    Randy that Saturn Redline would be a great car for the channel, doesn’t look too bad to fix and it seems like a very fun car

      I remember these cars being advertised on TV when I was in high school
      I thought they were the coolest thing out there I wanted one.

    If you can get the parts, the Redline is a worthy contender.

    • @johngarcia5396
      @johngarcia5396 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't even make Saturn's anymore so may be a challenge finding parts etc and why fix a car that has very minimal value without damage or even worse with damage!

    I would love to see the look on the guys faces at the Autospa when you show up with that Tracer. 😂

  • @TheFloofBoi
    @TheFloofBoi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Probable unpopular opinion, get that Mercury Tracer, it'd be fun to see vids on it on your channel, plus you just do NOT see those anymore and when you do they're usually rotted out beyond repair. This one's solid but in need of care, which gives it SOME redeemability lol
    OBVIOUSLY you'd be buying it for the entertainment value more than to actually make anything from it but still

    My mom had one of those Ford Escorts when I was younger. It was a caramel colored stick shift one, a 94. I love these 90’s cars for nostalgia as well. I only remember hers running hot at one point lol

    I can personally verify the story about the Saturn SLs. I worked for a former Saturn dealership in New Orleans for a few years, and the most common issues were people wanting to replace the SL2 motors with another SL2 motor and never thought to replace the transmissions in them. Randy's story fully checks out on the Saturn

    Randy, I so enjoy your content. Even more now that you are showing and talking about motorcycles too. Shame on the people that put down others for the vehicle they enjoy, which is what makes you a great person to watch on TH-cam. You share and enjoy cars that I may not even look at twice, but you share your stories about them and bring some of these under appreciated cars back to life. Keep it positive and I will keep on watching no matter the type of vehicle.

    Hey Randy. In Ohio if you get you license on a trike you are only permitted to ride a trike. It is a trike endorsement. If you get your motorcycle endorsement on a bike then you can ride a trike or a bike.

    Got my fingers crossed for you on that Saturn Redline! Hope you get it. Would love to see it on your channel. I bet what makes that Ford Focus so special is the money owed on it. That Tracer just needs a trip to LLC and Maco and some work and it could be as good as new!

    You asked for comments on favorite bikes, many may laugh but I had a Suzuki Burgman 650, I thought it drove like a dream. Enough power to cruise the highway all day, always consistent and reliable, it was over 600 lbs, many features that are extras on other bikes are built in. Yes, it's a scooter, which really just means the motor is between your feet instead of your knees. Some don't think its cool enough, so be it. I bought it when gas prices were over $4, got rid of it when cars threatened to run me off the road.

    Cool vid. We had two 1993 Escorts with the 1.9 litre engine. Had the silver one from 93 to 2005, motor was good still but body rotted out. Then found a mint 1993 Sunrise Red one with about 25000 miles and kept that until 2013. Cool bikes too! 😎👍🇨🇦

  • @MrClutch440T4

    Randy, the Focus has a "Little Buddy" heater on the dash...we used to use these for cold box development work. We would leave the heater on while the vehicle is being cold soaked so the windshield won't frost over when you drive the car out of the cold box into much warmer air. Maybe the defroster mix door is broken?

    23:50 You know, THIS is part of what makes your channel AWESOME… You gave us that back-story that for me I think is the cherry on top that would make this car GREAT content for the channel.
    It's your story along with your heart and personality - it's the whole package, dude. I'd say if you can get it for 500 bucks or less, go for it. The channel content alone could be worth it.
    Just a side thought (not that you would want to go down this route) but you could also cut the roof and turn it into one of your fun "go-cart" projects before scrapping it... OR, Indeed, get a cat for it, run it through Macco, etc. and send it down the road for a student who needs an economical car for 1200 bucks or whatever :-) Good channel content, regardless.

    Trikes are what you ride when you get old and two wheels aren't comfortable any more and you don't want to stop riding. Some states and provinces brand your motorcycle license as only for trikes/three wheels if that is what you got your license on. This includes side car equipped motorcycles.

  • @tonys623

    In the 90's used to work at a bar and grill that delivered food. We had a couple of those Mercury Tracers for delivery vehicles. The engines in those were little rippers. We used to drive those things like we were running from the police.

    I'm like you, Randy, I like Miata's,
    To have someone pull up at a red light, and trash talk me, that's not cool, not cool at all.
    It's the same way with the gentleman on the Harley, he was enjoying his day, and some douche pulls up, and starts trash talking him.
    I wish more people would respect what people drive, or ride.
    I mean, they're enjoying their day, and somoone has to ruin it for them, make them feel bad.
    How would they like it, if someone came up to him, and started trash talking him for riding one of those sport bikes?
    You get the idea, people are rude sometimes.
    Thanks for the video, Randy.
