With a full cylinder it hated firing in full auto & so I had to go with a ported type, the hop unit doesn't give the greatest air seal but hops very well but suffers power loss.
Owned a store and tech’d 1000’s of guns. I would rather have an aeg from 20 years ago than any of the shite they produce now. I run the same model (classic army) at 500 FPS and it purrs.
There was a period where everyone was whining that MOSFETs should come standard...then we started getting lowest cost parts at premium prices with reduced reliability I was looking at making a DMR out of an ARES SL-10. Then saw how much of an over engineered deviation the gearbox is from the regular V3 pattern and thought fuck it, I'll buy a CYMA tacticool SR-25 and slap an Element PSG style grip on it.
@@XM-ks1yp V3s are really easy to get high power out of. Motor cage locked to gearbox, short shaft motor, over built gb she’ll. Can easily pull high power spring. Main thing for V3 (and all, I guess) is making sure the hop is getting a great air seal.
Ah truly the best of the slr's going! Not entirely sure what issue you're having with the hop up, but my one seems to be working absolutely wonderfully. Only mod I did to it was change out the standard arm to a custom 3d printed flat hop arm and it works like a charm 😁
SLR one is made out of really bad quality cast zinc pot metal. All the "rivets" are just crude imitation mouldings. I own a gen 1 and a gen 2 Ares SLR and both of them have loads of stripped threads and walked out pins due to the soft zinc receivers. King Arms is real steel and aluminium if I remember correctly.
What is your favorite rifle tor work on? aka one you would use for an all day beater or so or recommend to customers as a first gun to tune up to be much better than ares/ics etc?
Bit late to the party, but i own 2 LCT AKs, RPK and AK-12, have modified the RPK quite extensively, and kept the AK12 gearbox stock, only upgrades being prommy barrel and hop. Honestly, even stock, LCT are rock solid guns. Well worth the price for externals, and are also internally sound
Is there any other brand of mag that fits and works with this king arms fal? Really want a retro looking fal but not sure there worth it in this day and age.. classic army do one but that railed cover is fugly af 😅

I would like to build a monster gun, here in canada for milsim, cold war and ww2 we are allowed to run 500 fps full auto gun. So, im wandering if a high torque motor and gear is the best way to achive my goal?
keep the stock gears but shim them well, any neo magnet motor will pull a 130 spring and should give you at least 475 fps. are you building it with the FAL? also what battery are you using
they recently said they will restock them for next year, not sure i wnat to wait for that though. Someone is selling a "rare" one for $425 here in canada. Really thinking about buying it but not sure if the hopup unit is good enough. I plan to turn it into a 450fps semi only gun, instant trigger response, r hop. run .36 bbs and use it for woodland games
@@bullmeatt that's my gun he is working on, when new the range and accuracy on 328 fps was phenomenal, not sure on how higher fps would affect things tho?
@@albloke what weight bbs were you using and did you happen to measure the range? Most of my guns will easily hit a target at 300 feet when using .32s but our field limits are 420 and then 450 if its locked on semi auto
@@bullmeatt it was doing about 330 fps, never measured the range but it easily out ranged all my other AEG's with a stable flat trajectory using Blaster Devil .25g BB's. never thought about locking to semi and upping the power. you would need to adapt the selector plate tho as the fire selector works the same as an AK, safe - full auto then semi, weird!

Its not good for the gun so you should avoid doing it too much

18:1 or 16:1 and the highest tpa motor you can find. A&K motor is ok but the QA might be off. Make sure gearbox doesnt break.
