Grateful to you for the introduction to Rolef, these are perfect, saving my pennies! I attend dog training events where my dogs spend all day in the van when not working, this will be great! Thank you.
@@DoggyU I took 2 Bouviers through AKC CD, CDX, now less interested in competing than in education. I work my Giant Schnauzer with trainers in Columbus, OH for Mondio Ring and before Covid, I attended workshops with Suzanne Clothier, Brenda Aloff, Pat Miller, and Fenzi Dog Training Camp.
Was considering this aswell. We just bought our promaster, just spent $1000 on heavy duty magnet insulating window covers. Might have to get back to work to earn enough for these too!
Hey Bren - where did you get your insulated windows from? The screens are so great - I think the door one is the critical one for us with dogs if we had to pick one.
Yeah it's a really awesome product. I'm sure there's something similar near you. So many companies are jumping on the van bandwagon! Makes for a lot of nice choices!
Good job lady coming so my window shade cover things for me you look like you do a good job and I'm too lazy and I don't have a sewing machine and did I mention I'm too lazy
Yeah they aren't cheap. But it's definitely a "you get what you pay for" situation. The material is top quality and I can trust my dogs to stay in it. It's easy to get in and out. They are like the Cadillac of screens lol!
I don't understand the value of having the screens on yr back door if you have windows on yr back door you cud open for ventilation. What am I missing? btw great video u did here. Professional.
Hey! Admittedly the slider screen is more useful, but the back one is also useful for two reasons. The back window openings are so tiny! only a 4 inch by 4 inch opening which provides very little venting so having both the back and side open makes it lovely and keeps it cool in there. Also, one of the things I loved about the van was being able to be in bed with both doors open for a full view of nature without the bugs. So if I had to choose only one, it would be the slider, but both are useful in their own way :)
Hello from Canada! Just subscribed to your channel. Great info, thanks for sharing. I'm about to embark on living in a van with my dog Hank. I need all the tips I can get for training Hank the Tank! Lol
Haha! Awesome! Congrats on your new journey! We're about to embark on a 2 month cross country adventure - stay tuned for a new video tonight! This channel has dog training tips, reviews of products, as well as vanlife stuff so I think you're in the right place! Give Hank an extra cookie for us ;)
DoggyU Thanks, just checking out some of your videos now. Enjoy your cross country tour!😊 Hank says thanks for reminding mom to give me yet another treat! Lol 🙄
Love that I came across this video, this is great. Side note do you think the back screen could be used to create a privacy screen between the front and the cab?
I'm not sure if you mean that it would exclusively be stationed between the cab and front, but it is a hard install so it couldn't be moved between the two. Honestly, there's probably a cheaper way to achieve a privacy screen. Those screens are an investment lol!
DoggyU: Nope, I am a dreamer of van or skoolie life. I started with Tiny House viewing, but a van maybe more doable. Is your rig a Sprinter? This is the first time I seen your channel.
That's a super nice screen setup. I went to the web site, but no mention of pricing? Could you please provide approx pricing you paid. we'll probably want Front Only, but that depends. Thanks!
This is a 159 Ram Promaster. I got a discount on the screens because they were changing the style a bit but I believe they are $800 a piece. You can check their website at rolef.ca
Hi Lisa - I know they ship and you may be able to pay them to come and install them for you - I don't work for them so I would call the company and find out :)
We are making our own screen door like this and was wondering about the magnetic closure. How does the magnetic closure work? Is one side a solid bar and the other a magnetic tape? Do both sides have (like 2" x 1/2") magnetic bars spaced evenly across from each other? Can you describe it? Thanks.
They are magnetic bars running all the way down both sides. Can't see inside so not exactly sure the actual product. To roll it up, there is a zipper right near the bar and the middle section rolls up. The magnetic strips stay straight against the van door and do not roll up. Hope that helps!
where in Canada can I get those screen doors put in..I really those kind of screen for my 2010 Roadtrek .we tried to do a screen ourselves but it isn’t half as good as yours
Please let me know if you are still doing the screens ..we don’t live in Canada but as soon as we can come visit you we would love to have some screens like yours
Hi MJ M - I did not experience that issue at all :) The zippers are closed and only used for when you're rolling it up. The entrance and exit is through the magnetic part that seals.
Hi Kim and Kurt - I did not install them myself. I drove the van up to Canada (only 6 or so hours away for me) and had them installed. I do believe you *can* install them yourself though.

What if the dog scratches at the door. I've seen plenty of dogs that do this.
Fortunately my dogs are incredibly respectful of all barriers so that’s not an issue for us. If it was, you could put a pet gate in front of it.
