Some people watch sports and admire the athlete’s abilities….this is what I admire instead. So thorough and tales from engine rebuilds past demonstrate true knowledge through experience. Thank you for your videos.
I have done a lot of 944 engines back in the 90's and while working for Porsche. The only issue is the cost of repair to vehicle value makes it tough to warrant spending a lot of money on job. Kurt
I understand and its great for some one doing there own work. Just from a business stand point for us it does not pencil out and it makes it really hard to sell the job. I still think they are great cars, just that they never got to the popularity of the 911 series. Same goes for the 928 series. Great cars but just not that popular with the masses. Thanks again for your support. Kurt
As always, enjoy your amazing videos. Have missed a few. Life has kept me busy. Where did you get that little book with the clearance specifications? I am about to start building the engine from my '82 911 SC and that would be an amazing source to have.
Your videos are incredible. Thank you for keeping this level of expertise alive. The case bores on my 3.2 are measuring ~65.050mm…out of spec. Do you have a recommendation for a shop to machine the case halves and line bore? I’m happy to ship as I don’t think there’s anything near me in Denver.
We send our cases to Ollies Machine in Lake Havasu, AZ. He has been doing it for a very long time and we have been using the same shop now for over 25 years. The only down-side is it will take about 6 months to complete Kurt
Beautiful to watch. It’s an artistry. Really appreciate your expertise. I wish I can just ship my 911 to you.
you can ship your car to me if you like.

Amazing attention to detail! Too bad you don't do any work on 944 engines😢

@ understand! In my case, it's more a case of love and not any resale value calculation

It is a factory Porsche toolbox manual. They may or may not still be available from your Porsche dealer.

Always top quality, thorough work 👍
Thanks.
The difference between 2.619 mm and 2.620 mm is one micron.
Yep you are correct.
Kurt
So meticulous!

Uh, a 4 speed. Love the engine aromas in my dash heat ducts
Oil leaks maybe?
