Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with friendly people. I love travelling to Sri Lanka - beautiful beaches and flavorful food. Of course woman are beautiful too.
Although I've never visited Sri Lanka, it kind of has a special place in my heart. My late father, who was a radio specialist in the British Royal Navy, was on his aircraft carrier, HMS "Searcher", on his way to Japan in 1945 as part of a huge Allied invasion fleet. On the way, the atom bombs fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the war was over. The new orders were to visit various places in the Far East, collect various Aussies, New Zealanders, Brits, Canadians, Americans, Indians etc, who had been prisoners-of-war of the Japanese, and assist in getting them home and administering medical aid to those suffering from malnutrition and mistreatment. Well, his voyage consisted of visits to Rangoon/Yangon in Burma/Myanmar, Madras/Chennai in India and Trincomalee in Ceylon/Sri Lanka. He loved the trip, and taught me respect for other nations and their traditions, religions...and food. He'd always speak with longing about "Trinco" and its friendly people and delicious, spicy food. I'm Sri Lankan, during that period Royal Navy radio station in Ceylon placed in my city.. I know A Royal soldier in my Facebook who worked world war period in Ceylon during 1945 ..He is from Australia.

Awais, did u notice in the last SL Tamil Muslim eatery they're eating brain dish + Payal & but this one also has so many currys kurmas & briyanis but also the payal which I understand is a Pakistani dish, bcause I only seen it in Pak restaurants in UK & CDA where they sell Nan, haleem, kurmas, khadi etc,aren't they mainly Pakistani dishes, right!
I'm Indonesian and get to know srilankan food when I was working in Dubai .me and my husband had lunch at Chef Lanka located in Karama we were surprised as how it's so close the similarity with Indonesian food and I don't have hard time adjusting with the taste bud.i love srilankan food
Street Food of Sri Lanka's city of Colombo drives any one crazy , as we are witnessing in this video , a fish market heaps of fish of various varieties and sizes are seen, driving people to buy and enjoy it at once. Fish curry and other spicy items available in plenty attracts any one and the wonderful omlette and other vegetarian preparations appeared to be extremely sumptuous , which is evident from the manner in which it is being taken by foreign tourist. The busy vegetable and fruit market, and the fruit juice available there makes one to visit the place time and again. There are quite number of different dish easily available and one has to try each and every item and enjoy fully the holidays with one's family and friends. It is worth to visit Sri lanka.

Without complaining about the tropical climate, scams and ill disciplined locals (we have seen this enough) you guys have done a wonderful video which includes stuff we locals enjoy. I think half of the credit should go to your buddy who was taking you around in the city because it seems he already knows the best in the town .
