Excellent video. I put five springs n tightened the trem all the way. Using 10 guage flat wound n lower tone n volume. Strat makes a fine jazz guitar. Keep up the great videos!

Well let me say thank you for the video, I’ve been searching for a hard Stratocaster USA for years with no find! Custom shop offers fixed bridge as you know there expensive! I love the guitar, all of them are great, Hardtail is my favorite, if I ever acquire one I will have the wiring modified that the bridge and neck pick up work together in the middle position like the telecaster , I never use just the middle pickup on my strat, I have the bridge against the body but it’s not a hardtail which is my hope to have instrument. Hey I owned the same Japanese 62 telecaster, I ask myself often WHY did I sale it? I have no words just aggravation and regret! Proud of you holding on to yours! Great playing awesome video and content! Appreciate you for it!

Thanks Jamie - FWIW you can also put wooden block in the trem cavity, if you have a strat and want to try out the idea...

I've been getting parts together to make a Sonny Landreth type Strat.

Definitely more fundamentals in the tone of the hard tail Strat; very Tele like. That “boinginess” that regular Strats have is gone, in every position. But that’s why I prefer the Tele…

Thanks for this. I’ve always wanted one since I saw and heard Jerry Garcia play one. But they are difficult to find in the UK

Super easy to hardtail any trem equipped strat.

Thanks! Just bring down the volume and tone slightly on the guitar and pick lightly.

I am personally not a fan of the typical "jazz tone" so this ain't blowin' mah skirt up. Julian Lage has good tone, imo. Wish more guitarists would learn to love the treble knob. Opinions are of course just that.

I had a ‘77 hardtail and absolutely hated it tbh, had a pro setup on it too and still didn’t like how it felt. Maybe just that individual guitar. I’m mainly a blues player though, so more bending.

I’ve found 70s Fenders hit and miss

Made in Corona? That’s in California. That makes it an American Strat.
