2!
I think Oaska 1971 could rival HTWWW. Seattle 1975 not so sure because of the vibes, but they did have the Graffiti material so it could be an extended listen to TSRTS maybe :)
I was always a more led zep studio guy, love the live stuff but trying to play the songs live was way to hard to do with one guitar player, some of the live songs like The Song Remains the same and No Quarter are fantastic but songs that are very orchestrated like Ten Years Gone just didn't work, but I own a lot of live stuff and bootlegs that I still listen to.
On the face of it, you wouldn't think The Rain Song would work live but that version on TSRTS is better than the studio version as far as Im concerned. Same with No Quarter.
It depends on the mood i think. I prefer the Houses of the Holy material live for example. They were both brilliant on and off the stage and didn't resort to backing tracks like some famous rockstars....who charge premium price for it! Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!

The 2003 release was really hard to listen to, awful mastering!! Plus I wasn't fond of Roberts vocals at times, some of the songs were rushed, but of course there were many moments of glory, like the Crunge section in Dazed and Confused, I liked many of the jams in Whole Lotta Love, Immigrant song is insanely good...... Because I love Zeppelin so much it was a time capsule that I couldn't get enough of despite the short commings, which, to be honest were few......The remastered was something I very much appreciated, finally able to enjoy the album without the listening fatigue you get from the 2003 version...
I am with you Kev. The 2003 release was always hard. I mean it sounded like Metallica St. Anger in places DAMN. Moby Dick that 19 minute version, i used to walk to work listening to it! Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
Complaining no. Objectively looking at things yes. Also he did not take care of his voice. Even Janis adviced him to do do. Yes the tours were grueling. Look at Gillan, took care of his instrument. Now the good thing for Robert was that away from high screaming past 1973 he found a better more tasteful way for singing. It's no secret his SOLO career is so successful. Every limitation opens a new door of opportunity. Thanks for watching Ron!
haha, if i mentioned meatloaf bat out of hell, i'd have to use curse words. horrible. and overrated. and proof that todd rundgren definitely has flaws .. that said, to the task at hand, 'how the west was won' is def my favorite live zeppelin release. immigrant song is amazing.. better than the original. not that it's a competition. but seriously. more people need to pursue. recommended oh yes ..

Merry Christmas JCM!! I saved this Video for Christmas Eve!! The only way to Listen to It is with PIZZA & COLD BEER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jose' --- thank you for this video. Outstanding work.
Merry Christmas , my friend
Merry Christmas to you as well, thanks so much for your super chat! I will not hesitate and buy a new copy of ITTOD now. No, i won't, i will have a pizza!

Thank you for doing what you do! This stuff is better than any book I’ve read or doc I’ve watched. Looking forward to more
Thanks, that's really high praise, I appreciate it Casey! Stay tuned for Episode 2, we'll go deep into the archives to see how the final selection was made!
Excellent Vid Jose & can’t wait for Pt 2. It’ll be truly Epic no doubt. Thanx & Merry Christmas Man !
Thanks, it's a lot of work, but a great reward to see it come together, how can we not LOVE this band right Ian? Merry Christmas to you too!
Excellent job,Jose. So much detail …..with a touch of humour. Looking forward to episode 2. Thank you! ✌️
Always my pleasure Tim! How i wish Jimmy would release COPENHAGEN 1979 July 24th or a mix from both nights, with the title of Becoming Scandinavia :)
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Storiesthat would be great! I love those Copenhagen gigs. I picked up tickets for Becoming Led Zeppelin for the imax showing in Toronto. Can’t wait! Will you be able to catch it Jose?
Obscured by clouds is the lost Floyd album. It’s so good like this video Jose. You are the man for everything zep
Immigrant song is by far the best live song on the album! Raw & hits like a hammer!!❤
It's BRUTAL, this is a big reason why Metal didn't have a huge impact on me lol.
Thanks for all the videos. Led Zep was one of the first bands I was drawn to. Them, The Doors, Hendrix, The GD, JGB. It's too bad they went down in flames here in the states.
Thank YOU for watching Brett! The GD, JGB....classic choices indeed! I still think Zepp's latter day period is fantastic!!
Another great video Jose, I can't wait for part two!
Thanks David! I will go deep into the studio mixing board...very interesting things will be revealed!!!!
70-72 was peak live Zeppelin, this album is peak live Zeppelin. Nothing on BBC, on DVD or TSRTS tops this.
Wishing You A Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year, José! 🎁🎄✨
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too! Thanks for watching!
Thank you again for another amazing video. I thought I was a zeppelin expert.😂😂 but we all bow down to you. Thank you for your station.✌🏼

Excellent work yet again.

Another gem jose
I use the 2003 DVD set as a sound test for my guest. Required is the right equipment. Mine is a one million dollar plus McIntosh Labs home theater. It has to be played in DTS. I go to a live Zeppelin concert. DVD audio will blow your mind.
I have never heard three instruments and a voice sound as powerful as HTWWO.
No wonder they ruled the world for 12 years.
Inactive since 1980 but still power, mystery and the hammer of the Gods.
I completely agree...it's my favorite performance of Since I've....
They still rule😊
And to think Meat Loaf's Bat out of Hell is considered a classic. Such a music sin compared to the greatest band of the 70s, LED ZEPPELIN :)
Looking forward to this, Jose! 2025 looking up for Zeppelin! Happy holidays. Ernie
Thanks Ernie! This is gonna be a wild ride! Happy Holidays to you !!
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories Outstanding video as usual, Jose.......wow.
Thank you! Taking my time for part 2. I will show the magic behind the audio and post production.

Amazing Video, Thank you.
I am so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for Episode 2!
Great work as usual. Nuff said. Have a Cool Yule dude.Best wishes from an old Zephead in England.
Hey Malc! Always my pleasure, keep on rocking man, cheers and Happy Holidays to you in England!!!!
I found HTWWW at athens airport after 2004 olympics, Id never heard of it! It was by far my most favourite trip back to Australia. 11hrs of LZ

Wow...bold opinion!! It doesn't have No Quarter nor the fine MSG Dazed!! Heje
HTWWW is a great live albulm , I've got them all it's my personal favourite
Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching Dave! Stay tuned for Episode 2!

@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories No you Really can't go wrong with Led Zeppelin. I will!
Best moment is Immigrant Song (ferocious) but Over The Hills is awesome too ("Acapulco gold!")
Interesting you say that about Plant's vocals.
I really missed Louie, Louie on this album. It was done in Seattle since the Kingsmen were from there.
Wow Daniel, i didn't know The Kingsmen were from Seattle. This explains it!!! Fantastic. Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for Episode 2!
Over the hills was great too
Oh, to be a fly on the wall in the Riot House whenever Zeppelin were there in the 70s. If a Time Machine is invented in my lifetime then that is my first destination.
A band that sounded like nobody else, before or since.

@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories Lol! Will do Jose!
I had no clue that it wasn’t generally regarded as being the best live Zeppelin record.
A triple album only needs to sell 333,333 triple albums or 3 CD set to sell Platinum in the States
Four disc sets 250,000 copies need to sell for Platinum certification.

This is the first time it’s ever occurred to me. Could the part in Heartbreaker (post solo, back into the song) be the original source for the main riff on the SONG “Houses of the Holy” ???
I don’t know as much about guitar (chords, what key it’s in) but for a mili- second after the Feelin Groovy
notes I thought it was the HOTH (the song) main riff.
Just release the hd multitracks from both complete shows already.
100% Agree!
I have the version from 2003, is it worth getting the remastered 2018?
It is King Lizard. Please get the 2018 version. Every minute of music sounds Superb. I was hesitant trust me...now i can enjoy the concert :)
Thank you for your answer. Then I will get the 2018 version.
I waited long to get it. The downside of buying the 2018 version is that even for a Zepp completist, you will want to sell your 2003 copy hehe. Sometimes i have to stop myself from listing it online :)
I’m surprised because I love How the West was Won and don’t like the Song remains the same.
Both are great, depends on the context and what one looks for in these recordings! Led Zeppelin IS ALL GOOD :)

Jimmy 🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃 😆😂
Bonham's drums could trigger the San Andrea's fault? Yes!!
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas would be a very different game if Bonzo kept playin California!
L A Drone........Jimmy nicking from all four corners of the planet.
That was a killer Drone :)
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories That it was !!
Damn. My cds are the old ones. Now I have to buy the 2018 version. Ignorance is bless 😖
Adalberto! Thanks for watching first of all, and please get the 2018 version, you won't be dissapointed in terms of SOUND. It definitely makes the 2003 set pale in comparison!
@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories I ordered yesterday, just after the video 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
woulld like a box set of MSG 73.... and box of Earls 75
👍
Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
You think concerts like live at Seattle 75 and osaka 71 bootlegs with very good quality are better than htwww and TSRTS?
I think Oaska 1971 could rival HTWWW. Seattle 1975 not so sure because of the vibes, but they did have the Graffiti material so it could be an extended listen to TSRTS maybe :)
The bootleg recordings are super rare and a real treat for sure! I would say Osaka 1971 could rival HTWWW BIG TIME!
How the west was won and where it got us.
Oh wait. That's REM. Never mind.
REM works, as long as it leads us back to 1972!!! These shows are INCREDIBLE!
Whats with the commercials every 5 minutes ,is that youtubes idea??
It is! Sorry but those ads definitely keep us content creators alive :) thanks for watching
What you think about the Millard recordings of LA in 1977 and the bootleg of blueberry hill
I'm new in your Chanel I didn't know you have a video of the concerts in LA I'm going to watch that video
Leonardo Welcome to the Channel! I have a playlist of Zepp Concert Retrospectives. The L.A Series is included although on a separate playlist. th-cam.com/video/D390YzijuYg/w-d-xo.html
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories man your videos are awesome you put a lot of work also I watch the video of ELP debut because I'm a big fan of ELP but only until brain salad surgery i think the debut tarkus pictures trilogy and brain salad surgery are masterpieces but since works I'm not a big fan
Oh man Thats great i love ELP. I think Love Beach is a misunderstood album. Not a classic of course...but the story behind it is worth!
Which is the bootleg that Sounds better of 1972
Leonardo you mean from the whole tour of North America 1972?
@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories the year in general I only listen parts from Tokyo (beautiful version of the rain song) and Sydney
When people complain about plants range. Imagine screaming your fucking brains out 5 nights a week for three hours then talk.
And having to be heard loud and proud above Page, Bonham and Jones.
I wonder why they skipped the Bay Area in 72.
You mean San Francisco?
Yes, SF, Oakland or Berkeley.
haha, if i mentioned meatloaf bat out of hell, i'd have to use curse words. horrible. and overrated. and proof that todd rundgren definitely has flaws .. that said, to the task at hand, 'how the west was won' is def my favorite live zeppelin release. immigrant song is amazing.. better than the original. not that it's a competition. but seriously. more people need to pursue. recommended oh yes ..
Luckily HTWWW is unmeatloafed hehe. I hear you!! Thanks for watching, stay tuned for Episode 2!
There is NO contest. HTWWW is far superior to TSRTS...I was AT both shows it aint even close...BBC sessions is also far superior to TSRTS
Episode 2 will definitely help support this idea. Trust me! Just awesome to read you were there!!! Incredible.
TSRTS is the worst of their released live stuff
1 is Royal Albert hall..
GREATEST live album of all time.
How the west was Won #3 BBC #2
No Quarter, The Rain Song and Since I've Been Loving You from TSRTS cannot be beaten though.
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories Was at Nassau Coliseum in 72 (first time I ever saw them...I only knew the AM version of Whole Lotta Love...twas a Religious experience) saw all 3 shows in 73 at The Garden
Wow all 3 shows at the Garden too???? I SALUTE YOU. It's an honor to have you tune in to these!
Yes, this is horrible. This idea.
?
@benedictdonald4338 Office Space quotes. JCM knows. Just got notification his presentation on HTWWW is on. Later.
I saw it on Superman 3!
The missing CB always grated!!
Yeah, with the 1972 Power going they really went 1969 on it. Crazy how it sounded in 1975 compared to this!
