Creo que trabajan muuuuy bien la técnica de base, y el control del eje. Eso resulta, luego de mucho de ese trabajo, en buenas bailarinas que saben como hacer buenas piruettes controladas.
Core strength and spotting are very importance. Add some extra crunches to your routine, and practice just being in passe en releve, not turning, just balancing, then do quarters, halves, singles, doubles, triples, etc. Really focus on spotting and pulling yourself up with your abs.
They teach good turning technique, and have had some incredible turners throughout the years (Melanie and Maya to name a couple more recent ones, and Sophia about 9 years ago). And I swear you just absorb some people’s energy if you’re in a positive environment surrounded by people who will cheer you on, and if you are comfortable making mistakes, then I feel like it’s easier to go into a move or turns with confidence
I need to see if there are any studies on the un-tilt effect, like it's the exact same way if I'm gaming or playing the piano, I can sit an entire night and just fvck it up over and over, give up, and get it right the at the first try the morning after. It's so weird! Could it be like the brain getting time to process the info??
@@absolutelynotarobot It must have something to do with resting, sometimes I even get this effect with purely physical things like running. Take 10 days off and I'm faster than before.
The control of the last pirouette after you recognized that your excitement was causing you to lose control.. gorgeous, Eva! Funny how sometimes time off can be good for the body.
I took a month.off riding because of a broken rib, and when I came back I was convinced I was gonna suck like never before, and somehow i was BETTER?! I don't get it, but a break every now and then seems to help!
Oh this such a thing with taking time off! One of my ballet teachers growing up would always have us do turns after studio breaks cuz they were consistently more. Probably something about not thinking too hard and tensing up.
I adore your dressage trainer ❤ his commentary is pure gold. "How can you expect to sore like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys?" The way he said it made me chuckle!
YASSSSSSSS ❤ also its always sooooo good to take a break to refresh your brain to help you push passed mental blocks! Breaks are a good thing. I'm on a one year break from riding horses because I'm pregnant so different reasons but I hope when I go back that the love will be stronger then before for it ❤ and the more love you have for something the stronger your passion for it the stronger your passion for it the better you'll become because that passion fuels your education ❤
When I take a break, I lose strength but I think the technique remains for the most part. I also think taking a break can help improve technique in my experience. You have improved sooo much. I used to so ballet, and to this day, I maintain it is the most challenging hobby I've ever tried. I also think it's awesome that you are documenting your progress like this. It is inspiring and shows that even complete beginners who start in adulthood can progress as there is a bit of a misunderstanding that adulthood is too late to start. ❤🎉
My awful dance teachers growing up never taught us how to do turns because my group was the intermediate in my age decision at our studio and they put all their time into the advanced group and decided we would never be able to get to a higher level. I still wish I had been taught but I quit going into highschool cuz of the trauma I endured there
As for becoming a turner or not, I really believe it is all in training. I did a summer intensive at Jacobson ballet school (known for producing turners in Russia) years ago and when I got home, I did 5 on flats (never did that before and not during the intensive).
The hell do they feed their dancers to make everyone a turner?😭 I need some of that
me too!!!

Part is friendly competition. One person does 5, another says "I wonder if I could do that". They're also super willing to teach each other.

I swear this happens to me with everything I take a break and magically I’m better 😂😂😂

@@absolutelynotarobot and it's possibly frustration too that doesn't allow the brain and the body to be relaxed and concentrated enough to do it
Your brain is learning a lot through the night. That's why we are better after breaks.
Our brains are awesome!!!
