This level crossing is located on the Pakenham line, near the former General Motors Station. Both Suburban EMUs and DMUs run through this crossing at a top speed of 115 km/h.
The crossing equipment includes:
- Westinghouse Incandescent Lights (Silver, marked and unmarked)
- WRRS Crossarms
- 2 General Signals Type 2 E-Bells
- Westinghouse Boom Gate Mechanisms
- 2 Unmarked bases
As of publishing, this crossing has been listed as one of the level crossings to be removed by the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), which will be done by removing and closing off this crossing entirely, while constructing a new bridge over the Eumemmerring Creek to link up to Fowler Rd, to maintain access to the isolated side of Progress Street. This is expected to to be done by next year (2025.)

Yeah, I was suprised as it was the first time I had seen them before, so I would say they’re pretty rare. I was honestly just expecting the crossing to have the usual Westinghouse crossarms, lights, etc
