That their land would be returned to them and them to their land, with patience and prayers.

The Arabs have rejected a state at least 6 times. Consider the following: One: At the recommendation of the Peel Commission, the British, who controlled Palestine at the time, agreed to create a two-state solution, offering the Palestinian Arabs 80 per cent of the disputed territory. The Palestinian Jews said yes, the Arabs said no. Two: On Nov. 7, 1947, the United Nations voted to create two states. The Palestinian Jews (who changed their name to Israelis) said yes, the Palestinian Arabs said no. Three: After the Six Day War In 1967, Israel wanted to return the captured lands to Egypt and Jordan or to the Palestinian Arabs. The Arab league met in Sudan and said: “No peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel.” In other words, the Arabs said no. Four: In 2000, then-Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak offered all of Gaza and 94 per cent of the West Bank with East Jerusalem as its capital to Yasser Arafat. Arafat said no. Five: In 2008, the prime minister of Israel, Ehud Olmert, added additional land to the previous offer of 2000. Mahmoud Abbas said no. History shows that each time Israel has agreed to offering land for peace, the Palestinian Arabs have rejected the offers. Six: The one time, in 2005, when Israel unilaterally left Gaza to the Palestinian Arabs. The terrorists took control and turned it into a base from which thousands of rockets have been fired into Israel up to, and including, the present day. Trading land for peace didn’t work. The Arabs want the eradication of Jews more than they want a state If the Palestinians truly care about their children and, here are some tips for them: 1. Do not elect a terrorist organization to rule over you. 2. Do not educate your children from the age of zero to hate Jews and to aspire to murder them as the sole purpose of their lives. Invest in your children's education instead, maybe in a few decades their lives could improve as a result. 3. Cherish life instead of death and martyrdom. 4. Hold your leaders accountable and protest when they operate against your wellbeing, use you or manipulate you. Revolt against them if they treat you badly. 5. Admit the historical fact that the Arabs lost the war they started in 1948. Deal with it. Own your loss, there is no shame in it. Hold yourself accountable and leverage it as a growth opportunity instead of calling it “Nakhba” and blaming others for the consequences of your leaders' actions. 6. Recognize Israel’s right to exist and accept the fact that Israel is a sovereign state and legitimate under international law. Understand that the Jews are here to stay and will never again leave this region, no matter how hard you try. 7. Focus on rebuilding yourself as a nation instead of spending your time and energy trying to annihilate your neighbors. Focus on the land that you do have and on how to self develop and thrive. 8. Stop trying to constantly frame Israel and blame it for false crimes using Qatar funded media outlets and other means of propaganda. 9. Stop institutionalizing and legislating salary payments of hundreds of millions of dollars annually to imprisoned terrorists and the families of terrorists who died while carrying out terror attacks against Israel. 10. Stop accepting military aid, training, weapons and financial aid from Iran, the world's worst state sponsor of terrorism. They do not truly care about you and only use you as pawns. 11. Release the hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, including a one-year old infant and his mother who have been held hostages to this very day. 12. Lay down your arms and stop choosing violence as the only solution for your problems. Look where it got you to in the last 75 years. 13. Understand that actions speak a whole lot louder than meaningless and empty words. The entire world is watching you. 14. Take a hard look at yourself and your actions before blaming Israel for yet another injustice. 15. Now take a hard look at Israel and see how, just by following these tips, it became the most thriving and successful democracy in the region. 16. Embrace peace.

Anyone would at least some knowledge about the history would wipe the floor with Pappe here. I mean it's basic knowledge that Egypt created the Gaza strip. The Gaza strip was created because of the 1948-1949 war and is the part of former Palestine where the Egyptian army had dug in before the armistices were signed, and was subsequently occupied by Egypt. Then Egypt and the UN dumped all the refugees who had fled south there.
True evil from the start ! and this from a man who knows, a man with integrity !
Thank you prof. ❤️💚🖤🤍
It is remarkable how the truth always finds a way to the light. Always !
Free Palestine 🇵🇸 from the brutal occupation of an apartheid
Thank you for explaining and documenting one of the most cruelty and sadistic part in human history. We know that British, Germany, and US complicit in this human crime.
These countries are occupied territories. Hence the name "Knesset on Potomac."
@@Annette-i7k Nonsense. Only wokesters and neo-Marxists subscribe to the preposterous notion that the planet is a game of musical chairs and that humans need a historic relationship to long departed ghosts to have the right to exist on the planet.
Even more absurd is that those that believe this nonsense then attempt to pick and choose who requires a relationship with ghosts when immigrating/emmigrating and those who don't.
A perfect example of the foolishness is that European Jews who immigrate to the Middle East are said to be by wokesters illegitimate, settlers, occupiers, oppressors etc., etc., yet the same wokesters are silent on the Millions of Muslim Arabs that have and continue to emmigrate from the Middle East to Europe.
Thank you for sharing
This is an amazing interview. The truth is always kept hidden but Mr Pappe is now showing it some light.
During the second world war, A German called Heydrich became the Ruler of Czechoslovakia, he was ruthless and brutal and so a plan was hatched in London to send Patriots back to kill him, this was achieved when his open top car slowed down to turn a sharp bend, and a grenade was thrown into his car and shockwaves reverberated back in Berlin, so a revenge was conceived where a village would be erased from the map and every man, women and child would be killed, this bloody event happened and there is German newsreel of the total destruction of the chosen place called Lidice, Gaza today is Lidice and like Lidice
Gaza will rise from the ashes and will be reborn, in fact there are five places today called Lidice in that country,
You speak of Operation Anthropoid and it’s results…except it’s a false equivalency. Israel does not deliberately target civilians; it’s just that under the laws of war, fighters cannot hide amongst civilians and expect to be immune from attack. If it were otherwise, one cedes the advantage to the terrorists. The purpose of the military operations in Gaza is to end the threat as much as humanely practicable.

Ilan Pappé is a great historian!!
This is true. Finally, a man who knows and understands the history and context and eloquently articulates it in a way most can comprehend.
Anyone with at least some basic knowledge about the history, knows this isn't true. Egypt created the Gaza strip. It's the part of former Palestine where the Egyptian army had dug in before the armistice was signed with Israel. Egypt occupied this area which came to be known as the Gaza strip, and then together with the UN dumped all the refugees who had fled south there.
Thank you for teaching history Mr. Pappe🙏
Ilan Pappe is fabulous! I highly recommend his book - The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine. This was the catalyst in my personal journey to the Truth.
The Arabs have rejected a state at least 6 times. Consider the following:
One: At the recommendation of the Peel Commission, the British, who controlled Palestine at the time, agreed to create a two-state solution, offering the Palestinian Arabs 80 per cent of the disputed territory.
The Arabs want the eradication of Jews more than they want a state
If the Palestinians truly care about their children and, here are some tips for them:
The Palestinians wouldn't have that problem if "Euroean" Jews had stayed in Europe.
