Thank you John, you hit the nail on the head with concentrates. The first version of Glatt was a concentrate and it was nearly discontinued due to poor sales. Gave it another bash as a RTU and it’s now our second best seller. (1st is Först) RTU is so much more social media friendly and I (Cav) find it so much easier to sell as a pump and go. Thank you so much for the positive review. Really appreciate your time and to Imran for holding our range on his store 💚
Love Stjarnagloss ❤
Stjarnagloss sell the best shampoo for matte paint, Matta. I’ve tried every shampoo advertised as matte friendly and Matta is miles ahead.
If using in a snow lance, what is the dilution? Website is unclear on the 5L version.
@@NickLaslett we don’t advise putting it through a foam lance
Tip, spray it on a wet car in sections, wipe it around with a applicator pad or small microfibre while wet, rinse you now have the foundation, then immediately apply again, but just rinse off, and from there on in apply the topper as usual, by the initial step of“wiping” it on ,your reducing the chance of gaps, and allowing a stronger substrate for the second and future spray layers to adhere to❤
your just adding swirl marks you need to touching the paint work less not more
@@HulkRS. This is an after wash product. The car will be clean. Swirls will be avoided.
but then aren’t you really defeating the point of the product, ie time saving quick and easy
@@jonfrench7133 horses for courses, if you want to improve product longevity and performance, one off thorough application as a base coat is worth it iIMHO
Tried it. Iwill stick to carpro hydro2 lite or gueon wet coat
I’ve been using Stana Gloss for a year now shampoo, detailer and am blown away by the results.
This is why i prefer products through a lance. That way you don't miss any areas.
Saw this product when looking for a spray rinse sealant so pleased to see you do a review on it. Will get some of this once I've used the AG ceramic spray. It will save quite a bit of time protecting the car after washing it.
Just used that today. Got good results. Might have used more then I needed. 😊
Almost half the price then wet coat which made me buy it.
Got a Litre of Glatt for £4 on a deal and very impressed with it given how easy it is to apply. You can get 5L for £45 to bring the cost down a bit. Also tried their Sno that i got for £6 and Gummi that i got for £4. Seem to have some very good products in their range but you'd need to buy 5L quantities to make it cost effective.
Great vid, i use autoglym polar seal one cap full about 15ml in a 300ml spray spray bottle and its awesome drying aid with instant beading that last about a month. Great product polar seal.
I do the same with Magiseal by Autobrite
Stjarnagloss have been knocking it out of the park so to speak with their products. I really want to try out their glaze w/protection. I use a glaze every so often in between full polishing sessions to give a little more depth and increase the gloss on my paint. Then I top it with a coat of Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Graphene Paste wax which is my favorite wax at the moment. Turns the finish into a candy apple type of gloss, very glossy and I always get comments when I drive my 370Z on nice days or weekends.
boom happy new year joe love 370z mate you have good taste in cars.
nice video John,
yum foam+ or ADBL - Industrial - Polymer Fruit Wax or Koch Chemie Hydro Foam Sealant You have used this before Bilt-Hamber Touch-On in faomcanon also seems to be a good test to see which is the best
Best to rinse off, bottom upwards as it helps to spread the product
It's a bit like AutoSmart orange bloom that you could get years ago.. back street hand car wash places discovered you could rinse a car, then chuck orange bloom shampoo on it and it made it extremely hydrophobic and glossy. When I did my Autosmart course back in 2003ish they started using it as a sales pitch for it.
Technicians choice tec582 cut 1:1 is a FANTASTIC spray and rinse product and smells great. I use it on my wheels and I use it on customer paint. Then I pull the car in the garage to dry it off, and I use the same bottle as a drying aid. Extremely slick, and no worries that my rise aid and drying aid aren’t compatible stacking since it’s all the same product… One product to do multiple things.
My only issue with any of these "add water" products is making sure to avoid the windscreen, which is impossible if you just spray 'n' rinse. If I'm using something like this (Megs HCW), I apply on the wet roof with a damp MF and buff dry. The rest I do spray 'n' rinse and the windscreen usually stays OK. If I fail, a quick go over with a clay mitt sorts it.
That’s pretty decent stuff. I’ve been using the last of my AutoGlym Polar Seal after changing my snow foam and touch wash to Bilt Hamber touch less. Very tempted to trying it myself as it looks like it’s much better than the polar seal.
it's a drying aid nothing more nothing less
Really surprised you don't have a car dryer Jon. I'm thinking of one
Krystal kleen detail purity x is a perfect concentrate as well, used to sell it back in 2018/2019, but it has its draw backs. Eventually it will turn into gel form, but it doesn't happen overnight.
Koch Protector Wax is amazing, i love it. And it stays on for a long time. You can quote me on that, i was too slow with washing it off my hood/bonnet and it left runny streaks for.. over a year. So yeah, it's durable. And smells nice.
I've decided to give this a try since my cars so battered trying to wax the car would be like trying to polish a turd.
I used to used Gyeon wet coat but it leaves marks and you can easily miss areas. Now, I really like Bilt Hamber Touch-on shampoo but in the snowfoamer, I don't bother to use a mit as ive already shampooed the car. I use it like this product, spray on and rinse off 🎉
Hi Jon i would like you to use and review auto finesse aqua coat hydrophobic rinse. I personally think it’s a great product. Keep up the great videos 👍🏻
Did you buy this after we spoke about it the other day? I'm still loving it. Good beads, easy to apply. I've just filmed a quick video on it myself.
Warning, if you use BiltHamber Auto Foam which I believe is more of a degreaser, it seems to take it off! 🤔
I've been using the Koch Protector Wax. To me it seems better as a drying aid than the old favourite Turtle Dry & Shine, and it's much simpler to apply through the lance. I don't think it's quite as glossy though, or as much of a beader.
I'm curious as to how they compare to the Koch S0.03 Hydro Foam. Maybe S0.02 as a base coat, then S0.03 as a drying aid and topper. 🤔
Another brill video from the goat
I use that just on the wheels, you can dilute it as well.
Pascal is always promoting this, must give it a try.
More STJARNAGLOSS please 👀👌. How about showcasing their sealant: Parla?
Picked up Auto Finesse Aqua Coat from Euro Car Parts, under a tenner for 1 litre! Haven't used yet but hoping it does a similar job to Gyeon etc
I will do a side by side comparison with wet coat (my favourite) and Bilt hamber touch on and see what ratio it needs to be to get close to wet coat if it can🤷♂️. Would be good to see you test this and give your thoughts.👍
Hi John, I use Wetcoat on my wheels and it does a good job. I like the fact that the trigger spray atomises the product well to help get a more even coverage. Can I ask what your recommendation for a good waffle weave glass cloth? The ones I use are good for applying glass cleaner, but are very “grabby” on the wipe-off.
rag company or gyeon mate. get korean waffles they tend to be a bit better than chinese.
U should try Parla, for me it even exceeds BSD.
Try the Allevia Jon. It's new tech works great
Great video was looking at trying ez elixir would love to see you try it & evalute it
What drying towel do you recommend? Mine is shot and im looking for a replacement
in2detailing sell korean made dual sided twisted loop mate. these I like but you just glide them over the panels. they are not all soft and fluffy. if you like soft and fluffy then liquid elements silverback is good.
@@ForensicDetailing are the likely to put swirl marks on the paint it pressure was accidentally applied. Thanks for the info, much appreciated 👌🏻
Is this a good product to use after ceramic coat while washing?
How is it different to the wax rinse stuff at car washes which make the marred dull paint look superficially better until the next wash?
who knows mate from a high level its the same sort of stuff. but from a lower level the formulations vary. its like saying all paste waxes are the same.
@@ForensicDetailing can see benefit on large commercials / caravans but on a car I think I’d quickly one step machine it seems like a waste of resources
How does this compare to Gyeon WetCoat or Carpro HydrO2? I have both and my wife would kill me if I keep buying duplicate products.
Would be interesting to see how both WetCoat and Carpro hydrO2 compare and also with their respective shampoos used as well to see if any extra protection is added
What happened to the golf at the top of the rear right quarter panel?
Yor points at the end about spreading the product resonate with me. With Polar Seal, i just fill a 1.5l sprayer and go to town everywhere. Idiot proof and cheal
I found this on eBay and the advert says dilute 10-1 in a lance and apply it says it won’t foam but will protect and be a good rinse aid you should try it and see ?
And an idea for a video - could you tell us how to strip everything off, to get the paint back to raw, uncoated state? Would claybar do that (but then polishing would be required), what about good old fashioned fairy liquid (but then, what about the salts...)?
claybar is there to rmove contamination. dont use claybar to strip protection. if you have a freshly applied wax or sealant then you need to machine polishing it off. If you have an old sealant or wax or its last legs then a strong detergent APC/strip wash/dish soap/tfr/panel wipe down etc etc will generally kill it. If you have freshly applied coating or older coating, then machine polish it off.
Kamikaze No5 KMKZ Cleansing should be extremely effective. Esoteric Car Care made a video about it on yt.
Hmm looks good. Always been tempted by their stuff but can't work out why i would use this over Gyeon Wetcoat, always been a phenomenal 5* product to me.
It’s a fair bit cheaper.
Built chamber breaking in to USA market w obsessed garage, matt
Wet Coat is still my favorite
So it’s like Gyeon Wet coat, but I’d say wet coat covers better.
Love Stjarnagloss ❤
The alien magic aqua is good
Look at that paintwork under a spot lamp and it will now look like a map of the Himalayas
The turtle wax rinse N Shine is no more, discontinued.
Ffs pineapple gonna have to try this one ,thanks for that John 😂😂
But maybe I need the rinse or drying aids
Buy the Koch. Got it
Jon, Gtechnic or Gyeon?
Gyeon for me m8 big I'm biased. Both are top brands
@@ForensicDetailing Thank you
Jon, You are my reference point
Is Fusso 12 month better ?
thats more a baselines sealant wax. this is more a turbo easy to apply maintainance product
@@ForensicDetailing Thank you Mate
I’m a big fan of Glatt for the rinse aid, gloss, and beading properties but do find it streaks quite noticeably on black paint if not buffed off which I’m not a fan off as means more contact with the paint.
It add zero gloss it's a rinse aid your washing it straight off impossible for it to leave a glossy finish , it's a drying aid nothing more nothing less
this is catinionic polysiloxane (primarily). its the main active ingredient in lots of water based protection products but you can blend it with all sorts of things (wax emulsions etc). It bonds to the paint, you cant just wash it off. It also forms a film and the film will add gloss thats another property of the material. Yes it does not bypass the rule about extreme high gloss polished finish. But on your average car paintwork this will gloss it up a bit. I think we have done gloss comparisons with spray and rinse products before as well under a photometer.
Koch have a new one so03
I tried it, no better than Hydro2 and/or Gyeon Wet coat that I already have on hand. Way over hyped in my opinion, Jack their brand ambassador is a marketing genius however...
Yeah. That's what ive been feeling about this brand. None of the products are bad, just not excellent when other brands are really excelling.
Isn't this just re tweeked Dodo Juice products?
Two comments and two bots. Anyway, do you still wax on top of this?
not really no. I mean you could but. I think wax is like a baseline product or a show gloss product. This is more a quick maintainance product. These spray and rinse seem to bond and work well on top of any form of existing protection.
no difference to wet coat , polar seal etc etc its just a different brand with the same ingredients find these products absolutely useless for the cost of them they are simply a drying aid for cars that have zero protection
different to wet coat yes. like I said wet coat clearly has hardner in it. Polar seal as well is design to be used in a lance so its an extreme concentrate rather than a RTU.
99% water, well worth it LOL
Fair play but covered in video m8. Yes you can get concentrates and we need to tell people this. But I think lots want RTU with this format.
I Hurd it’s just dodo juice rebranded 🤷🏻♂️
