      @@Oo-pl9zg I LOVE Hayden. Mitch Johnson has a pathological hate against Kohli, which needs to be exorcised. Haydos is the most popular Aussie in Chennai. He also told us in detail how to deal with the Gabba pitch on Day 1 batting conditions - when we were getting our butts handed to us in 2014-2015, while he was a commentator with Sony. We do NOT forget the shit that Mitch, Haddin, and the rest of the wastrels indulged on that tour, with Kohli. We will have dominance, and you lot - who can't even spell, will be shining our shoes while we're done.

      Indians play well and in the right spirit all times. But they never play in the spirit of the game. They have got so much thrashing may it be 4-0 in India 2012-13, 2-1 in India 2017, 2-1 in Australia 2018-19, 2-1 in Australia 2020-21. Just they won 1 series by 2-0 in Australia 2014. Still they have learnt nothing!In the last 5 series home or away they have lost 4 test series. Even the 1 series they won in 2014 was very tight-Aus win by 30 runs, win by 4 wickets. They have been thoroughly beaten!

    The population was much higher than yours in 2000's also but what has changed is the systems that have become better, more transparent and properly meritocratic which is allowing smoother transition of players from infancy to pro. As a country we should learn from our cricketing systems to implement in all other aspects. We have human capital to beat anybody at anything (as shown by Indian's success in USA etc.) but we lack the systems to harness that capital.

    Labuschagne got a little bit of luck? Are you kidding me, he got more luck than the entire Indian team dude. You got beat fair and square, in your own backyard by an India B team with your captain winning the toss in the last 3 tests. Please take note - next time the Indians tour, they will beat you in Brisbane and Perth to rub salt on your wounds. I disagree with Mitch - intimidation = trying to hit the batsmen. The aussies kept doing it because we didn’t have shami for most of the series, and bumrah unfit in Sydney and not available. Look forward to the Indians dishing out some chin music next time.

      It's a very weak argument. So this was not a factor when Aussies were winning before but suddenly they have now realised that we have a huge population. I think it's a very weak excuse. Our domestic system and IPL are the main reasons for us in achieving this undoable thing. We've always had huge population but it seems like now in the 3-4 years we have got our act together so population argument to me seems like nothing but an excuse.

    • @Ravi-pk4yl
      @Ravi-pk4yl 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So in that case it is all lot more easier to spot the talent from less population ..India might be cricket obsessed nation but it is still not sports loving one ..So talent at minimum is crushed by everyone.
      India always had talented cricketers but the point is that they had self doubt but thanks to IPL ..where they are exposed to International cricketers and play with and against them has helped them to get that confidence.
      Although playing technique is compromised in IPL but it has built that attitude which is required to win in difficult condition.

      Aren't we ,the GOI proudly telling the world that India has the highest number of young people below 25' s in the world and if we use their full potential ,India could be s world beater?the BCCI has to be complemented to take cricket to.cities like Ranchi,Pune, Dharamsala, as well as recognition of talent from even the small cities and towns and even villages.In the past it was a game played in the bug cities and among the elite.
      Parents from.small towns are sacrificing a lot to harness the talent if children..example Shubnam Gill.
      The population was never referred in the past to India's performance.Infact it was even a hugely populated country could not win a single medal in Olympics.Thats changing slowly.
      There wax a time when hockey players were from.Punjab and Coorg.Tiday they are from all over India..
      I think the population point raised by Justin Langer was superbly put .Today no one can take their place for granted..the competition is do stiff..Every body on this tour grabbed their opportunity which wad great for India

    Paine did not just have a 'bad day' behind the stumps. He had an average test series as a batsman and some of his tactics as a captain were questionable. He got defensive when he needed to attack more. Chit chat behind the wicket is good if you can back it up with performance and is limited to friendly banter. Tim Paine was just being a school boy trying to vent out his anger at Indian batsmen. Indians were classy, he kept talking, indians kept performing.

    Mitch Johnson on bouncers: what he is saying about intimidation is complete BS. When you bowl bouncers or short stuff at tailenders or you are doing a lot of the bodyline stuff, it just shows that you can't get the batsmen out legitimately. I can't see how this kind of bowling is considered to be in the "spirit of cricket" but when a spin bowler runs the non-striker out in his run-up it's considered to violate the same "spirit of cricket." I long for the day when a batsman hits one of the Aussie pacemen with a full-blooded straight drive right in the guy's follow-through. Maybe that will even out the score a bit if batsmen can develop the skill to target the bowlers by hitting straight back.

    • @dinkin_flicka14
      @dinkin_flicka14 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mate they are fast bowlers ffs and they're allowed to bowl bouncers and intimidation is a part of it. This is competetion at the highest level, you simply can't be thinking about stuff like, what if I hurt the other person or is it in the spirit of the game cuz we're humans and sometimes we go over the line and that's why we have laws to take care of those things. I think you're talking about Mankading and it is a different topic. Rule is very simple when it comes to this one, the non striker can't move out of the crease until the bowl is delivered and the bowler has every right to run him out. I don't know what was Mitchell's opinion on this issue.. and if he thinks it's against the spirit of cricket, then he's wrong. but having said that, a fast bowler like a spinner has every right (within the rules of course) to use whatever is possible to get the batsman out like intimidation and etc.

    • @regalalien
      @regalalien 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      "They are fast bowlers, ffs" And all of you are Aussies, ffs, so it makes sense, right, mate?
      You should at least move up with the times. Stop call it "Mankading" unless you also want to call hitting a batsman with a ball "Hughesing". Also, avoid other racist terms like Chinaman while you're at it.
      The deliberate attacking of the batsman's body with impunity does not do credit to cricket. IMHO, all your arguments in support of bodyline bowling are specious. The "laws of cricket" about intimidatory bowling are nonsensical--it was weird that Indian bowlers were no-balled in the recent Test series for their skyscraper bouncers while the Aussie bowlers were hitting Pujara and Ashwin body blows.
      In baseball, the batter wears a helmet and sometimes elbow guards and a cup to protect against wild pitches. But you know what? If a pitcher throws a ball at a batter's body, the batter will respond by throwing his bat at the pitcher and charging him along with his teammates from the dugout. Why is it that cricket, especially the Aussie version, glorifies the deliberate targeting of the body as a strategic element? You call it "softening him up" for a yorker, and this device is the preferred weapon of choice against tailenders. In the first innings of the last Test, Rahane even considered declaring the innings when Natarajan was batting in order to shield him from the bodyline stuff.
      I'm afraid that we're in for another Hughes-like calamity before too long.

    First test victory of Aussies are just a fluke. Indians didn't had much experience in pink ball test, If they gave 120+ taget to Aussies they 'd ve bunduled under 100 to Indian pace attack.

    What kind of of rationale is 1.3 billion people? Shouldn't China be in the top 5 teams then? Also by that logic how has south Africa been so magical for so many years? The population of India was heavy for a long time, its ridiculous to bring this as a narrative now. IPL is a reasonable justification, but come on population, seriously? At the end its down to 11 individuals who want it bad enough and architect a plan to get there.

    I heard it twice and couldn't see anything wrong in what Mitchell Johnson said. There was plenty of praise for India. Cricket is a bat ball contest. You are legally allowed a bouncer. Bouncers were way more lethal earlier. Tim Paine was, however, arrogant. Should have shut his mouth & concentrated on his keeping and field placements.
    The pitches at Perth & Brisbane were way more bouncy & lethal earlier. They have mellowed down.

    Why can’t they see that they kept letting india off the hook after being in positions to drive the win home. They have to be more ruthless, they set up to win the matches then let India back in- that sundar-thakur partnership was completely unnecessary and changed the game

      Nobody lets anyone to lose a match, its Sundar and Thakur played brilliant and built a partnership which caused Aussie defeat.
