I'm 25 and I have wanted to dance ballet since I was 12 but the adults in my life never allowed me to because of my scoliosis and joint problems. Now that I am in adult I am working in PT to strengthen the muscles around my joints and my back muscles as well as trying to become more flexible (safely). I know that while I may never become a professional I can still safely dance ballet. And I will. I am so excited for the day when my doctor says I am doing well enough to take lessons. I've been working hard so I know it will happen soon.

@@emilieschulze305 if it's EDS or Marfan Syndrome, try to find a Physical Therapist or Personal Trainer that has experience with those conditions.
I never realized how much performance/star quality Victoria has you can’t teach that. Melanie is technically perfect.😭

I loved that! Sometimes it seems as though the dancers miss good opportunities to utilize the tambourine and it becomes just something they are holding as a prop. I love that she took so many opportunities to actually hit it.
Me: **attempts to execute these moves at my current age and does so successfully, only to find my corpse laying face down on the studio floor as I realize I can see through my hands** “D’oh!”

I have a challenge I’m doing where any ballet video I see I have to train until o can perform the skill to the same level
*i would LOVE to do ballet but I’m as flexible as a piece of dry spaghetti (literally cannot even touch my toes) and I have the memory of a goldfish, if I were to perform I would forget everything because I also have a little bit of stage fright. I did like 2 months of Broadway Jazz and performed then and it was okay but still I don’t think I can handle ballet*
Start taking classes! If you need w good stretch routine I have a stretch playlist non my channel. You can do this!

She has to be at least eleven and her ankles and feet need to be strong enough. Until she's 11, her bones are still growing and she will damage her body by going on pointe too early.

You need to try any basic martial arts class. It's the first thing they teach (if they're responsible).
