You are shifting to early. The Rebel 500 will go all the way to 60mph in 2nd gear. 9,000 rpm revlimiter. Top speed is 110mph achieved in 5th gear. 6th gear is a overdrive gear and should not be used in any perfomance type situation and will only slow you down. 6th gear also has a lower top speed than 5th gear usually hard to get over 101mph. I realize you are not going fast enough for 5th or 6th gear im just putting the information out there.
my rebel 500 does 140mph. I run shell vpower nitro it adds about 9hp to the wheel. I calculated it myself from acceleration g forces on my phone. That is in 4th gear btw. you dont need any higher than 4th when you have it modded because you cant use the power
