In all the years of watching your channel Andy that’s the first time I’ve heard your dad laugh. He didn’t disappoint however. He quickly followed that up with the notion of putting a wrench in your face. Gotta love the boss man. 😂
Glad to see your dad taking a more active role in your videos. You'll be surprised at how well he will be received by your viewers. He's younger but closer to my age and I "get" how he thinks!
It’ll soon be time for Andy to feel like he’s herding cats trying the keep up with Marty. One of my favorite harvest time events. 😂I’ve been watching farmers for years, by far the funniest clip I’ve ever seen was the map view & your commentary of Marty combining straight into the neighbor’s field.
Just a nickels worth of free advice. You need a different header trailer that will accommodate your corn head with the stock stompers attached. Not all header trailers will work, therefore there is a reason why alot of us out here do not run stompers unless the farm setup allows for having them installed.
It’s gonna be fun to see how the X9 does. You’re using the same head, but it’s a bigger machine right? So it should be faster. Marty gets to play with all the new toys. That’s the perks of being the boss!
Magna flux suspected crack then you will know for sure! You will need to remove the paint in that area and then when you’re done checking or perhaps welding the area again then you can repaint it
Some of the bigger farmers started here. Ivers started obviously one of my church members I’m guessing about the same size as Ivers may be a little bit bigger has Started. Hope you found your chicken he didn’t get lost in your big words! Lol
With the trailer issue on the corn head, could you pick the head up then pull the trailer out from underneath? I’ll admit to not knowing anything about corn heads so I could be wrong.
You could, but that would only solve one direction of the problem. You'd still have to get it back on, and those trailers are hard to perfectly back up.
@@aTrippyFarmer just curious, I used to work for a construction company that had what we called "Business band radios" and they were license/ subscription but.... NO other verbal traffic and the range WOW. I personally remember 30+ miles off those. I know that aint crap for ham or other radios but for me that was a personal best :)
So instead of a new combine. Again. That 780 is 2 years old. I'd of kept it. Bought a folding header. X9 are junk over priced unit anyway. You should see the amount of trades. X9 on lots everywhere. Not deere lots lmfao
Calling them junk is making them look like a silver spoon I trade both of mine off this spring after 1 harvest was never so happy to lose sight of the tail lights!
X9s may be weak in small grains country, but they dominate the corn belt. They are monsters in corn and soybeans. You are right that they could be problematic... let's hope that isn't the case.
@aTrippyFarmer hope yours turns out better than mine did we had to pull the 8820 out last fall to finish beans and corn. Neither x9 finished the season don't worry you will get a combine to use if sloans has one running or if they got a truck driver to haul it but might take 10 days or longer. Sad thing is one of the x9 got less hours put on it than the 8820 last year think it had 90 separator hours on it when it was traded

I was about to say the same thing! I actually couldn't believe it when I heard it.
Dad does many things that you never see. It's just a matter of catching him in action!

Dad has no problem being in the videos. I just have to catch him on the move. He is like a blur!
That bloody trailer with a folding head. Cracks me up.
One of a kind .
That's the type of trailer that people use for corn heads.
Good to see your Daddy moving around using his shoulder... hope he is healing well
He would work even if in pain. I think it's healed well, but I can't speak for him.
Real channel. No big heated shop.
Just broke! 🤣
Good video. Looking forward to the x9. Greetings from Dundalk, Ireland
Thanks 👍
Can't wait for harvest!
Me either!
Trippy, you have the patience of Jobe when working with Marty and you're also very good at understanding Marty speak.
A lifetime of experience!
We love the Midland radios too! Great video Andy
Another gem Andy, ready to see y’all run the new toy when it arrives 👌🏻take care 🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
Good to hear your dad talking more.

Appreciate that. This was the second trailer that we bought. The first one didn't work either.
We have trouble with our yetter devastators loading and unloading on yetter head trailer also. The folding corn head would be great
I've heard good things about the devastators other than them being heavy as heck!

Good video, but a couple of times I threw stuff at my TV trying to knock the "fly" off at the top left lol
Sorry!
Great video Andy, thanks for sharing, are you guys in the fields yet as of today, not sure when you recorded this footage that's why I ask
We are just now getting in the field. This video was on Monday.
Good stuff buddy we are getting ready to north east Ohio I know the drill gatta love ot
Stay safe!

Good morning
When you were talking about the crack, I noticed a rust mark about 18" to the left, I am guessing that is just a scratch ?

Chicken is gone.... RIP!

@@aTrippyFarmer valid point, wasn't thinking about that but very true.
Soybeans the x9 will make you smile
That's where we are looking for improvement!
Are you getting a larger Draper Head with the X9
Yes definitely!
do you need a license or subscription to operate those radios ? like Ham ??
Technically, yes. I believe it is a 10 year license and it is less than $100. I've never had anyone verify my license, though.

Don't overwork Marty this harvest.
He overworks me haha!
Smaller wheels/tires on head cart?
That could work, but you only have so much to downsize when trailering something as heavy as a corn head.
Understood, worth investigating
So that head will go on the x9? I thought u had to get a new head
Not the corn head, just the draper will need changed.
The mic needs fixed sounds funny
I'll double check it. Thanks!
KISS
IG diff between your dad and me… I want to enjoy the baby, not deal with the bath water.
Dad likes to be in the action!
@@aTrippyFarmer God bless him. I admire that
Are you Conservative or Liberal?
My occupation and christian beliefs should mostly answer that for you.
