A square yellow sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, in the city of Bikini Bottom on the floor of the Pacific Ocean. He works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab. During his time off, SpongeBob has a knack for attracting trouble with his starfish best friend, Patrick. Arrogant octopus Squidward Tentacles, SpongeBob's neighbor, dislikes SpongeBob because of his childlike behavior.

I love the way Sandy was written in the karate episode. Imo, I think she’s of the best characters in the entire show because of how much of a good friend she is to the main characters. She’s like that one fun-loving, extroverted friend you’d love to have in real life.

The ending of the Halloween episode was very scary. And Squidward traveling through time and space is very amazing. Spongebob should have gotten Sandy to look after Gary instead of Squidward. Also Spongebob and Sandy doing karate together is very incredible.
Yeah, I really do love the irony when Sandy tells Squidward that she’s a pet goldfish in a bowl. But only SHE would understand that since she’s from land and Squidward is a sea creature.

What they do with the concept of the episode SB-129 is absolutely hilarious. The episode's funniest part is when Squidward ends up in the middle of nowhere and we see the word “alone” a bunch of time, along with the iconic "FUTURE!" line, and the Surprised SpongeGar face. Definitely a very enjoyable episode with some pretty funny moments.

Ahh SB-129, the one where Squidward practically broke reality for a short time.
"I Was a Teenage Gary" is so cursed. One of the creepiest episodes of a kids show ever. The whole transformation sequence freaked my 5 year old brain out so bad, and "Snail-Bob" legitimately haunts my dreams.
I really wasn't the biggest fan of that episode. Squidward leaving Gary alone without anyone to feed him is very cruel even for him. The whole process of SpongeBob turning into a snail goes on for a long time. It’s also creepy to look at. Also, it doesn't make any sense on how it can turn him into a snail. I’m fine with them going a creepy route, but I would even say this is too creepy for children. Then the same happens with Squidward and we don't even see them get back to normal. Not only does the story not make a lot of sense, but there’s also too much going on. It’s like they had a bunch of different ideas that they couldn’t decide on and they decided to put it all in one episode. Just a real cluttered mess with very little laughs.

When Squidward said “I’ve come for your pickle”, I felt like that was a hidden adult joke.
Almost half of these episodes are rememberable, but at Patrick's line with "Don't tell me" (4:13), to this day still reference it, and it blends in with almost anything 😂

@@anthonyaviles1 I actually see the full reactions on Patreon and from what I’ve seen when Cody has seen the advertisement for Kamp Koral, he didn’t like it, which is the only thing I disagree with him on because Kamp Koral is alright, not the best Spongebob adaptation spin-off, wish they would’ve left Sandy out but, other than that, it is alright but, based on that review from him, it seems like he could cut it off at around Season 8, 9, or 10.

Little side note I want to make for both of you: you guys, especially Nick, kept questioning SpongeBob's strength and the thing you need to keep in mind is that this show has little to no continuity. What this means is that certain moments, facts, and character traits will often change depending on the given episode. For example, SpongeBob and Squidward were both snails by the end of that one episode and it ended without them being cured and/or transforming back. Despite this, they were both back to normal by the next episode with no mention of the previous episode's events.
Hope that makes things a bit more understandable for you both. Keep up the awesome work!!

I Was a Teenage Gary is one of the old episodes where Stephen Hillenberg regreted himself making this for a Halloween-themed episode. Also, SB-129 is the best episodes within this video you're reacting. It's freaking hilarious.

I really liked the episode SB-129. Especially when Squidward froze himself into 2000 years into the future. It actually reminds me of Futurama when Fry did the same thing. I don’t know why, it just reminds me of that show. 😅
Interesting fact is, SpongeTron is Spongebob's descendant and Patron is Patrick's descendant and that primitive Sponge is Spongebob's Ancestor and hanging out with Patrick's Primitive Ancestor!
They are the only Descendants and Ancestors to be appeared in Spongebob SquarePants season 1!😱

I didn't think about how fitting it was that SB129, considered by many to be one of the most unsettling episodes came after the Halloween episodes.

If I remember correctly, SB129 came out late December 1999 right before Y2K, so it was their take on the old scare that the computers will explode or the universe breaks when the year changes to 2000. I also think its funny how many similarities it shares with the pilot of Futurama
