I actually think Ichigo, in terms of raw power, was the strongest. Ywhach was not scared of Ichibe but he was of Ichigo
I’m a firm believer that Ichibe won that fight. But Ywhach pulled all mighty out of his ass. Ichibe was winning that fight pretty much the entire time but only lost due to all might
because all of the best bankai in bleach are haxx tbf. Like it's pretty much Ichigo, Kenpachi and Yamamoto competing.
Well, it's a list of strongest bankai, not who is the strongest. If you were ranking in terms of power or straight up blitzing, it'd just be Soul King-Yhwach-Ichigo/Aizen-Ichibe, then it's a bit varied, probably Kenpachi and his bankai and whatever whatever. The ability to win a fight isn't dictated by the strength of a bankai, and someone like Ichigo has insane raw strength, speed, reiatsu, all without a true bankai. In fact it's probably pretty busted to have someone with the raw strength he does also have the speed he does. His bankai + his spiritual pressure has always been insane.
@@typeouetco1626Shunsui > Yama
He was scared of Ichibe. That's why he listed Ichibe as a war potential.
Ichigo (potential)
Kenpachi (combat strength)
Ichibe (wisdom)
Aizen (spiritual pressure)
Urahara (bag of tricks)
Ikkaku has a false bankai imo which is why it's so crap, prone to breaking and 'asleep' when activated. Only reason I can think his zanpacto doesn't respect him is the his reaction to being defeated by Kenpachi when they first met, the old Ikkaku would have trained to get stronger then try and kill him again, instead Ikkaku decided he wanted to die as Kenpachi's subordinate. Due to this I don't think we'll ever see his true bankai, he's been happily living in Kenpachi's shadow far too long now for anything to change.
Agreed. The only way I see his true bankai awakening is if he accepts that he really wants to surpass Kenpachi. His zanpakuto is part of him so deep down he does want to surpass Kenpachi but has repressed that desire in order to serve faithfully
He contrasts Renji in that regard, they both chose to serve their "rival" but Renji never gave up trying to surpass or stand shoulder to shoulder with Byakuya, whereas Ikkaku wholeheartedly accepted Zaraki as his superior and never strived to reach or surpass him.
I agree with you, we may never see it fully realized.
@@revenantronin8377 renjo doesn't have a false bankai tho his spirit is a snake tailed baboon; one has the the snake tail as primary form attack and the other has the the baboon arm as a primary.
Renjinhas 2 bankais >.>
The interesting thing is whether or not the sleeping effect is a result of him not mastering the Bankai, or if that's its ability. If he mastered so it wasn't so fragile and got the 10× and above amp, and then his Bankai gradually increased its power further throughout the fight, that would be pretty OP.
That said, if it isnt his true Bankai then I think it's just an immatire Bankai rather than a fake one. Closer to Toshiro's Daigurin Hyorinmaru rather than Renji's Hihio Zabimaru.
I doubt its a false bankai there isn't really an indication of it being one but more like a reflection of Ikkaku's character his pride prevents him from showing out his bankai basically nerfing himself his Zanpakuto more than likely instead of disagreeing with that follows Ikkaku's will and nerfs itself as well by limiting its abilities and the fact it's already a broken bankai weakens them even further
If Rose kept his mouth shut. He would have probably won.
Most average Anime loss
If James didn't got killed by Mask, he is simply immortal though.
It doesn't even make sense either, how did mask hear him??? He was listening to all that music right??
He absolutely would have. But then again, MOST characters would have instant kill attacks if they kept their abilities a secret.
Who would expect someone to destroy their eardrums. They do more than just make you hear things. They help us discern what is up and what is down.
BAN KAI is a word I just desperately want to hear from Ukitake, Nimaya, Hikufune, Kirinji, Isshin and Aizen
Ukitake's might outclass all others ngl
Huh? How so?
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Give us more bankai's Kubo 👍
Something tells me that we aren't going to get a bankai reveal for the other squad zero members, just a gut feeling🧐
to bad aizen will never get a bankai because he’s to egotistical
Unohana was dogging out Kenpachi so bad before she used her BanKai, one could argue she had to activate it just to keep him from dying while she played around with him.
i thought it was more like kenpachi was catching up fast she needed to use it
Exactly, even with Kenpachi "victory" he took dozens of deaths to reach there. Unohana really was a Power Potency (if she really wanted)
It's because she wasn't strong enough in base to keep up the pressure anymore. He was landing hits at that point. Their level was evening out and he was able to get past the skill gap. If she wanted to remove all the seals so he could regain his full power, she would need to keep up the pressure.
dogging a heavily nerfed base Zaraki, unsealed base Zaraki>>>Unohana
@@aronkalacska8695 so good that he needed to be revived lol
Unohana was literally bringing Kenpachi back to life; Very likely she had control over life and death.
She has healing kido it’s not her Bankai ability, I’m pretty sure the even say that’s why she learned kido in the first place to make fights last longer
@@emmanuelakande3563 Yes; but her Bankai was what was bringing him back to life. We've never seen a kido bring someone back to life, otherwise we would've seen Yamamoto use it on his luitenant.
@@Frstypwngaming it’s more like she learned a specific kido that she learned. The fact they said it makes it even more likely saying anything else is head canon. It’s not a horrible theory but it’s still a theory.
@@emmanuelakande3563 Saying it's a kido that repeatedly brought Kenpachi back to life when Yamamoto and several others are kido masters and have never been shown to bring someone back to life makes it being kido head-canon more than her bankai, especially since her shikai already heals....
@@Frstypwngaming no they specifically said she learned healing kido to make fights last longer they say this. That’s one reason after her abandonment of the role of kenpachi she bacame the healer because she already knew it from before. Plus saying yamma doesn’t make sense since he doesn’t even know healing kido like retsu
one thing I'd like to just note about zanka no tachi is while we saw all it's abilities sure we didn't actually ever get to see it's true power, as Yamamoto was not only nerfed by nearly it not more than half, but he was also restraining himself heavily and going through the abilities fast to not destroy the soul society with his bankai. the closest we get to ever actually seeing it's true power is just flashbacks
wrong, yamamoto's zanka no tachi is stronger in present day. he only had zanka no tachi east in the original quincy war, evidenced by yhwach only commenting on its power while being completely unaware of west, south or north. yamamoto's potential was limited by not having an arm, but the bankai he used against royd was undoubtedly stronger than when he was younger
@@randomt800kiddo2 i didnt say it was stronger or weaker than his young bankai, what i said is that we never saw its full potential power [true] and the closest we get to that is young yamamoto [true] because when he was young he was a lot more aggressive, never held back most likely, and had more stamina [it is directly stated that in his old age he has much less stamina]. read what i said next time before you reply.
@@brassbeast8582 its true power isnt in the flashbacks because it evolved in the thousand years lol, youre just yapping at this point
@@randomt800kiddo2 just because he further refined it doesnt mean he didnt already have at least zanka no tachi east and west mastered. weve seen plenty of characters that have mostly mastered their power further evolve it. either youre explaining what youre saying poorly or you just havent watched bleach lol. either way im done talking to you
Boy, this is the dumbest argument since one side isn't even paying attention to the other.
Basically the comment was 2 handed-unrestrained old man Yama > 1 handed-restrained old man Yama > 2 handed-unrestrained OG Yama
We've only seen the weakened, one hand-restrained old man Yama. But, had he had allowed orihime to regrow his arm AND just didn't care about soul society, he may have been SIGNIFICANTLY more powerful.
Personally, I think his biggest mistake was showing off his entire bankai when he could've easily beaten roydloyd with his first or even second technique
Shuutara's was quite the wild card surprise and a perfect close to the season. Ironic that she then was disturbed/disgusted when she found out the truth about what they where guarding with the Spirit King when Ichibei recounted the story in CFYOW's opening. She sure did not like what she was hearing, especially how the King was gouged even after he cooperated and gave in to all of the ancestor's demands.
I was under impression the RG knew everything. It means that Ichibe may hide more secrets than they knew.
only nimaya knows since he is from the primordial world@@SepangGuy
Indeed fellow anime fans. Men and women alike- Gin does lie more than a politician.
Seeing how Soul Society ark characters and Hueco Mudo Ark characters reacted to light, and ichigo scales above those characters plus he has grown since then by the time he fights Gin, we can safely assume that- since Aizan didn’t dodge it in time- Gin’s bankai is probably as fast as light if not sub-relativistic.
@@princemafia5550 Gin's bankai is FTL. Balas are 20x FTL, and Urahara dodged it in base yet Aizen not trying was able to 1v3 him in Shikai + Isshin + Yoruichi, while 1v13ing captains and vizards way beyond Rangiku (the FTL feat holder)

I hope your manifestation comes true, I would love to see Isshin's, Ukitake's, Aizen's, and Love's Bankai animated. The Thousand-Year Blood War arc is full of amazing Bankai reveals, and it would be a shame if we didn't get to see all of them animated.
I'm especially excited to see Isshin's Bankai. It's been teased for so long, and I'm curious to see what kind of power it holds. I also think it would be really cool to see Ukitake's Bankai. He's one of the most powerful Soul Reapers, but we've never seen him release his Shikai, let alone his Bankai.
Aizen's Bankai is also a mystery. We know that it's incredibly powerful, but we don't know what it looks like or what it does. I'm excited to see what Kubo has in store for us.
And of course, I'm also hoping to see Love's Bankai. He's one of the coolest characters in the series, and I'm curious to see what kind of power his Bankai holds.
Overall, I'm really excited to see all of the Bankai reveals in the Thousand-Year Blood War arc. I think it's going to be an amazing experience for anime fans.

ngl, I was really wondering what the lowest rank would be, and when the reveal came I only then remembered Ikkakku had a bankai at all lmao
If we take the Bankai in a vacuum and ignore the characters who use them (or for example, say that we take a person, clone him 29 times so they have the exact same strength, skills, abilities, intelligence etc and give all 30 one of these Bankai each…)
1.) Tensa Zangetsu- The raw stat buff the user would get would make their spiritual energy so high that literally all of the other hax, abilities and stat buffs don’t matter and they’d just blitz and one shot everyone else here. It’s also implied to have an unspoken ability as ‘The Blade with the strength to shatter fate’ which lines up with how Yhwach, who controls fate, was defeated
2.) Mature Daiguren Hyorinmaru- This Bankai gives the second biggest raw physical and spiritual energy stat buff out of all Bankai in the series (Think about the difference between Shikai Toshiro…not Immature Bankai Toshiro, but Shikai Toshiro and Adult Toshiro). On top of that insane stat buff, the user has conceptual power null hax, can freeze all forms of matter including raw spiritual energy, can flash freeze anything with a hand wave, can freeze anything that touches their body or sword, can manipulate the weather, can freely control all moisture in the air from beyond a 7 mile AOE radius etc, can seal people stronger than them in ice that they can’t escape from the inside…again with each ice attack being able to conceptually power null whoever is frozen by it.
3.) Senjumaru’s Bankai- While I can’t say this Bankai gives a massive power boost as she was sealed prior to using it rather than simply just jumping from the level she was shown to her Bankai level. But the insane hax this Bankai has shown with seemingly showing the targets fate, perfectly countering their abilities, and then sealing them seems like an ability that’s damn near impossible to stop without a massive ‘Reiatsu negates hax’ power difference.
4.) Hisagi’s Bankai- The great equalizer. This is one of the few abilities in Bleach that could ignore the ‘Stronger Spiritual Energy negs the hax of weaker spiritual energy’ rule. The difference is the Bankai above it all have some kind of fate or conceptual hax that could potentially shut this Bankai down, but other than that, it’s a guaranteed draw. And securing the death of any other opponent on the list below despite not surviving themself is still powerful as a stand-alone ability.
5.) Azashiro’s Bankai- If you know about SAFWY then this is sort of self explanatory. Probably the Bankai with the most hax (not the most potent hax as there’s no fate manipulation or conceptual abilities like the 3 above it), and all are dangerous. Most notably intangibility, fusionism with AOE making an area the size of the Seireitei your Domain Expansion essentially, energy absorption/stat reduction for enemies/stat amplification for the user, durability negation via internal destruction etc
I’m not gonna explain all 30 and just leave that top 5, but others in the top 10 would be Mayuri’s TYBW adaption based Bankai, Yamamoto’s, Kenpachi’s, Urahara’s, Rose’s etc, not sure what order. Keep in mind it’s the Bankai themselves snd not the actual users
The reason why Ichibei isn’t high up is that his Bankai is *literally* useless without his Shikai, and it’s ability is actually redundant. If you already take away their name with the Shikai, why use the Bankai to rewrite them and give them a new name when they’re already essentially powerless with the Shikai? If it were ranking zanpakuto as a whole package than Ichimonji is top 5 for sure, but with just Bankai in a vaccum? Nah not cutting it
Yeah...I mean, I guess if we assume, your standard fighter, despite not having their specific reiatsu, can control the bankai completely.
Yamamoto for example, it was kind of insinuated, that his Bankai changed/evolved over time. MAture Daiguren Hyourinmaru apparently needs quite a few prerequisites to activate at all. Mayuri's bankai, is only like that, because he messed with it, and I don't think normal people could bear Kenpachi's bankai either. Etc. etc.
I understand what you're doing, but I don't think it works to just look at these Bankai divorced of their user. And I don't just mean, that they trained these Bankai, but that they either actively changed their bankai, or that they have to fulfill certain criteria, to use their bankai. Which is why, I feel like in this scenario both Daiguren Hyorinmaru (mature) and KEnpachi's Bankai, especially shouldn't really be in the list. Without his insane reiatsu, and body, Kenpachi's Bankai will rip you apart. And you'd first have to "reach maturity" to use mature daiguren Hyorinmaru at all. Similar things apply to Mayuri's Bankai.
Gin's bankai has to be MUCH higher. The final command is "kill". That alone makes it AMAZING.
He could easily have killed Ichigo if he wanted to.
He's basically the Shinigami version of Lille
In my opinion he's got like an easy top 5 bankai because it's an instant kill on anything he touches.
@@CptraktornI agree! His bankai was defeated by Aizen plot armour.
He could easily kill anyone he wanted, only those with immortality can survive it, or with some way of blocking his shikai from piercing them in the first place, but then that would have to be active 24/7
What's crazy Azien Shikai is stronger than 90% of Bankais on the list
Seriously this is the best video of top bankai who i have seen you are the first person to understand and explain the true power of hitsugaya's bankai
2:35 Ikkaku's Bankai feel like something unfinished - we know that he and Yumichika have issues with their swords, due to their own nature not being fully embraced. Hopefully in Hell Arc we could see Ikkaku use the bankai that is now honed and trained. And there is good chance for him to finally upgrade it. Now that Kenpachi has his sword and Bankai ability - there is no excuse for Ikkaku to not train it. In fact he probably should train with Kenpachi to hone both abilities. Both Ikkaku and Yumichika are from similar generation to Renji, so it's very likely they both had unfinished Bankais, due to their lack of experience and proper usage of their swords. And it's about time for Zaraki to acknowledge his underlings are stopping their own progress - he needs to teach them the lesson Unohana did for him.
3:15 Sword is always a reflection of the user. Ikkaku is lazy, he also is overly rough around the edges. It's very likely his own body needs to grow stronger to be on par with his Bankai for him to fully utilise it. It's a giant destructive weapon. He needs to be able to use it, he needs to train. Kinda similar to Rukia having to learn how to survive in the absolute zero death transe. And as it is all power - very likely the stronger he becomes, the sword will also answer to his power rise. Maybe if he works on his laziness - his bankai may need lesser time to actually activate full potential.
3:40 Well that's a understatement - Byakuya actually needs a lot of control and brain fortitude to operate Senbonzakura properly. It's extremely dangerous bankai that can cut him or his allies with ease - that's why he even made the defensive bubble, to not even risk getting damaged by his own blades.
4:00 Unironically could be because it's not his true Bankai and it's not really listening to him. Or it is an intended use of his sword - it's meant to be fragile. it's meant to break. Could have secondary use or ability he hasn't found yet - similarly to what Gin's sword was. Ikkaku is extremely durable and has a lot of stamina - a fragile sword wouldn't make sense, unless it had some other uses. I mean his Shikai is also breakable and has some extra tricks hidden in them. Like the hilt having extra space for healing balms. This should have been reflected in the bankai in some way. It could also be like Komamura's bankai or Toshiro's bankai - it's true destructive power being hidden within Ikkaku himself. Maybe the shell of the sword is nothing than a seal that can be used as conduit for the pure power it has. But it maybe has a secondary form after getting broken. Or maybe the more the sword gets destroyed - more power is brought back into Ikkaku instead. Possibilities are endless. I genuinely wish Kubo wasn't the type of author that loves keeping all the details out, unless necessary for the plot progression.
8:30 Not gonna lie - I agree with that placement. But then also, I feel like Shinji himself hasn't fully trained his bankai either. We know how much he focuses on his Vizard and Shikai abilities. He even mentions how he expands the levels of reversal on his Shikai - now even reversing the words spoken to his enemies. I would argue that there may be some area to evolve and change the abilities of his bankai. Maybe lower the range so it only affects some of his opponents, keeping it safe for nearby allies. Maybe he could work a way to make his allies aware of the abilities and actively counterbalance their effect. We really don't know how exactly it works - there may be some factors that could allow for customisation. Especially with Urahara's or Mayuri's help, there could be some ways to use it.
Also there may be some other hidden uses for it. We know that his Shikai affects senses. His bankai does something else - it likely reverses someone's feelings/memories. Maybe it isn't just that, maybe he could reverse some other similar concepts. Like let's go out of the box as far as we can - how about reversing someone's perception of being safe and unsafe, reversing their instincts. This way opponent could actively run into the sword to stay safe. But then again that wouldn't really help with the range and getting his friends affected by it. But there definitely have to be some other workarounds, aside the idea that he needs to be alone against a lot of adversaries.
18:00 The thing is - this is one of those Bankai like Komamura's and Soifon's where the user is really the actual source of its power.
You could argue, Komamura after becoming Immortal for short period of time, or if he would train to be faster or learned how to infinitely heal - his bankai would be disgusting in power.
Soifln's became "better" after she trained to sustain the shockwave and use it multiple times. But now imagine if it was someone with Ichigo's speed or Yamamoto's or Aizen's reiatsu levels. The explosion could probably be bigger and deadlier. She could run into the enemy and fire it point-blank if she was more durable and fast and strong enough to move with it. And with Aizen's reiatsu she probably could fire it in quick succession, expanding the range and chances to hit. Especially if it allowed her for infinite explosions.
Kensei needs to touch someone and keep the diatance and touch for extended time. Any faster or stronger opponent would overpower him. It's not really the bankai that is super good - its his own abilities.
19:55 For me Rose's bankai may be on similar level to Senjumaru's. It's as versatile - the difference is power scaling, experience and sheer creativity. He could materialise a lot with this power, with only one weakness, that potentially could even been overcome with some technology and training.
23:35 Funniest part is that - if Unohana used Tosen's bankai, she would be undefeated - he literally just needed to use different weapon or kido and keep his sword away from his opponent.
28:10 Not gonna lie - I would probably put it higher. His bankai is fast, long and is just a quick giant stinger with one of the deadliest, if not deadliest poisons available. It's literally what Soifon wishes her Bankai was. It literally only failed against a godly being that surpassed any Shinigami and even then - Aizen would have been defeated if not for endless capabilities of Hogyoku.
43:00 Well Lille Barro at his strongest - still only shoot things. Mayuri's body is liquid, he had the counter when he fought Uryuu and he probably could also survive and heal himself enough to create some level of reflection against Lille. He probably would use a poison that destroys/confuses Lille's perception - leading to him shooting himself. And it's kinda easy to assume what Lille's power can do - assuming worst scenario, he will be doing giant bullet holes, cause he holds giant rifle. And in his biblical accurate form - Mayuri probably would have time to hide with some decoys to thing of a plan. And when it comes to Balance, well - he still probably could somehow overcome the ability. It needs to be some way activated, so maybe that's his window of action. Or maybe he could abuse the rules for the Balance, to only allow bad luck for himself, basically limiting Hashwalt's offensive to anything but his shrift.
54:30 Technically absolute zero is the temperature that nothing can actually reach. It's the border that would stop every matter to stop moving on molecular level. But that's not possible due to uncertainty principle and randomness of the reality on the lower scales - the creation and annihilation of particle-antiparticle pairs on itself will throw any system out of the absolute zero. We can try approaching it, but never actually achieving. And it's kinda reflected in Rukia's use of her ability. She flash-freezes the whole area, but it's only a fragment of a second, before the temperature rises once again. Even in the game universe, where she can move within her Bankai - she very likely isn't ever operating on prolonged absolute zero.
56:13 Well we don't know that - it's very likely it can be countered with extreme heat. Similarly how Yamamoto's abilities nullified Toshiro's. With enough heat, you probably could survive the freeze nuke. And we know it's range is limited and it's quite fast event, as Byakuya almost immediately comes back to her after it's activation. And only being slightly frostbitten when he directly touches her.
59:40 One thing to add to Urahara's bankai is that - we know that it's not an offensive power. He tells us that. And it's very likely that his powers are also limited to the swiftness of his thinking and application of new strategies. It won't heal and counter everything, if he can't think of the solution before the attack happens. And he can't cause as devastating damage as in his Shikai state. It's very similar to Mayuri's in that aspect.
1:00:26 It makes you wonder - is Kyouraku's sword limited only to certain level of child games and stage plays? Or is it only those that he learned, trained and deemed useful that he uses - but his arsenal is limitless. This is the thing that could define the idea of how strong this bankai is. This could be another variant of the bankais Rose and Senjumaru have - a "do-it-all" bankai that is only limited by experience and creativity of the user.
1:20:10 There is issue with Ichibe's bankai though - it has a limit. Either it was time or power or fate, his swords abilities has been lifted from Ikomikidomoe right before Kenpachi slain it, allowing it to remember it's own original name. Similarly Yhwach was ability to use All Mighty to counter it fully. And it's very likely that adaptive abilities or negation abilities could counter it. Antithesis and Benihime Aratame, being good examples of that.

I disagree. Ichibei's bankai is essentially a worse version of his shikai, that only works on targets already hit by his shikai. That's bottom half. It's not Ichibei's bankai that's terrifying, it's EVERYTHING ELSE about him.
This may just be me hoping for great things in the eventual Hell arc, but I hope and wish that all the Captains and Vice Captains as well as any other Vice Captain/Captain level Shinigami outside of Sereitei get some training from the Royal Palace. They're already considered the weakest generation of captains/vice captains and they'll be pitted against all the strong threats in Hell from former Shinigami to former Espada to maybe even former Sternritter if Kubo goes that route. There is no way they should be THAT severely underpowered
I do agree with you, especially in Soi Fon case.
But I do wonder about this??? Who said they were the weakest?

Little did he know that his shikai is his bankai
What's crazy is Aizen made a fake Bankai with his Shikai so he could be a captain lol
his bankai is reading pages ahead that havent been made yet
Aizen doesn't have a bankai
He doesn't trust his sword that's why he doesn't have bankai he was too dependent to gain power rather then trust his sword
Actually with Minazuki the regen is not part of Unohana's Bankai but her ability to heal as a Shinigami, she even admited it. The fact that Kenpachi was near dead and came back alive wasn't because of her Bankai's regen ability but her Bankai's destructive ability and her expertise in healing powers using kido
it wouldnt be weird if her bankai actually was healing then, since the power is a manifestation of the user's personality and life experiences, she clearly stated she wanted the power to heal to enjoy fighting forever, so a bankai that could grant infinite healing for both her and her opponent would be just perfect for her.
@maximum9959 yeah but that's why she has her shikai which it's pretty much only healing as far as we know
@@Nobodyfrom2003 her shikai only heals from the inside as it swallows people

@@Kagenokami1015 it’s not Acid, at least not yet accepted as Acid.
But it still decays since Kirinji explained excessive healing decays flesh and her bankai is an instant healing bankai meaning the scene could still be literal.
Why wouldn't it be acid? He Shikai heals by soaking people in Minazuki's stomach acid. Why would her Bankai be any different?
Something to note about toshiro's bankai is that everything that is cut by his sword will lose their functions not everything he freezes which explains why gerard's miracle was still active even after being frozen because he wasnt cut by the sword.
Urahara is the batman of the bleach universe with his preptime he could win almost any fight if he can think of the right plan
I guess you must’ve forgotten that with Hisagi’s Bankai is that they can not kill each other but an outside force can kill them. If I’m not mistaken for example: say Hisagi and Yamaji were fighting and he released his Bankai against Yama then Someone could come and kill one of them while they’re connected. It’s ability is that it can’t kill anyone that is connected through the Bankai but someone else could kill them.
It can kill, but only if they both die as it means the pooled spiritual energy is gone. So, Hisagi does have that option if necessary.
But yes, it is primarily built for ending fights by neutralizing the combatants rather than killing them, unless a 3rd party gets involved
I personally think he operated hisagi's bankai a little every thing he said was true but could his aging litterly manage to last mentally in the flames of Yamamoto's. I do not think so I think his mind would break but the potentional is just as crazy as was described
if one a yama's allies try to kill shuhei while their connected then it would just heal instantly using the combined reiatsu pool of yama and shuhei which is actually a disadvantage to the ally. And yh shuheis bankai cannot kill but can only tie but because it can only and basically always tie is what makes it soo broken. Shuhei is one of the only character's that breaks the reiatsu rule.
@@ethanleongsem7582 his Bankai’s literal main weakness is if an outside force interferes with him or his opponent during his Bankai! That’s the only way they can be killed because Hisagi doesn’t really like violence and doesn’t like to kill and his Bankai is a reflection of that. So him or his opponent can’t kill each other but someone else can kill them.
@House.Of.Pain. bro I think you misunderstood what they meant by outside force. They meant after the bankai is deactivated an outside force can ambush them cuz they wouldn't be able to move, whether that be an ally finishing the kill or an opponent who was camping. In shuheis bankai its not that only him and his opponent cannot kill eachother its that nobody can. I don't know where you got that weakness cuz that was never stated nor is it possible cuz I've already said they the chains will just use their combine reiatsu to heal them. You probably mixed up "during" and "after".
Just cause I'm sure im gonna see a million comments about Aizen's potential Bankai being OP. I want to throw out a counter. Aizen, who would have no reason to hold back against Yamamoto, wasn't certain that he could defeat him even with all his power. Why would he not factor in using Bankai? Subsequently, when Aizen faced off against Yhwach, why would he hold himself back and not use it? The truth is that he wouldn’t. Now, there is the idea that Aizen fusing with his Zanpakutō makes him naturally above the state of Bankai, but I'm going to go with the idea that isnt the case. Instead, im going with thr theory that Aizen's Bankai isnt useful in battle.
My theory has always been that Aizen's Shikai has always been about showing lies to those who witness it, only Aizen can see the truth of it. What if his Bankai simply shows Aizen "the truth." It breaks away all the illusions he has about the world and reveals to him the reality. My belief is this is how he learned the true nature of the Soul King, and an even stronger reason as to why he never used it in combat; why would he?
I like the idea of an all answering all truth bankai
Like if he just goes and "Hey is the sky red, and if not, can I make it red", the Bankai itself will just answer what ever the truth is
No matter what he does, because rhe truth is already told, he can't break it
Your second paragraph has been my theory for a while as well
my theory is that aizen relationship with his zanpakuto is weak because he is independent mostly and relies on his own power rather than his shikai
My pet theory: Aizen doesn't have a bankai and that's why he's so butthurt.
I think you're close but not all the way there. I think it's just that his shikai fits his character so well and it was already so OP, it's likely that a bankai would've ended the series rather quickly. Aizen might not even be able to use his bankai under certain conditions, it's just too difficult to use, or he's just too arrogant. Aizen typically plans to make things as easy as he can for himself. He already had a counter to Yamamoto, Zaraki and byakuya in another dimension, and his shikai/hogyoku was enough to deal with everyone else. I think he legitimately believed he would never have to use it. And really the only shinigami power that would work against in the soul society ywach is Aizens Kyoka Suigetsu. Bankais with the exception of false bankais and Shinjis, bankai almost always be an upgrade of a shikai in some form or another.
Aizen was just too arrogant in my opinion that he thought he wouldn't need to expend enough energy to use it. Aizen had plenty of reasons to not use it and plenty to have earned it in the first place. My theory is that his bankai changes things to how aizen views them within a certain area, it doesn't create things like gremmy does, but rather it changes things to fit Aizens perception of them. If he sees the soul society around him as nothing more than a crumbling ruin than it will crumble. Since ywach could change the future, this bankai wouldn't do anything against that, and like I said he already had counters against the rest of the cast, so no point in expending too much of his energy. Which I think would be the biggest drawback of the bankai, his soul pressure and reiatsu would diminish fast.
It's a half baked theory and not half as good as yours. Its just fun to speculate what it could be considering Aizen is already a top 5 power (without ever having used his bankai) in the verse currently. I hope we get too see it even if just once.
Thanks for the content bro real chill and I can do my work while listening to some sweet bleach lore
I love the long videos on anime and especially bleach!! I enjoy your content bro!!
I appreciate it!
Bro I have 40mins drives to work and back home. I will listen to all your videos an have. You commenting makes me watch to keep up on your stuff even more, thank you!!
Not fair to single out Rose's stupidity for telling his opponent exactly how to overcome his bankai when EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER in the TYBW arc does it too. I just finished watching the two seasons of it we have so far, and I was shaking my head the entire time, like, "WHY WOULD YOU DUMBASSES TELL YOUR ENEMIES HOW TO BEAT YOU IN THE MIDDLE OF A BATTLE?"
That's not a flaw of the character's personality, it's a flaw of the writing. Hell, you can name the amount of characters who haven't done it throughout all of Bleach on one hand, and this is counting shinigami, Bount, arrancar, Fullbringers and Quincies.
It's related to Kubo's writing style which involves a lot of exposition
@@ericmiguel1911 Which works fine for manga. The problem is that the anime director didn't properly adapt the script for anime, a far more visual medium where we don't need everything explained down to the nitty gritty. In sports media, they taught us that the way you call a radio broadcast is radically different than how you call a television broadcast. Same concept.
Top Quality stuff as always !!!! I hope we get more Bankai reveals in Cour 3 🎉❤😊
I would say your wrong about toshiro bankai freezing at absolute zero. Rukia entire zanpakuto uniqueness is her ability to reach absolute zero. She is able to control temperature so it would make no sense that Toshiro can reach the same temperatures as she can. There would be nothing special about rukia bankai if Toshiro can do the same thing. And Kubo designs all bankai to be unique and different from one another
Kenpachis bankai is so overrated it has no abilities just a power boost
Zaraki can slash things from distance he doesn’t have to be at something to cut it it’s not much but for somone like zaraki who could already cut basically anything he couldn’t now do it from further away
Same as ichigo its just a multiplier
with how powerful he already is it's pretty irrelevant considering how absurdly strong he becomes
As one of the two renji fans seeing his false Bankai in not last is a win in my book
I completely disagree on some bankais placements but accept your thoughts and reasoning cause you did make some valid points but the top 4 you are spot on
My question is that does Mayuri’s bankai have to witness the power of the opponent first hand or does Mayuri have just know about the opponent’s ability and input it into the bankai?
The "Bankai" only get to "be improved" after Mayuri knows about his oponents. There was enemies that he made tactics outside of his Bankai.
My theory that it takes time to "reformulate" his Bankai when he notice his enemies abilities, power and weaknesses (Mayuri)
Answer: Mayuri states in the Soul Society Arc that his Bankai uses his own blood for its poison and can be modified for different effects.
His New Bankai, is just like his old Bankai, capable of being quickly modified using Mayuri's own DNA as the Blueprints.
Mayuri uses the information that he gathers, through various means, to transform his Bankai into something nearly unbeatable.
Downside: His Bankai is considered a Broken Bankai, meaning that it's original strength is unreachable. This makes it hard to compete with other Zanpakuto in power, making Mayuri use tricks to supplement and strengthen its actual combat potential.
My Theory of Unohana Bankai is that it makes her enjoy battle for eternity. Making her unkillable and make the world around her a weapon or substance she can manipulate. It's activation is her running her hand across the blade showing she doesn't fear injury or death because she's in complete control and she is her opponents death dealer. Once Kenpachi showed he was no longer bound she releases it and accepts death having survived her "purpose", she desires death so her blade accepts it. Zaraki Bankai is like a variation of hers but instead of being a domain it takes over him as a individual.
2 things that you misunderstood, unohana bankai is instant kill machine, if you read manga her bankai simply mean "an end of all people's lives", and it just keep kill kenpachi the whole time, and heal is not capable to bring people come back to life, did you know that heal, regeneration and revive has a different meanings?
@DeskDown5464 1)Never said her Bankai is instant kill, it gives her instant healing. 2) It enables her to fight for as long as she sees fit, likely restoring even her Reistu. Her enemies eventually meeting an end by her blades from either being outright overpowered by her or she fights them until they exhaust themselves
@@darrius3022
you said "it gives her instant healing" where it stated? on what chapter, can you tell me?
do you ever read bleach colored manga?? also unohana himself said that he will kill kenpachi many times, do you think heal is enough to give someone back to life, if someone get killed the one that they need is revive him not heal him, also her heal capabilities isn't enough, even tenjiro himself said she can even make rukia and renji (who has less damage than kenpachi and byakuya) condition better, you have to remember that, if someone called he cant even do first aid, why you expect he can do surgery? it doesn't make sense at all, and everybody who believe that completely get fooled by kubo.
@DeskDown5464 Do you realize the Anime fight expands on the Manga fight and was directly done by Kubo to insert more of how her Bankai works. She instantly heals, she is in total control of her body and the substance of the domain. She gives her speech which makes more sense with added scenes and content of Manga saying she heals to fight for eternity and learned all forms of healing for that purpose. Swords and powers are extensions of their users and user will for most. Hers know she loves battle, the fight and savoring it. It makes it so she can forever if she chooses.
@@darrius3022no man. She become imposible strong healer and boss of Healing Division, because that was a part of a way her bankai, she need learn crazy strong healing, because her bankai is basiclly liveforce-killing-trap for her and her oponent. Learning the strongest selfhealing spells to combo it with a bankai, was the only way to using it without ending in suicide.
Maan I hope the Hell Arc shows us massive improvements and unseen bankai
I can’t wait to hear Aizen and Urahara say the word BAN KAI, the manga doesn’t do justice. I desperately want to hear it live.
We need more bankais like toshiro tbh, they are usually a domain expansion type technique or a powerhouse. I also wanna ask if you can analyze the so called plot holes or plot armor moments of bleach if possible
"I also wanna ask if you can analyze the so called plot holes or plot armor moments of bleach if possible".
Just me asking this question. Why?
I think personally all forms of media like movies, tv, anime, etc have plot holes. And what might be "plot holes" to some, could be legit reasons to move the story forward and/or add something that was forgotten or need expanded on.
We also know Kubo tends to come back to stuff and expand on them. So...
Just my opinion.
@@babytoshiro7014 it would still be fun to speculate what would they be or what Kubo could've intended
I get you but really it's hard to speculate anything of Kubo intentions. He rarely gives clues and that's a good thing. Because it allows the fans to speculate and he can do things his way.
But I see your reasoning as harmless and fun.@@imperialspy7204
His bankai is lame as shit and he just spams that thing all the time lmao
Toshiro's bankai is a power house type tho and kinda a generic one at that
I thing i like to point out is that ichibeis bankai is not called shinuchi that is the term use for bankai existed in bleach ichibeis bankai name is just Shirafude ichimonji
Not placing Minazuki in the top 10 is nasty work, even though we only got to see a glimpse and the rest is shrouded in mystery. Big up to you bro, I love you channel and the character breakdowns are incredible.
Rukia's Hakka no Togame is so freaking beautiful. My favorite Bankai until Katen Kyōkotsu Karamatsu Shinjū is adapted
Gin did explain how fast his zanpaktu is to Ichigo. I remember him clapping once and asking Ichigo "did he hear that?", then going on to say it's 500 times of that. I know he told aizen that he lied to him about how fast it was, but that doesn't necessarily mean he lied to ichigo, especially knowing he was trying to help Ichigo and not kill him.
Ikkaku's bankai is just Kenpachi's shikai just with extra steps.
Amazing video. I can never pick a favorite Bankai, but i really like Uruhara's
8:13 Ahh sadness. My favorite Bankai is Low.
*Loving the video tho* 🥷🏻🖤
Because kubo has done it a disservice. She needs to stick to her shikai and make that even more powerful.. or have Oetsu create something else.
Spiritual pressure is the best offense and the best defence. High spirit pressure can cut through sword and highest hadou and block cero with bare hands..Ichigo has the highest spiritual pressure plus he can see through illusion. Plus plot armour.
Rukia couldn't move when she used the Bankai because this was the first time she used it, but if her body is in harmony with it and trained, she will be able to move.
Unfortunately her main drawbacks are the backlash and time limit of her bankai. She has average amount of reiatsu. When fighting someone with higher reiatsu level, she is in deep trouble as she will still have to be careful when activating and disactivating her bankai. No matter how much she trains, the amount of time she can stay in bankai form will still not be long.
@@khadz1705 Meh even so let's be real how many actual opponents are going to have a high enough reiatsu to negate it. Her bankai is literally a one shot kill since it's absolute zero. I actually think people down play her. She was chosen by squad 0 and technically actually since most captains die in the thousand year blood war arc she's unironically in the top 5 strongest captains. Yama, unohana and jushiro are all dead leaving shunsui the only person left out of the power 4. Sanjien gets turned into a dog. Gin and tozen are both dead. And thats most of the strong captains. Kenpachi, bukuya, shunsui and toshorio are the only captains that come close to her. Everyone else is significantly weaker than her. You could also argue Mayuri since he has extreme hax and well he's Mayuri he plays 4d chess. But that's it. No one else in the captains have enough power to beat her. And again not a lot of enemies by the end of the series would win against her to.
@@kurtisvandermiller4507 I personally rank her as an above average captain among the 12 captains. She's not weak but not overwhelmingly strong either. She's the type of captain that can fight the enemy army but not the boss. So, she's strong just not too strong.
I just don't like how many fans overestimate her and call her the opposite of Yamamoto. Once I even heard that she could stop time with absolute zero. There are so many headcannonss to empower her that it becomes hilarious.
After seeing TYBWA, i've had this thought that maybe, Unohana's bankai transports herself and her opponents into the stomach of Minazuki (the giant manta ray thing). Hence the almost instantaneous regeneration.
toshiro from 22 to the top 3 is some respect to his bankai :)🤔
Yamamoto's bankai is still underrated in my opinion. Much, if not all, of the battles we have seen him in he has been holding back, fighting quite literally with just one arm. If we ever get to see his battles in the 1st war with the Quincy, perhaps this may change its ranking.
Rip Shusuke Amagai :(
While waiting for Aizen Ukitake Isshin Love etc, I have to say that I agree overall with your reasoning and the most of placements, but not on everything, especially the order of some.
Hakka no Togame is overrated, it's powerful indeed, but I see it as stronger version of Hitsugaya's Hyoten Hyakkaso for the way it's executed. Like that, even if the range is large, any fast opponent can easily get far away from it. As Nodt was almost a non moving target, while Harribel against Toshiro tried (stupidly) to contrast the snowfall. That said, if catched is indeed more deadly, at zero absolute, but if Rukia fails in the one shot, she becomes a super easy target after doing bankai, just a simple attack on her will cause her to crack, suffering very serious consequences. Strong but with high risk, for me out of the top10.
Then you spoke rightly about context, preparations or costs, etc, but l don't get a passage. For the effect itself, the bankai of Kuruyashiki should be one of the strongest. Gagaku Kairo is a sort of temporary Mugetsu, a huge power in one release, that is hinted to be absolute and with an unescapable wide range, but at cost of losing in this case zanpakuto powers for 6 months. Let's add that Kuruyashiki was probably on Zero level, as he was invited to join them, so that's broken and stop, very few in the show will survive to it. Don't get me wrong, I get your reasoning, but then why then place the mature Daiguren Hyorinmaru so high? Like ignoring Hitsugaya has to wait and survive long enough to reach his adult form, as he can't actually enter it directly. That's a great downside, is like a "cost" he needs to pay for the activation itself, and you posed a similar weakness for Mayuri's new bankai. Different in the context, but the same as him, Hitsugaya would not be able to survive long enough against a string opponent that's really aiming to kill him head on (with Gerard he took time as it was a battle royale). So, not worthy of the top3, for how it is, let's speak again in a hundred years
On the other hand, I agree on Hisagi's bankai being so high, because if worked even on Hikone, thousands way stronger that Shuhei, it proves that difference of reiatsu isn't a matter, and he can stall nearly everyone in the verse (stall, drain both reiatsu, but not win).
Last thing, Urozakuro, Azashiro's bankai, another big card that should have been in top10. Now I've read SAFWY a long time ago, but this ability of merge with everything is totally broken, grants to him too many advantages, and has an immense range too. The weakness is that he feels everything and powers that concerns reishi absorption (I recall it was mentioned even Ruriro Kukaku) are dangerous for him in that state, but still, is down the context. Azashiro has a huge reiatsu as well, at point that intervened the Zero the first time. He lost to Zaraki down the context, because the same technique he used to kill Kuruyashiki (merging with his body) didn't work that monster of Zaraki, he left room to him and lost his composure, using also shikai for first time against him. I recall that Aizen said he could have won, if acting differently. That said, the ability of merge with the opponent's body and kill him from the inside is broken, I say that it would be an istakill for the most of characters, as not everyone has the physique of Zaraki, the fluid composition of Mayuri, or an Hogyoku inside them.
PS: even if for the moment I agree on Senjumaru's bankai ranked so high, it's a partial analysis. We still don't know of it has any weakness, but that she will lose is certain. It makes sense to be for the reversal power of Uryu, but we have to see.
I ain't going to nag at you, just very surprised seeing Senbonzakura Kageyoshi at 14 rather than higher. Honestly though, it's really not a matter of it being in the 14th spot negatively as it is more so that the final 15 are just all amazing. Wonderful video!
No but seriously tho the ability to freeze... literally any other abilities kinda insane
I love the fact that they can have multiple versions of shikai and bankai depending on the name they call.
For example, renji can still use his baboon king bankai his true bankai and potentially his serpant king bankai. His old bankai would be great to support and porotect, while his true bankai would be going for the kill.
Which reminds me of old man Yama, as he slightly changed the name of his bankai to get different effects. Its also interesting how different his bankai and shikai names are.
Ichigo was supposedly being groomed into being the soul king which leads me into believing that ichigo's bankai power is something similar to that of the almighty
I actually think this is the best rating i have ever seen and i really agree with it
Bro there is no justifcation to put the old mans bankai at 7th
... it's the incarnation of energy manipulation. Understand that it stores not only unlimited energy, it stores the fundamental concepts of its existence, hence why he can summon and control any opponent he has killed. Realistically, the only reason it's in the 7th spot is because of its overwhelming power, and Yamamoto being handicapped. It's manifestation, if truly unleashed, would incinerate everything. Mature daiguren is the embodiment of entropy, yes, but in effect the basic molecular structure of the victim is preserved, though frozen due to the lack of energy. They just freeze in place. This bankai, on the other hand, theoretically obliterates the molecular structure, absorbing the scope and almost infinite patterns associated with each of its victims energy and replicating it, at will, in mass, coupled with still being able to output enough energy to incinerate anything without adequate shielding in the sereitei... and that's with Yamamoto holding back its power. At no point do we ever actually see it's maximum capacity because it's explained that maximum capacity any plane of existence it's in would be incinerated, or reduced to highly energetic subatomic particles. You can't heal that, there's just nothing left to heal. Yamamoto's under-ranked imo, largely due to his nerfed state and having to constantly hold back because his bankai is indiscriminate in its destruction.
Absolutely insane putting it there.
Zanka No Tachi would burn Hisagi for the eternity, eventually leading him to surrender
It would make impossible for mature toshiro to use his powers
And i think it would also be able destroy Senjumaru bankai, unless a “secret op indestructible that even the sun itself can’t destroy material” exists
I don’t agree with the order of 7 and up, but I can say that I understand why you ranked them the way you did which is nice. Even if I don’t agree with a particular rationale I enjoy being able to follow it and see that it’s reasonable.
The issue is now how do we know characters like Ikkaku Bankai are their "True" bankai or not. Even some of the captains Bankai could later be changed that it isn't their full level and like Ichigo and Renji they may only be using a fraction of its power. I think the true ranking of Bankai is the base power and skill of wielder. For its an extension of them. We see certain things like Soi Fon bankai, which is technically a one hit kill Bankai(an advancement of its two hit kill shikai) not work effectively for a more powerful opponent. Even Shinji Bankai, for example, if he was in triple threat against stronger sternritters, would likely have no or little effect.
Shinji was pretty confident it would. In the night novel, he complains about how the quincy invaded and said that if they had massed outside the seireitei like a normal army, he could have solod almost all of them.
One thing to note though... You're looking at the bankai as weapons against the schutzstaffel/arrancar, but honestly those are things that arent really... what the gotei is for if you think about it.
yes, they're op but going back to basics the captains were most likely expected to fight menos grande, or maybe even large amounts of lesser hollow - which brings up the use of things like Kokujou tengen myou, or even shinji's bankai.
I don't think True Bankai Ichigo should be so low. It can quite literally outmatch the majority of the Bankai you placed above him. Ichibei probably wouldn't work on Ichigo seeing his Reiatsu completely outclassed Ichibei and we all know if your Reiatsu is more powerful than your opponents, you can completely ignore and overpower any haxed abilities of your opponent.
Yeah. I feel that reiatsu wasn't considered for some characters like Ichigo and Byakuya. Otherwise they would rak higher. Rukai too since then she would rak lower.
Not s sure about Ichibei because there are some factors that never really got explained.
For example Yhwach can completely negate it once he opens his eyes even tho his power was already taken which means his Bankai doesnt work on an enemy with higher raiatsu. Yhwach pretty much pulled the same move Aizen did on Soi Fong. Next example would be the Ancient Hollow which he also couldnt fully weaken but instead sealed in a sword. So its very save to assume that Ichibeis Bankai can be overpowered which means its useless agains:
- Ichigo
- Kenpachi (Bankai)
- Yhwach (Awakened)
- Aizen
- The Ancient Hollow
Ichibei is the strongest overall Shinigami yes however against those special extreme cases he is a sitting duck. Those 5 are literally walking disasters that can change the fate of the entire Bleach Universe on their own.
Take a shot every time he says bankai
Two for shikai
May god help you with the eventual alcohol poisoning
Realistically, i kinda feel the False Tensa Zangetsu is one of the weakest in terms of variety and abilities cause all it really does is increase Ichigo's already innate strength and speed, which lets him pretty much just brute force every fight he's in. Getsuga Tensho isn't even a Bankai thing, Ichigo isn't the only one to use it and he constantly uses it OUTSIDE of Bankai.
Yeah, it allows Ichigo to beat 99% of his opponents, but that's more of an "Ichigo is just that strong" thing.
I’m more surprised there’s 30 known bankai. I could swear we didn’t even reach double digits until TYBW
15 were revealed prior to TYBW. That I can remember at least.
This video came out 5 months ago and i havent seen one comment praising how much research this man put into this video, only people bashing his rankings or saying how he didnt mention some things
As far as I understood the story, Unohana's bankai does not heal her. The blood is corrosive, and affects her as well. That's why she, a unhinged killer, had to learn how to heal. She needs to sustain her body in order to not kill herself. During her fight with Zaraki, she sustains both of them, until the point when she is certain he has fully unlocked his dormant power. Then she stops her bankai, and just doesn't heal herself afterwards. She lets herself be killed, in order to pass the title to him. This is how she punishes herself for restraining him in the first place.
That's at least how I interpret it and understand it.
People tend to put her leagues below Zaraki because he killed her after recovering his true strenght, but in reality she probably just exhausted her whole reiatsu in the middle of trying to recover his strenght because she was fighting him seriously while using her reiatsu to heal him more than a hundred times. She was a beast, weaker than him but not that much.
@@LucasS204 Yeah, agreed
Now That Kenpachi has embraced his Zanpakto and attained shikai/Bankai. and Ikkaku is officially Liutenant of squad 11 All Squad 11 should work to master shikai and bankai.
Tosen can still hear when he’s using his Bankai so technically Rose’s Bankai would still work on him
The key thing you missed is that Yama knew Kenpachi Zaraki upper limit and still said he was above them in Spirit Power… the only one with more spiritual pressure is Yhwach, Spirit King, Evolved Aizen, Ichibe (debatable), Ichigo (also debatable).
Imma be honest Gins Bankai is way better than Kenpachis
Its fast, One shots and doesnt impact the area like rukias
So you can use it in Team Fights
Its far better than kenpachi
Ikkaku is someone who would benefit so much for going up with Squad zero
It's one thing for his Bankai to be weak but now it's even weaker than it was before
It's not weak. He was weak.
His Bankai is immense destructive power and gradually becomes even stronger throughout the battle. The only weakness is that the blades are fragile. Making me think they are very rigid with no give. Like a weapon made of titanium instead of steel. So it's only a weakness that can be exploited by somone significantly stronger.
Moreover, superficial damage has never been an issue with Bankai. So if he'd simply kept the damage to chips and cracks rather than completely shattering, he probably would have been fine.
At this point, Ilkaku could only blame himself for fighting somone above his pay grade and being too weak.
Hisagi being at #4 came as a shock to me, throughout the video i was getting hella confused as to why Hisagi wasn't there especially when you got to #5 and i saw Ichigos True Bankai, at that point i thought you'd forgotten about Hisagi. Then suddenly hearing Hisagis at #4 above ICHIGO?! However after your explanation it became clear as to why you put him there and honestly i'm hella happy about it. CFYOW was one of the best Novels I've ever read and Hisagi was such a great character.
Anyway, great video, keep up the good work 💯🔥
I'm curious as well so if it's a stalemate how does he defeat anyone?
@@22s22aHe either drains the shared Reiatsu pool to the point where the enemy is a shell of their former selves, making it easy for a comrade of Shuhei's to take them down. Another, more dire option, is for Shuhei to kill himself, stealing away the Reiatsu pool and killing his enemy in the process.
However, the first option is obviously way more better and reasonable. That's why this Bankai works best when fighting overpowered enemies, like Yhwach and the Schutzstaffel/Jugram, as DBZirman said, because you get the all the benefits of their Reiatsu without any risk of dying to them if you used a normal power like most others.
@@22s22a He could always mentally break them down through the pain.
Ichigo's true bankai supposedly breaks fate as its hax. I guess he'll win against Hisagi no matter what.
I believe Kenpachi Zuraki's Bankai name very may well be: Yachiru Kusajishi, aka the name of his Lieutenant who is implied to be the spirit of his Zanpakto which is why he can't turn off his Shikai form and because he has such great love for her as being what amounts to her guardian and thusly, he can't turn it off.
It's not that he clashes with the Spirit of the Blade, more like he loves the Spirit too much and isn't fully unaware, but more of a subconscious understanding that if he were to ever release his Bankai, that she'd disappear into his blade forevermore and she's one of the few people that he not only likes, but loves in the anime and manga. (Ignoring any filler arcs ofc.)
So yeah, I think his Bankai is Yachiru Kusajishi (in terms of the name) unless I'm forgetting a line in the Bloodwar Arc that I missed/didn't hear.
11:08 shinji bankai is great vs hollows and strong hollows but thats basically it. its specifically for mass 1 vs everyone situations like shown in the anime. its not a rare situation that it would be strong just bad for dualing which the anime is mostly about.
Am I wrong on this? I thought his bankai could alter any perception of his foe? Can’t he make it so people don’t know up from down and left from right? I thought his whole thing was to disorient people?
@dunnson1478 his bankai makes you view all allies as enemies and enemies as allies and if you figure it out it changes them again and again so you either don't do anything or attack everything. it cant be used against someone specifically tho.
3:10 Bankai is literally your weapon getting stronger. The only ones making the user stronger are of those with hidden inner potential, like Ichigo, Kenpachi and Toshiro.
Hearing your explanation of what happens after kurayashiki uses his bankai kinda explains why he was invited to the zero division. If he couldnt use any of his zanpakuto abilities he prolly created something to substitute for that. Or it could just be that he was that strong so the wanted him to join.
He was the one who created the seated officer system structure in gotei 13 Making it more militaristic like in modern times.
He was also a captain for centuries, a Kenpachi during that entire time as well.
considering how kurayashiki powers work it seems it would be a perfect fit for the unusual powers of the Zero Squad
Its crazy to think Aizen is not on this list...... I am starting to think he doesn't use it cause it nerfs him somehow
I think his bankai allow him to create a simulation of the future. And since it’s his simulation he’s able to see and be everywhere at once. The simulation play-outs as a perfect replica to the real timeline. Which is why everything goes to plan with aizen.
It’s a nerf if you choose to do something different from what you did in the simulation.
Bankai is a trump card. Why'd he use it if he didn't need it?
I think when cour 3 and 4 come out they probably either gonna explain how aizen fusing with his zanpaktou just made him dont have a bankai anymore or the outcome I hope is aizen using his bankai
Bleach version of the sharingan infinite sukiomi
Kuruyashiki's bankai was actually never seen in the light novels and even in brave souls that was his shikai not bankai. But according to Azashiro his bankai could have killed him so that Urazakuro's hax would not work on it.
As much as I admire and appreciate you commentary, I urge you to pay attention to the double comparatives and superlatives that you throw in here and there, such as "most mightiest" and more deadlier "
I'd like to think that Ikkaku has only scratched the surface of his Bankai's true power or he only knows how to summon a flawed version of it, same as Renji did for a time.
Technically Tossen is the greatest challange to Aizens Kyouka suigetsu since he can't see his shikai release
He can though, with reikaku, spirit pressure sense. We learned this from Barragan. A literal skeleton that Aizen put under KS
But let's be honest, Ikkaku Madarame's BAN-KAI is one of the most memorable BANKAI revels. It's simply a really cool display
BANKAIYEEEAAAAAH
Perhaps thats not Ikaku's Bankai's Full Power 🤔
maybe Hozukimaru relationship with Ikkaku is similar to Zabimaru relationship with Renji prior to his training in Soul King Palace but properly worse. Hozukimaru doesn't respect Ikkaku and therefore give him a fake bankai to used. maybe this is the reason why he has such a weak Bankai and his zanpakuto is easily broken due to the fact that Hozukimaru never respect and properly outright hated Ikkaku.
About Zanka no Tachi and its 4 main abilities, the first ability is to concentrate the fire of his shikai to his blade. At this time the manga stated that the heat produced from this was the same as the heat of the sun. Back then Captain Hitsugaya comments that he could not use any of his ice powers because of the heat. That was the pre-aged captain, however the distance between them was huge. At that time, all moisture in soul society evaporated and even captain unohana commented that Yamamoto should finish his fight before the soul society was destroyed.
On to Yamamoto's reiatsu, in the manga after Yamamoto released his bankai, Haschwald says that the fire seen enveloping Yamamoto was not actually there as the temperature was too high for there to be fire around. He also added that the fire being seen was as a result of the immense reiatsu that the captain commander was emitting.
Also let us not forget that Ywach saw it better to steal Yamamoto's bankai rather than fight him with it so he must have thought it was threatening to him.
Not all characters in bleach can regenerate their ears like mask de masculine. Kinshara Butodan needs to be a lot higher.
You don't need to rip your ears off, when you can put on noise cancelling headphones and fight lol
Kinshara Butodan is a strong Bankai, if only the user stopped explained his power to his opponent.
Apparently sound waves can only be percieved by ears...
I disagree with some of your picks, but I respect your efforts in making this video.
Aizen in his chair laughing saying I don't even need a bankai and I'd still win
This is not a Bankai tier list , this is a Bankai wielders tier list
I shit you not, when you said let's get to number 30 I instantly said Ikakku then I started freaking out cuz it was him fr😂😂😂
you deserve more subscribers man.
I think you forgot to consider Byakuya's reiatsu level. There's no way Rukia's bankai would be stronger than that of Byakuya when considering their reiatsu level. Byakuya is a noble with extremely high reiatsu with can negate Rukia's abilities. I think byakuya should be higher than Rukia due to experience, reiatsu level and overall abilities. It doesn't make sense that Rukia's bankai is stronger than Byakuya when byakuya has higher reiatsu. Higher reiatsu means that he might not be affected by Rukia's cold.
That's only applicable if the difference is massive like aizen to soifon kind of different.
@@DRASERUS but it is massive. Byakuya is a noble with very high reiatsu. Rukia may have the kushiki surname but she's not a noble. Her reiatsu is average or slightly higher than average. Byakuya was standing in her area of effect without being harmed before she withdrew her bankai. He only got his hands slightly frozen when he touched her.
The only people who came from rukongai but had extremely high reiatsu were those hailed as geniuses. Author has been very consistent when it came to the potential of shinigamis. Nobles are a tier higher than others excluding geniuses like Gin and Toshiro. Even Ichigo is not spared from that. Ichigo had massive reiatsu because his dad is from from Shiba noble house and his mum is also from a quincy noble house.
@@khadz1705still nope Byakuya had to go bankai against Robert who is pretty much a fodder at that time if the difference is that big then there's no point in going bankai
Edit: also i just remembered that kid rukia has high reiatsu and that's her as a kid
@@DRASERUS Byakuya is in the top 5 spots after the war. He fought with Zaraki and Toshiro against Gerald. Where was Rukia at that time? Running away from the blasts. The opponents they faced were different in levels which shows the shinigami's strengths. Gerald is so much stronger than Asnot. You're telling me one of the top 5 captains after the war is lower ranked than Rukia, the newbee captain?!
Author has been very consistent in making sure experience and older shinigamis are stronger than younger ones. The few exceptions to this are those called geniuses like Gin, Toshiro, Aizen...
Well, whatever. I am not here to start a debate thread with you. Think what you want. It doesn't change the fact that the majority of the fan base has estimated Rukia to be weaker than Byakuya.
@@khadz1705 well yes weaker but not heaven and earth difference as you thought both is talented both trained together idk why you downplaying rukia like that and Byakuya is not top 5 literally squad 0 members alone fill that up
i feel like rukia's bankai should be ranked a little lower given the fact we havent seen its full potential yet..and we dont know if it will be stronger than the light of Byakuya's Senbonzakura Kageyoshi..overall..awesome job man
I don't understand why you'd say shinjis bankai is useless 1:1. An enemy would still see him as a friend when he activated it, so his enemy would stand there trusting him until he stabbed him. Sounds pretty decent 1:1 to me
Shinji said it doesn’t work on 1v1s in the novel
This seems fair, but I thought Shinji isn't necessarily immune to his own power in Bankai? The cocoon that manifests around him serves as protection from the area effect, but it also more than likely limits his mobility entirely. So in a 1-1 he can't harm his opponent until he releases his bankai and concurrently the technique influencing his foe, getting him back to square 1. Maybe this is just my head canon...
Yea he states himself his bankai only works when there multiple people around cause his sword is just stubborn like that
This video also is, in a sort of round about way, also explaining why the characters tend to use other means besides just bankai to win their fights like kido and such.
Not all bankais are available for every situation. Some, like ikkakus are quite cumbersome and risky to use. Others like kenpachis can exert tremendous strain on the user themselves.
Soifon's bankai should be ranked higher.
Despite not being effective against particularly fast enemies, it would be deadly against large enemy groups, as well as big structures and large foes.
Also, it's never stated how fast the missile actually flies. Because story-wise it finds its target each time Soifon launches it. So it might be safe to assume it's not easy to outrun it.
As well as its actual damage on impact remains unknown, since her target was either Barragan, who was shown to be a power house almost impossible to kill by conventional measures, or BG9 who repaired itself using his abilities.
video was amazing, as always.
I have one gripe with it tho.
i cant see how rukias was so far ranked ahead of toshiros when they both share the same weakness. rukia can freeze to absolute zero, but the draw backs are her mobility as well as her own body not being able to handle it. toshiro on the other hand, his mature bankai's only real flaw is that it takes time to devlop. mature bankai toshiro had feats against a stonger gerard valkrie when compared to BANKAI KENPACHI whom you ranked in the top 10 (fair enough). Toshiro also has flash freeze which can be argued to be a more efficient ability than rukias absolute zero due to it completly disabling the abilities of his opponents. and due to him being able to move around freely, it is equally just as good of an ability as absolute zero.
my main issue is that when you compare the pros and cons of rukias and toshiros bankais respectively, they are definitely at the absolute bare minimum, relative to each other. if you are going to rank toshiro so low due to his inexperience with the bankai and the fact that it has flaws due to him being inexperienced, why isnt rukia rated around his level for the EXACT SAME reasons.
U the big g of bleach content tho much love and respect
