Hey guys! I'm the guitar player in the video, and actually the one who made this happen. This is one of my sweetest memories. It was literally my last day going to the only school I ever went to, 13 years in all. The school board liked me very much, and they knew I was into music so they went along with the idea of a farewell performance during the morning break (this was around 9:30am lol). The rest of the guys were my best friends at the time but they went to different schools and skipped that day haha It's amazing to read all the comments here. Really touching, specially given the fact that this is from a tiny little town in southern Brazil called Chapecó. We all used to dream with TFOT, TMV and Protest the Hero, those guys were our distant idols, and it's crazy that we got to be one of the best appreciated covers of this great song. Unbelievable, really! Thank you so much for all the sweet remarks on our passionate teenage performance. We all went different ways since, the drummer Kaio Barp is a tattoo artist in Chapecó. Rafael Panegalli the singer is in the band Disaster Cities, and is also a tattoo artist in São Paulo. I lost touch with Arthur Spillman, the bass player. As for me, I have a band for which I write some music. It's called Orquestra Manancial da Alvorada. Lots of prog rock influences, with a tropical flavor. Be sure to check it out! Professionally, I'm now a painter. If you're curious about that, search instagram for @julianbrzozowski ;) Thanks so much for keeping up with this! It's awesome to return to this video and feel the energy of those powerful years. May we all keep some of that fire burning in our hearts!
Yeahhh this wasn't exactly true. We got together specifically for this gig and then went our separate ways. Souldelirio was briefly one of the singer's bands. He now sings in Disaster Cities. I'm the guitar player in the video, I now write and perform with Orquestra Manancial da Alvorada. Just posted a comment on a brief story of this day!
Muito! Era literalmente o último dia do terceirão. Desse dia em diante cada um foi pro seu caminho. Incrível ter esse vídeo aqui pra lembrar dessa época. Nostalgia forte!
This was in a school here in Brazil 12 years ago, unfortunately nowadays they don't allow rock or metal in schools, nowadays everybody is stupid and only listens to trap and funk, I remember in 2014 when I was 11 and I was in the school radio club, and sometimes I could choose which songs could be played, and I put a very heavy metalcore and everybody was scared, the song I put was For Today - Fearless.
