I have just started learning to sing, and I went into it knowing it wouldn't happen overnight. That being said, I am amazed at how much better my voice is even in 1 month.

It's so helpful when someone breaks down these seemingly unimportant things for you and makes you realize how profound they are for success. This video was kind of a revelation. I myself have presently swayed away from the proper mindset. Thanks Dr Dan for this video. These kind of videos helps me get back on track.

Indeed, you are right. I've actually gained some confidence, compared to what I had when I was out of tune. Dr. Dan, I have a question and this may seem a little bit stupid, some people said that I can sing, but how do I really know if I'm properly hitting the notes? When I recorded my voice, I couldn't tell If I was in tune or not, I had to ask a friend to listen to my recordings, and I was so embarrassed. I guess I don't have the ear for music, but people say my voice has improved... but I want to find that out myself. :)

Oh, I see. Thanks for the advise, I'd ask a friend to practice with me, and use a software when I'm at home. I'll keep on watching your videos, I learned a lot in just a few weeks, you're doing a great job! Thanks, Dr. Dan! :D

Good morning Dr. Dan. What impact singing while learning to sing, or learning to sing without singing have on the development of one's voice? For example, I am in my church choir, but I want to stop practicing or singing with them for some time until I see some improvement in my voice.

I think your the practical performance opportunities of your choir will assist your overall progress as a singer, Darvis.
