The A-Team remains one of my fave 1980s TV series. Its said that the series was created specifically for Mr. T and he was paid $80,000.00 per episode. Col. John Hannibal Smith, Amy Allen, B. A. Baracus & Gen. Hunt Stockwell (from Season 5). Amy was definitely easier on the eyes than Tawnia Baker. Its arguable if Ms. Culea had 'bad blood' with George Peppard, as Stephen J. Cannell & Frank Lupo created the series and characters. Its said a reason Amy was eventually written off was that Melinda Culea wanted to be in more action oriented roles, given she's a reporter that would've been very difficult to do; a potential story might have been to have Amy kidnapped to draw out The A-Team to a showdown. Another one of Mike Post's memorable TV themes was for The Rockford Files. I still have the first A-Team novel and a the 3 issue Marvel Comics miniseries. A missed chance was to have The A-Team cross paths with G. I. Joe. As for the violence seen, it wasn't different from that seen in other shows like The Six Million Dollar Man; in that series, Lee Majors himself requested that the show be family oriented without any violence as well. Too bad The A-Team never crossed paths with MacGyver as well.

I grew up in Germany during the 80s and can say for a fact, I saw most if not all episodes of The A-Team in Germany. Not sure where this only 26 episodes were allowed comes from.
Three years ago my mother in law and brother in law bought me all the figures complete with tools and weapons and the Playmobil A-Team van for Christmas oh and the A-Team annual too
I pity your choice for “Guest Stars” as nearly every episode had actors of serious recognition ie: John Saxon, Clifton James, William Smith and Sid Haig…and they were just a few from the first five episodes. As for Murdock’s name it’s more than likely Henry Mack Murdock, Hannibal calls Murdock Henry in episode 11 of season 3
Dirk Benedick said A-Team creator made the face man role for him after he seen Dirk play starbuck in Battlestar Galactica but NBC said he wasnt good looking enough. Creator faught NBC to give him the role after the pilot.
In Estonia, we grew up with this show and MacGyver in the 90s and 2000s and we were big fans. There was a lot of influence. I think it even ran on TV in the early 2010s. Just goes to show that newer generations can also grow up with classics. I liked MacGyver more, though. A-Team was a little boring at times.
The show never really did it for me. Might have to do with the explosions. I did enjoy the episodes that i watched when it was on TV. So i knew who Mr T was. My favorites are Automan, Knight Rider and last but not least Airwolf (as i wrote the word i hear the theme music in my head). Magnum was a show i watched from time to time. What looked like and probably is warmer weather and the palm trees (in Swedish palm trees is one word) made a lasting impression. Well, also Higgins of course.
I love the fact that The A-Team is being shown on tv again, on the legend channel. Unfortunately, generation woke got involved, and there's actually a warning before the show starts!!! 🙄🤦♂️
I was aged between 8 and 11 when I originally watched The A-Team... and never have I noticed that the top half of the van was grey!!! WTF!!!... I feel like I've just fallen into a different reality! hahaha .... On a side note, having rewatched in recently, Im pretty sure the van in the Liam Neeson movie is all black?!
@rockywatchesmovies Yes, I agree! Shows like this are better than the crap on TV etc. today! 60s 70s and 80s and some 90s TV and movies over and over is all I watch!
the death fact is incorrect, in one episode a charachter is killed trying to stop poachers, their sister then hires the A team to bring the poachers to justice
My problem with the movie was Face gets the arse because he couldn’t plan a mission and Hannibal gives in and lets him plan the big one and as fans of the show remember Face never planned anything apart from getting the girl.. that small point honestly ruined the movie for me
How cool would a spin off film about the A-team bump into Rambo and we find out they were part of the same squad and they go on a rampage and take out an entire city full of thugs .. this needs to be an AI made movie it would be nuts
I’m sure a character dies in the series 1 episode in Las Vegas. And David McCallum’s character and Face’s father in Series 5. Unless it’s meant that they had to be seen dying like Fulbright.
You actually see the guy falling from his highrise condo, and him floating face down in the pool. That to me counts as an on screen death. (Though he was killed by his henchman, not the team)
@@NemesisRTCW Fulbright wasn’t killed by the team, either. Wasn’t there also a death in the episode with Boy George? A sheriff was seen with blood on his head?
I have many happy memories of The A Team. When I saw the movie, I couldn't help shedding a tear when they killed the van. Why did you kill the van? WHY ? 😭😭😭😭😭

Mr. T had to give up the gold chains because all of that weight collapsed a disc in his neck leading to cervical fusion.
The A-Team van was in Twice''s Bulldozer K-Pop music video
I had the toy van; until my older brother convinced me to destroy it 'for a bit of fun.'
I watched MR T refute the claim that him and Peppard didn't get along.
Where did he get his info???
Dirk Benedick said A-Team creator made the face man role for him after he seen Dirk play starbuck in Battlestar Galactica but NBC said he wasnt good looking enough. Creator faught NBC to give him the role after the pilot.
I new all of that. And I might add you got 1 of your facts wrong 🙄. Either way thanks for sharing!
I’ve got the blue uk novel somewhere
In Estonia, we grew up with this show and MacGyver in the 90s and 2000s and we were big fans. There was a lot of influence. I think it even ran on TV in the early 2010s. Just goes to show that newer generations can also grow up with classics. I liked MacGyver more, though. A-Team was a little boring at times.
Steven j carnell has B'A's Gold on display at his house 😎
Whistle the intro once and enjoy your brain for the rest of the day.
Better than anything trailer swift has done.
Dammit! There goes my day. Thanks for that.
At work in the van when the driver would go round a corner a little fast passenger would always sing ,Der da da Der ,
H.M Murdock stands for Howlin Mad Murdock
Because they couldn't kill, it was like a live action Saturday morin cartoon
The Rabbit Who Ate Las Vegas. Gianni Christian would disagree with the no death in a episode.
its no mystery. Its Matt Murdock. the HM stands for Howling Matt.
PER PARD!!!
Big w need to reissued the figurines and kmart would be awsome
I love the fact that The A-Team is being shown on tv again, on the legend channel. Unfortunately, generation woke got involved, and there's actually a warning before the show starts!!! 🙄🤦♂️
I was aged between 8 and 11 when I originally watched The A-Team... and never have I noticed that the top half of the van was grey!!! WTF!!!... I feel like I've just fallen into a different reality! hahaha .... On a side note, having rewatched in recently, Im pretty sure the van in the Liam Neeson movie is all black?!
Loved the A-Team still do! Watch it all the time! But it isn't graphic enough for me! Hannibal and Murdock are my favorites!
It was my favourite as a kid. I watched the 1st season last week, still a great show.
@rockywatchesmovies Yes, I agree! Shows like this are better than the crap on TV etc. today! 60s 70s and 80s and some 90s TV and movies over and over is all I watch!
Best ever one with Magnum P.I.
the death fact is incorrect, in one episode a charachter is killed trying to stop poachers, their sister then hires the A team to bring the poachers to justice
is that "on-screen"? the quote was no "on-screen deaths, except for ..."?
Mr. T is a total legit dude. He is a national treasure
So, the devil walks into a bar 😅
My problem with the movie was Face gets the arse because he couldn’t plan a mission and Hannibal gives in and lets him plan the big one and as fans of the show remember Face never planned anything apart from getting the girl.. that small point honestly ruined the movie for me
How cool would a spin off film about the A-team bump into Rambo and we find out they were part of the same squad and they go on a rampage and take out an entire city full of thugs .. this needs to be an AI made movie it would be nuts
I had the HotWheels toy of the van, and yes, it was all black. Also, the red stripe came off very easily.
Howling mad murdoch which is henry michael murdoch
I’ve got the ammo crate
Wow... I didn't think it could be possible for me to care any less about the A-Team. Thanks for proving me wrong. 🤣
My pleasure, I aim to please 😉
I’m sure a character dies in the series 1 episode in Las Vegas. And David McCallum’s character and Face’s father in Series 5. Unless it’s meant that they had to be seen dying like Fulbright.
You actually see the guy falling from his highrise condo, and him floating face down in the pool.
That to me counts as an on screen death. (Though he was killed by his henchman, not the team)
@@NemesisRTCW Fulbright wasn’t killed by the team, either. Wasn’t there also a death in the episode with Boy George? A sheriff was seen with blood on his head?
@@mrsunshine6936
Yup, the real sheriff was killed by the fake one and his accomplices who ran the bar.
What about the game warden in Africa
You're right, but his death was deliberately off screen. 'Bull' Fulbright hammed up his great death scene on screen, and it's great.
HM IS Howling Mad Murdock
I have many happy memories of The A Team. When I saw the movie, I couldn't help shedding a tear when they killed the van. Why did you kill the van? WHY ? 😭😭😭😭😭
HM = Howlin’ Mad
