I got pretty lucky a while back and found a 360 Elite at a thrift store with all the cables and one controller for only $50. Works like new and still one of the best gaming purchases I’ve ever made over a year later.
A week ago i found a PS2 fat and a 360 at a local thrift shop. I already had a 360 and a ps2 slim, but they were sold for 25€ total, I could not leave them there. Complete with controller, cables and an hdd, working perfectly. I guess it was a nice deal.
I found a wii with everything except games so i got it for 15$ at goodwill, its a great console but i dont really like the idea of standing up, still im having fun with it and the WII definitely holds ups
@@Chuked Nice, the wii was so cool. If you place the sensor bar under the TV you can easily play sitting on the sofa. You can also adjust the sensitivity in the settings menu. I play standing only with specific games

@@chriswright8074 i know that, as this is the first motherboard (xenon) its unreliable, so i have it well ventilated and when it gets noisy i let it rest i know that they are prone to failure but i dont really feel all that good about opening my systems, however ive been trying to keep it clean as removing dust helps it aswell
This is a decent to good deal for a 360 console, the disc drive on these are loud! My friend had one and we could hear the drive and fan noise and the tv was on a high volume! Nice video
7:35 You have UNO!!! Also I have the same model. It Red Ringed on me once, but I unplugged all the cables and power supply for a few hours, and it was back to normal. At least for me. User’s experience may vary.
Picked one up, also a version of the old design, but with HDMI for $20.00 on Craigslist. Disc tray was sticking, but as I suspected that was an easy fix with a q-tip and some alcohol. Otherwise works fine, came with a 125gb hard drive. Snapped up a bunch of old games for a good price over the last month or so. Even the dupes of games I own on newer hardware were mostly pretty good. Tomb Raider 2016 played and looked fine (obviously not quite as pretty as on the PS4, but good enough to play), only one that really disappointing me was Shadow of Mordor (terrible port, looked like it constantly dropped below 30 fps, texture pop-in, including on orc models while I was fighting them.)
I just picked up 4 xbox360, 5 controllers, al power supply for each unit and 2 hard drives and 2 kinnects for $80 online form a store never would have thought sold online. 🤐
I remember buying that model back in the day, never gave me problems. I got the the Wi-Fi adapter that plugged into the back which was like 100 bucks at the time which was insane. Ended up selling it when I got my slim which I have to this day and still play on.
For people who say it has the RROD on his console right now: Its only when you reach a certain extent of gameplay time on the Xbox 360 Fat that it starts to fail and has overheating issues. You always want to make sure you limit your time on these old consoles, as the thermal paste dries easily. Limiting yourself on these old consoles will prevent the thermal paste from drying.
If you see any part of the screen flashing, it’s a sign that an red ring of death is on the horizon. One of the reasons, why red ring of death occurred, was due to the cooling on 360 being poor causing the graphics chip to fail. So that loud xbox is a sign that might happen, in a couple years.
The biggest problem with the old consoles is getting a controller that's in a good shape (I had two 360 controllers and both of them had problems with the LS button, one of them didn't work at all).
I done the same thing,I am getting a working PlayStation 3 and now hopefully around Friday,is same model. I hope it’s work as well. I bought it so I can find out if it works or not and work on it and if does work I’ll clean it,mostly be in my room and the PlayStation will be the family console only in the living room.
My Cousin got the Original White Xbox 360 for his 8th Birthday in August 17th 2008 and it Lasted for about 4 Years and it went out in late 2012 because it was so Old and he got the Xbox 360 Slim as a Replacement before Christmas 2012
Nice ! I have the OG 60GB XBOX360. Mint condition with maybe 80hours of gameplay on it. Im a PlayStation man so thats why my 360 is pretty much like new.
You did a good deal. I suggest to change the thermal paste of GPU/CPU as soon as possible and the dissipators if they are not the ones after the RROD fix by Microsoft. The 360 is still a great console.
And people talk about PS4 Soundung like a Jet Engine they clearly have never had the OG Xbox 360! My PS4 Pro is still Quiet mainly because I take care of it. I’m thinking people who says that doesn’t 😂
I remember when I was playing forza motorsport 3 and it died with the red ring of death that game pushed it to the limits it had xbox one X Graphics was really good for it's time

Xbox 360 still is much better than PS3. But Microsoft really killed it with the new Xbox series X. Good for retro stuff and really impressed with the machine in general.
Xbox 360 is where my gaming journey ends. I have enough games to see me through to death. I don't see a reason to upgrade. If I get a 4k TV then maybe I'll get a series X one day but I'll always have my 360s
I found a xenon Xbox 360 with 10 games and 2 controllers for 50 euros, but for the same price I found a jasper with 8 games and 2 controllers with a Wi-Fi adapter for the same price. Which do you guys consider is more worth it?

Out of all the 360 dashboards over the years that dashboard the one you’re using was my favorite. Brings back so many amazing memories.

Yeah this one and the First one was very very nostalgic. Definitely brings back memories. Badly for me. I miss them so much

It happened to me too, I saw a PS3 selling for $30. And I'm surprised it is working with a free mysterious CD game inside.
Kinda a lot for a Xbox 360. I got a 360 s for 10
I got my Xbox 360 elite for 30$ and it has the NXE dashboard

With consoles that are on an older dashboard, you also have to be careful what games you put in it, as the update is on the game discs
