He passed villopoto in practice. that doesn't mean anything at all. he could have not been trying. im for sure that Ryan's the fastest man on the planet. to add on to RC not being fast enough. Ricky got his butt handed to him by the 450A class for the LLQ. So Im pretty sure if he cant win a A class race, he cant be RV1. For sure back in the day RC is faster than RV1 but not today..
You needed to see the whole practice. RC stayed with him for the next 3 corners and then RV left him. Yes it was practice and that how RC went by to begin with then when RV saw him go by he got on it and they had a little fun for awhile but RC is not at that level anymore and he'd be the first to admit that. There's no way he can stay in that level of riding with his NASCAR and commentary obligations.
Ricky is one of the best riders but he's been in retirement so he hasn't been training physically or training for rising like he used to. For villopoto to get the speed he's got all he does is train train train. All of the very best riders in the past did that but Ricky's been out to long so if he comes out of retirement it will be a season or 2 before any sort of comebacks
goat!! doesnt belong in nascar.having him back in motocross where he belongs would make thousands of us fans happy. Look at K-dub hes been since mcgrath and even though he s not winning races, we still respect him as one of the best out there
Carmichael in his PRIME would beat Villipoto. Notice how he had no trouble picking it up and staying with him? If he were in shape, he could still go that fast for a whole race guaranteed.
Man you can really tell how tiring it must get, lugging around those 4 strokes on Daytona's treacherous sand! Slippin, Sliding, Faces of jumps giving out, lines changing every other lap..
GOAT IS THE MAN!!! He took some goon lines and still got weimz and tickle by a mile! If it was racing and he riding a race line he would been really much competion for villopoto. Better than JS or RD ever.
@CatsJ35 I hear the sound of him twisting the throttle! When VP goes by he grabs more throttle and is keeping up just fine! But RC said saturday night that was the only time he passed the CHAMP!

It was chronic fatigue because I remember watching some documentary on him that said he couldn't race anymore because the chronic fatigue made it too hard for him to train on a regular basis, because he would be ok one day when it wasn't as bad and then the next day he would wake up after training or racing and be absolutely exhausted and unable to that day. It was something along those lines anyway.
Was awesome seeing ricky on a bike again but man he needs some serious gym time. Got to give it to the man he's still got it after all this time off the bike! Best whip of the day right here in this video!
