Perfect - this is what I was looking to do. Unfortunately I work at the time you broadcast as I am 6 hours ahead of you. I would have asked how people put their arms out side the square as if it was a window?
Rob, another excellent video. Would you share how do you set up yourself at the lower right corner of the screen narrating what you are doing? It's like PiP, but better.
I don't do it live... I record two separate videos - one of me from my camera, and one is a screen recording that I capture using OBS. I then sync both videos and the audio track all together, one on each track in Camtasia (so 3 tracks). The video of me from the camera goes on top. I then add the Circle Mask to my video, crop it and scale it down, then love it into the lower corner. The screen recording is below that so you'll see it through. I hope that helps! :-)
Picture in picture can be used for any type of video really. It tends to be used more for how to videos (in my experience), but not always. If you're telling a story and want your face shown throughout the video, that's totally fine... you can do that with picture in picture :-)
Is it possible to "remove background" and put a dynamic or colored background behind yourself within the circle? In other words, get rid of the webcam background and replace with a solid color or a color with your logo.....or a dynamic background etc?
Yes… just use the “Background Remover” tool in Visual Effects to remove the background… then you can put yourself above anything you want… a still image (logo), a solid colour, gradient colour or another video :)
Can you please do a video on this? I’m slightly lost. I think it would be beneficial for alot of folks that want to record themselves but not just do background removal only.
You are an amazing teacher. Thank you.
Thank you so much :-) Cheers!

Doing something like that involves a little bit of trickery, and time! It can be done but there are many steps to it :-)

Sir، Mask features in camtasia 23
Fun stuff!
Do you think Camtasia will ever implement object tracking
That would be great if they did! I don't know if they will... but I'm hopeful ;)
Is picture in a picture only used for "how to" videos? What is another example of being able to use pic in a pic?

Nice that's I want... Thanks

Yes but can this be done within a shape, such as a circle?
@valoanadvisor Yes… after you’ve removed the background and added a new background, you can then apply a circle mask (or any shape).
