Good information especially work out your food intolerances. I have had diverticuli for many years and several bouts of diverticulitis. Reducing plant foods, particularly leaves and flowers eg broccoli, cauliflower, other brassicas, spinach etc as well as many fruits and all grains reduced my inflammation. I can immediately tell now when my gut is inflamed…discomfort, pain, stool changes etc. Small amount of gluten free oats the other day caused a 3 day upset 😮

I'm 64 and just had a flare up that I think was triggered by NSAIDS I took for a bad tooth ache. I was thinking, if my old dog presented the kind of pain I was in, I would have put him out of his misery. No such luck for humans.
Great informative and very easy to follow video. Thank you. I have IBS as well as diverticulosis. Tomato pips were found in the pouches of my diverticulitis because I used to eat them constantly. I have Chronic Kidney disease for 20 years plus and in the last year suffered with diverticulitis. For the past 8 months I've been suffering with severe pain although I've had two lots of antibiotics during that time. What advice can you give me?
So many of us are suffering from some form of IBS or another. Mine is relatively mild compared to many out there, but years of struggling to find what causes my bloating. Almonds (with the skin), corn, and bread have been proven, though a little sour dough is tolerated. Just been diagnosed with a diverticula, no symptoms. I would think that psyllium husk, (pure fibre) with bentonite, which I use occasionally during water fasts, might benefit us on a limited, more regular basis. Moving to a more carnivore, low carb diet has improved my symptoms, by the way.

Drinking tons of water to soften the stool helps. She's also getting relief from eating watermelon, honey dew melons, and smoothies. My mother seems to feel better when she eating plant base. The stomach doesn't work as hard digesting fruits and vegetables compared to meat. If you're constipated, meat is way more toxic sitting in your digestive tract than fruits or vegetables. If you get your nutrition from fruits and vegetables it's way easier to create bowel movement when you flush your system with water or green juices. To reduce the chances to infecting the DV it's important to have bowel movements daily. Avoid black tea and caffeine. The two best herbal teas for diverticulitis are: marshmallow and wild yam root. Breakfast: Scrambled eggs cooked with a few drops of vegetable oil and salt, boiled and peeled white potatoes browned in the air fryer, dry white toast, and 2~now 1-percent milk Lunch: 2 or 3 protein drinks, 2 slices of bread, a banana, and water Dinner: Soup/either chicken or beef, peeled carrots, either pasta or peeled potatoes, slice of white toast, and a glass of milk Breakfast and lunch have been pretty much the same. To vary dinners a bit, I’ve added mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and chicken

I couldn't get the port in my arm for the IV antibiotics this time got infected, got another one put in and it bled so they had to take that out ,which last year I came home with antibiotics by IV and I'm very very very tired and very very emotional from this and does anybody else suffer that? Since they know the correlation between the gut and the brain, I'm afraid this is really depressing!! The pain and lethargic feeling I will get surgery probably in a month or so have to follow up with my surgeon since I had so many attacks where I could risk a preforation.

How to avoid bloating on a daily basis
I think if you do spinach, and plants should be blended in a green juice,no diary or meat, for me baby food diet, meditation and green juice and nutrients and a parasite cleanse, and walking in nature to give the body a reset, avoid acidic foods, glutamine, aloe Vera juice, slippery elm and marshmallow root.let the gut heal and do night castor oil packs.you will heal

What about baby food?
I find I need to drink 2 bottles of water to fix my problems. On a bad day I also eat 6 prunes.
Allergies to pork food to me is what triggers my attacks.
Allergies trigger your diverticulitis attacks?
They do
@@DaveOriginallyfromBrooklyn they do
Me too no pork no salad with steak I had my ninth attack last week. I was in the hospital for seven days and I'm home and I feel like crap. I'm on antibiotics by mouth they make me sick.
Pork is so Random, to me? I’d avoid red meat. Harder to digest. Seems more fish, steamed veggies, watermelon-cooling foods.
Does anyone use suppositries?
Fiber video would be great
Can stress course this to
My doctor said don't eat nuts.
Deez Nuts?
You speak about men with diverticulitis. What about women?
I did a juice fast and they came out of me
Too many ads, and it takes a long time to get to a point
Too much talk so what foods I should eat
Hi you can get the list here: www.dietvsdisease.com/fodmap-food-list?
I really didn’t understand nothing.😊
Ive been told by one Dr, dont eat nuts...... And another Dr told me nuts are fine, the old no nuts idea is incorrect..... So much conflicting info out there
Put your camera higher, it bothers me when you talk when your chin is up higher & I see more of your throat.
Sounds to me like your not sure of anything,
Too much hand action
Just give us a LIST leave out all the waffle please.
Hi you can get the list here: www.dietvsdisease.com/fodmap-food-list?
Unfortunately you speak much too quickly for us seniors with hearing problems combined with your accent makes it difficult to understand what you’re saying
Your microphone is very bad. Hard to listen to your voice.
Sitting here eating red meat while watching this. And a cigarette after.
