What else underneath that cover besides the mirror holder?
In my 2018 Camry there’s a crash detection sensor/camera (see little box with wires?)..only found that out per a dash warning that windshield was too dirty in front of it one night lol😂

Just what I needed today. Mirror mount worked its way loose and shaking. Also, the digital display would cut out intermittently. Nice and tight now, no shake and when I use the digital it works like a champ.
best video I found for Toyota ADAS cover removal. I just got a 2021 Corolla. The dealer wanted $600 for a frame less mirror with home link. SAME mirror on amazon for $147... Thank you

Good job bro.
The cover does not need to be removed (danger of damaging cover). A torx (or sometimes called star) T20 is all you need. I bought the frameless HomeLink mirror from my Toyota dealer and swapped in less than 10 minutes.
I am thinking to get that same mirror you bought. Does it need to be powered by cables or batteries?

Thanks, this made installing my HomeLink mirror super easy. I like your trim removal better than whatever the Toyota instructions say - easy and no damage to the clips this way.

I wondered what's in that black box now that I want cameras installed
I have a 2021 Camry and after I slide it down it just won’t open. I feel like I’m going to break it.
I had a rock crack the windshield of my brand new RAV4. Ever since the replacement, this box rattles and I can't figure out why. It seems secure but makes an annoying rattling sound when driving. I don't want to hot glue or tape a brand new vehicle. Any suggestions?
I would try to remove it and check all the clips. They may have been damaged during the windshield replacement.

I cant get this to work for me. Can’t see the “latches” or feel them..
