Guys, nice video! By the way, I have a question and a big request. I am in the process of assembling my table tennis equipment. Would you be so kind and advise me what would be the best choice/combination?
Rubbers: Nittaku Fastarc G-1 is bought
Rubber no. 2? I wonder if it should be: Yasaka Rakza 7/X or Tibhar MX-P
Blade: I am one step ahead of buying Yasaka Ma Lin Soft Carbon or Stiga Inspira CCF.
Could you tell me which rubber can be used with which blade? Thank you very much for your suggestions as I am confused...

Hello, it depends on your playing style as well as level :)

@ I am an offensive player, amateur of course but I am not afraid of fast rubbers. However if the rubber/blade has more control it's better obviously.
I am thinking about the setup, for instance, if I choose Ma Lin Soft Carbon which rubbers are the best option. The same if it comes Stiga Inspira CCF.

Best combination is Butterfly Viscaria blade and Spinlord Waran 1.5 mm rubber. I play meny years with shortpips.

I've been playing with inverted rubber on my backhand for like 6 years but I never managed to learn how to play with it porperly. 1 Year ago i changed to short pimples and my backhand technique has imporved a lot and I can see I have a lot of progress with my backhand.
But I just face 1 porblem which I'm unsure if I should solve or if it's something I shouldn't be so worried about. The short pimples I'm using are Andro Blowfish with wood Mizuno Zephyr and when I hit the ball with them it returns it just like a normal inverted rubber would. It gets affected by the spin and doesn't kill the spin as I heard short pimples do. Chopping with these pimples is also almost impossible since they are really fast and the ball just flies up when I try to chop. They are however very good to attack with and I'm able to do some really powerfull attacks with them.
So my question is. Should I try another short pimples that will actually have an effect of pimples and not be just like normal inverted rubber? Or should I stay with them and try another wood? I still want to keep my attacking style. I don't want to be a defender but I kind of want the pimples to have some kind of effect because now it almost feels like I'm playing with an inverted rubber.
P.S: You can see my playing style by clicking on my TH-cam channel if you want to see how I play.

Try der materialspezialist firestorm maximum thickness. The one with the yellow-ish cover.

Hi, I used to play with blowfish, but now I’m playing with Waran SpinLord. As much as I love my pimples, I can see that I’m fantastic playing against average-level players. The problem starts when I play against someone at a bit higher level. Those pimples are not far off from inverted rubber, and I can feel that my shots are not as difficult to play against, and they are not as effective as I would like them to be. Plus, I make more errors with them when I’m out of position than I would with inverted rubber. I’m going to try Dignics 05 after this season and see if I can work with it. If wont work I will know that perhaps I have to play more fh 😉Good luck with your choice! 👍 I totally know the feeling.

Just saw your video since I’m looking into short pips for my backhand. I recently tried short pips from a club mate since I was always lured to short pips cause i thought it might fit my playing style especially on my backhand. I love to punch, flick, actively block and flat hit with my backhand and inverted rubbers never gave me the feeling/control I was looking for. When I tried the short pips it felt like natural and i played with it without any problems. So I’m thinking of putting der materialspecialist spinfire or rakza po on my backhand (maybe you advise something else?) since they are more recommended when you change from inverted rubbers. What thickness of sponge should I aim for?

    •  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello!
I’m playing with the der materialspezialist firestorm and it suits me well. Rakza PO is also a good alternative. Usually you have to try a few different before deciding. I would recommend a thick sponge.

      Loa

      @blueheart9873 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Spinfire is a good transition rubber. It plays like close to an inverted rubber so adjusting is not that hard. With the same logic you also won't get the extreme properties of a short pimple with it. It still takes some spin, like 30% less than an inverted rubber while most SP take about 50% less. It really depends on how big of a jump tou like to make

I know when you received flat hits from short pips, the balls tends to go down net (therefore need some topspin / brushes in your blocking)
But what about received chop from short pips? What kind of balls we are expecting?
    Thanks for the answer😊

    •  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello!
It would be like the effect of a backside rubber defending, but less spin and probably easier to get lower over the net.

Hello guys. I thinking about return to table tennis. I have a break bcs arm injury. I thinking about play with two short pips, bcs this rubber have short movement. I like offensive tactic. Its worth to train with 2 short pips? Best regards.

    •  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hello!
Yes, it’s worth a shot. It can be a wise choice if you’re injured but want to continue playing. Check out Swedish table tennis player Anton Andersson, he has two short pimple rubbers on his racket.
