Nice to hear all of these Sequential synths back to back on "similar" sounds. My vote...P6, P12, OB6, 6 Track, followed by a tie between Rev2 and PX. Since the Pro 3 is mono I left it out of my rating. But if it were a poly synth I'd put it with a tie with the P6 in your comparison sounds. I used to think I'd favor the OB6 over the P6 but I can hear the P6 is more centered and probably better if you had to pick just one for your productions. Thanks for the comparisons. Of course now you have to get a P5/10 and update your video adding one of those.
Hey i love you man ! Just got my 6 track delivered today ! Cost 800 pounds serviced and ready to go ! Was this a good buy as i have every other brand but this is my first Sequential Keyboard out of my other 40 !
Yeah i love mine. Editing is limited to one knob but it sounds so good. Give it time and a chance. It grows on ya! Thanks for the love and much more back to you!
@@PureAmbientDrone can we communicate via another source ! i have a big studio 60 synths and drum machines, let alone effects ! How could we chat somehow ? Big love Bro x
While you mention that the Six-Trak is VCO based, I don’t think you ever mention that it is a one oscillator per voice synth. I have it’s successor, the Multi-Trak (bought new, S/N 72); they are both based on the same Curtis “synth on a chip” and the factory patches (by John Bowen) are absolutely amazing. If you didn’t know it only has one oscillator per voice, you’d never guess from listening to the factory patches.
Sorry if this has already been covered in another video. I’m wondering how you have all these set up to play at the same time? Are you running into a mixer or just a huge interface? As my collection grows I’d love to be able to run everything at the same time.

Love the sound of that Six-trak!😍
That Six Trk was BIG ❤️👍🏼
Have wanted a video like this, nicely done. Ob-6 has a sound all its own, just love that synth.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fun video, thank you for sharing. I am most interested in picking up a OB-6 down the line, but the Rev 2 sounded the best to me in this demo.
Thanks for watching! Yeah hard to get just one huh LOL SYNTH ON!
I’ve been WAITING for someone to do this❗️Thank you
You just sold me on the Prophet 6; your recent videos have been very useful!
Good thing there are many models to choose from. Everyone can adjust something to their own taste.

Im confused about the Sequential. Mostly looking for soft big sounds.
Fantastic, I can't make my mind up. Love OB6 and Prophet 6, I'll keep dreaming 🤣
Both are too good to say no too!
Oberheim sounds amazing !!! ...... sad they stoped making the ob2 pro
Yeh the oberheim 2 voice pro sounds phenomenal imo.
Dig all the DSI gear
No more Pro 2?
NOPE! BYE BYE Pro 2
which Dave Smith is your favourite?
The one that says Sequential on it. ;)

@@deanbridges572 okay I'll check it out when I get home .... right now I'm on my phone and I don't put Facebook on it
I’m on a desert island 🏝.
If the electronics hardware is different then the sound should be different.
OB so it gets my vote which sounds more 80's vintage to my liking
Did you use outboard effects? Reverb and or delay?
No. All effects are coming from the synths played.

Not as into a pro 3, for mono I prefer Moog grandmother or the voyager, poly I prefer sequential full analog.

I have a 32 channel mixer, the Studio Live III
I’m thinking of mabey selling my sub 37 and buying the pro3...Any thoughts?
I had the Sub 37 and did not connect with its sound. Pro 3 is a totally different animal in many ways and it will sound different.
I wanted to keep my Sub 37 CV to add Pro 3. Play together (because of CV outs on my 37) ... but seems landing on Iridium :)
They all sound very same ..... great to me :) way cool approach to look at it like software PV! music is about random poking :)
You have 5 different synths they should all sound slightly different. ❤
❤
Do you like your six traks?
I loved its sound but I had to part ways with it as I had no place to really place it where I could reach it. Too bad but space is a need over here.
I’ll keep that in mind. I want to use it for ambient and techno. Seems to be a real gem. Thanks for recommending.
It seems to have a similar character to the other prophets and similar architecture/ design
With all these money spend in more moderns prophets, you can buy a original prophet five, and ob12. with this 2 synths its best gear
Why an OB12 … ?!
The prophet xl is all of these synths in one ☝🏾
Man! They ALL 🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹 SOUNDED ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! You should sell them to me! 😀
HA HA nice try LOL SYNTH ON!
😂😂😂😂
You’re right that P12 is damn close... imho actually sounds fatter then the P6. Still not liking the Pro 3
