Naminan / Namu Namu Fruit in Sri Lanka

A tasty sweet fruit known as naminan in Sri Lanka. It is called as Namu Namu in Indonesia. Also reffered to as Cynometra cauliflora.

Outer part can be consumed. Consist of a large seed ( similer to fruits like Avocado and Mangoes ). It has a unique taste. The green once tastes bit sour but once fully ripen ,( will turn to yellow) that sour taste is less.

It is bit rare but can be found in countries like Sri Lanka.. Try small markets around major cities..
