I love the " We should paint it blue"!!!! I have the same model and have had great success with this tumbler. Thank you for sharing your findings. Very well done with documentary of weight lose.
I love my model B. I cut piece of 1” styrofoam and put it inside the bottom of the frame. It really cuts down on the noise and vibration. I never use ceramics in the first stage of tumbling, they just wear away to fast and they’re not all that cheap. I’d use smaller stones or even some pea gravel. My motor gets really warm and apparently yours does too as I noticed you had a fan on it at one point. I usually burnish between stages 3 and 4. If you let it run for 12 to 24 hours they will have a semi shine at the end. A very nice video !!!
Your rock could be Chalcedony, which is a type of Quartz and just a little harder on the Mohs scale. If it has " water lines " then it's considered an agate. It's a silicate and quite a beautiful rock . I just love the color!!!
@Arian Kolton, excuse me boys but why are you on my thread taking about smack about hacking your girlfriend’s Instagram account, when this is a rock tumbling video? How and why did you end up on my comment thread?
Great video 👍 have you checked it for florescent activity? Some common opal, agates, and trace uranium content (not enough to cause concern) will floresce. You just never know what rock will glow. Cool way to get kids interested too.
Great video. I'm glad that you left some character in the rock. I see so many people tumble rocks too long in stage 1 and 2, and don't get me wrong, they are pretty at the end, but they lack some of that raw character that they started with.
It looks like it might be an aegat .I would be interested in what a cross cut section would look like . There might even be a void with crystal inside.
I think if you had added some smaller rocks it would have polished stages 1 and 2 it would have been a little quicker but a very nice rock and a good job. Havagudun Bud.
Awesome and thank you for the tip for making this into 2 tumblers! I have the model B, yeah!! What would happen if you decided to cut this rock into smaller slices, or just cut it open to see what was inside? I would think you would have to tumble again? But then what would happen to the slice of rock?
What's the suggested max weight that you can put inside the container with rocks water and media or poly plastic pellets including the container weight in order to temple?
If you run it for a week, even put in the basement, I wonder what the noise is like if you live upstairs. Also a week, how much electricity? This is just the first step. Quite something.
Well you’d be correct! If you see the beginning of the video you can see small bubble shaped bumps on the rock, I personally call it “agate bubbles” but this was a neat Nordic Gem to see tumble!
@@purpleberrygems3114 I've seen a few Agates from Lake Superior, not as large of course but similar form. I'm more of a crystal and native silver enthusiast myself. Thanks for the reply!!
"MJR Tumbler" has the BEST tumblers - none of that crappy bushings that wear out and are garbage - but they use BEARINGS. Don't get a Thumbler honestly.

Exactly
Wow! I have quite a few big rocks and now I know what I need to do.
It's an agate! Beautiful! 💕
I just bought the 12lb version. Thank You for putting out your video and inspiring me!
Glad you did a down to earth ( no pun intended) video, basics for this one and how it all came out
I didn't know Jesse Ventura tumbled rocks! Thanks Governor
Lol
Great video!
That came out very nicely! I would make a wood stand and put a led light inside so it would shine up into the rock for display!
That is Chalcedony with limonite staining. We find tons of it on the shores of lake Michigan.
I’ve been thinking about getting this tumbler, you have helped me makeup my mind! Thanks! Great video!
Cool. Glad it helped and they are good
Awesome. I like the results of the rock, the tumbler, and the steps. Take care.
Thanks man
Awesome! Hope you do another large rock video someday!
pretty cool results
“We should paint it blue “. 😹😹😹

I love it. Mondo rock tumbling.

I thought the same!
I think if you had added some smaller rocks it would have polished stages 1 and 2 it would have been a little quicker but a very nice rock and a good job. Havagudun Bud.
Like some others have said, your rock is probably some type of agate.
That is so pretty.
Thanks 😊 your avatar is hilarious. I have a black long haired Chihuahua so yeah. 😂
Sounds like the Macho man informing us !! Seriously thanks for the info I was looking to get a larger tumbler.
keep tumbling brudder

Yeah the extra shafts basically doubles the tumbler's ability . I might slice the rock actually to see what is inside
Very cool!
I was wanting to see if you could do a large rock thanks
Its look like Jade stone, very nice
thanks
Its a big ol chunk of petrified palm
You have more patience than i.

that big boy came out sweet , want to try a big rock in my 12 lb. tumbler and see how it comes out , subscribed you

Thanks for sharing
Could that be a piece of jade?
Ahh never mind I should have waited till the vid was over lol.
Good job on the rock, I'm no expert but I think it's a form of Agate.
