In the early '70s, New York Rep. Elizabeth Holtzman received a confidential tip that American immigration authorities knew of dozens of former Nazis - some implicated in serious war crimes - who were living in the U.S.
Holtzman looked into it and discovered that it was true, and that the formerly named Immigration and Naturalization Service wasn't doing much about it.
It's a lawyer answer. They can't invoke the 5th amendment, so instead of lying under oath, their only legal recourse is to stay they don't remember. Utterly ridiculous.

I don't think he could put up with all the BS of a government position; he's more effective pointing out all our ridiculous behaviors.
Also, he's ineligible to run. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, you need to be a natural born citizen to run for President. Trevor is also not a U.S. citizen. He can however run as high as governor if he becomes a citizen, I believe.

Consider malls, casinos and amusement parks that prohibit political activity. These semi-public spaces get tax breaks and easements for the jobs and economic activity they bring. Why did Disney have sovereignty over its and adjacent property as well as environmental regulations relaxation?
