"Its open world!" You know what else was open world, and went through the exact same pre-release cycle? Starfield. Itd be nice to be surprised by Outlaws, just like it would have been nice to be surprised by Starfield. But ultimately the two are just as dated as eachother. I watched it and Kathleen Kennedy basically said you kept complaining about it therefore I had to keep doing it more, which makes no sense because the point of criticism is to stop doing what you’re being criticized for, so it’s like if I cook a meal for someone and you say there’s too much cheese and I keep putting more in it to spite you clearly someone can’t take criticism and being fed up and complaining about a serious issue isn’t a problem ignoring it and pretending it doesn’t lower the quality of games is. Like a lot of adult gamers, I've had decades of experience seeing games advertised. The past 10 years have had a pretty consistent pattern of what is crap and what will be good. This Star Wars game is crap.
Yes! Thank you! I was excited about Star Wars Outlaws. I loved The Division and The Division 2. The Snowdrop engine is great. Massive is a good development studio, and I think the Division is Ubisoft's best franchise. So they are making a Star Wars game with this heritage? Bring it on, I thought. It could be great. Until I look at the gameplay and there's really nothing of the Division in there. I can't see progression, loot, builds, incentives to play and explore and replay gun fights in the open world to find things or level up. They took all of that out of Star Wars Outlaws and you have a blaster. You can pick up the occasional weapon here or there in a mission to use it, but then you toss it. I'm really struggling to find engagement in the gameplay. If done really, really well, it might be fun once. It shows a lot of linearity, even in its open world.

Oh you missed the biggest kick to this game’s sac. Black Myth: Wukong comes out a week before Outlaws. A game that is far superior than Outlaws is literally every category. Oh and even with all of the preorder goodies it’s half the price. Will BMW have its flaws, absolutely but if I run all of the gameplay footage of both games side by side. It is instantly clear which game just looks more enjoyable. Oh and bonus, BMW isn’t going to be shoving some agenda down your throat throughout your entire playthrough. Oh and bonus bonus, Outlaws main story is 20-30 hours long with no NG+ or any incentive to replay a game you just spend upwards of $130 for. Whereas BMW’s main story is 40+ hours and has NG+ when it releases, AND has already been optimized to run 4k at 60FPS (supposedly). Ehhhhhh BMW is going to eat Outlaws. due to their release dates both will be compared to each other especially their price.
I rhink the way to fix the diffulty is similar to hoe fromsofrware have been doing with their souls games. Im not saying make the enemies fight like a souls-like/souls boss. But give them more sophisticated movements and make them smarter. Dont give them higher health/damage & faster reaction time because thats just unfair and not the right way to make the game difficult. In my opinion.
