  • With 40 years of research and experience in magnetic braking systems, we have now added a
    brand-new SV BOOSTER SYSTEM that gives you all the control you know and love from our SV Concept, now with the added benefit of longer casting distance. Also featuring our brand new
    HYPER DRIVE DESIGN for an ultra-smooth retrieve and powerful winding performance.
    Our HYPER DRIVE DESIGN is comprised of four key technologies- HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR, HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT, HYPER ARMED HOUSING and HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH.
    1) HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR- a brand-new gear design makes the teeth of the gears more efficient at transferring power, therefore making the gear set feel smoother, more powerful and also reducing gear noise.
    2) HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT- a two bearing support system for the reel's pinion gear means no flex and an ultra smooth retrieve/ gear rotation.
    3) HYPER ARMED HOUSING- the reel features an aluminum frame and sideplate for maximum rigidity and precision performance of the internal components.
    4) HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH- a redesigned and reinforced clutch mechanism increases durability and performance.
    These features combine to make the new Zillion SV TW a peak example of design, function and innovation.

    I’ve got three and let me tell you I wish I had 7 more. So easy to cast. And farther than any of my elites,curados, hakais, spinning whatever. Feels solid too. Load up the braid and it’ll do anything. Tried 1/8 to 2oz and amazed me at all of them.

    I heard that the JDM version has a aluminum gear gear drive, compared to the USDM which has a brass gear drive. Will there be a brass gear kit that can replace the JDM aluminum gears? Also, does the spool gear on the JDM version aluminum and the USDM one is brass? Sorry I’m just wondering since, I want a gear system that is durable and won’t be damaged due to the continuous reeling and such.

    Mark, the hyper gear teeth are bigger and deeper, not smaller like shimano Micro gears. I just want to correct that.

    I'm really confused here. In this video, it states that the gears are smaller to provide more contact and provide smoother retrieve and strength. In other videos from Daiwa, it says that the gears as much larger than conventional gears to improve strength. Which is it? I think that if it's smoothness Daiwa is after then the gears would be smaller not bigger. Why the conflicting information at the 5 min mark on video.

    • @DaiwaUSA
      @DaiwaUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the confusion, the Hyper Drive Gearing refers to the actual gear teeth design. The design of the teeth allows for more gear contact than standard gearing, which gives you more strength and a smoother feel

    • @DaiwaUSA
      @DaiwaUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Untrue. The gear design is a new deign allowing for an increase in gear meshing and contact points. This gives more torque and helps to prolong the life of the internal components of the reel.
