Chabrier's Dix pièces pittoresques have been part of my repertoire for the last thirty years and I must say that this young pianist does indeed play the Scherzo-Valse with a lot of panache. However, I would be reluctant in calling those unorthodox pauses ''hesitations'' (except perhaps at 2:39) as she was clearly 'taught' to phrase this way. As to the middle section, there is clearly no problem in separating it out from the A section - that is actually what the score calls for! (well, if it's good enough for Aldo Ciccolini, I think it's safe to say that's it's good enough for the rest of us...) ''Too many details'' - nah, not really...:-) Bravissima, Mrs. Stoll - looking forward to hearing you live in concert in the next few years!

Thank you for watching my performance.The chair is called "Thomson Chair".It is said that it is more suitable for children to play the piano than common chair because the seat is hard and it prevents from getting wobbly while those who are light like children play the piano. Of course some adults like using this chair, but I think many Japanese children change their chair from this to ordinary one as they grow up. Honestly, I don't know about that in detail. Sorry. (I'm embarrassed my poor English...I hope I will make myself understood in English.) YUKA
