Been playing console Battlefield since BC2 and this game just feels absolutely awful to control and always has. Idk what they did under the hood to make it impossible to aim properly, but it's bad. Everything just feels wrong.
I’m not the biggest battlefield player but I’ve messed around since battlefield 4, I’ve been a fps gamer since I was 11, for 14 years and this game feels so shit on controller and that’s all I’ve used. Probably the worst aiming I’ve ever felt. I’m about to download 2042 again and try it out so hopefully it feels better

These settings have completely changed the game for me. Makes it feel somewhat like the older BFs. Highly recommend this for anyone struggling on controller. RIP Jordy
I found in console that my stick settings have to be kinda high in order for me to get a good snap or follow players down the scope. And the AA settings doesn't seem to matter on console. It's like we're aiming 100% on our own. I'm still find tuning. But I've tried everything PC keyboard and PC controller streamer settings. Just aren't there for the console. I tried full default, but I always get eaten alive. I know PC usually it the better gaming experience. But I'm not trying to beat the best PC players online. Im just trying to decent scores and not get eaten up every match. I'm not sure if the updates lean towards PC players, but it definitely doesn't help us console players. Lol 😂
no matter what mix i use... i don't get rid of the delay kinda thing... CoD feels way better, exp. with the "linear reactioncurve" setting... it's just one setting i can turn ON or OFF and the main sensitivity bar i have to adjust to get a perect feeling/sense. in 2042 are so many different sense bars and settings but the delay on the right stick stays... how is that even possible...
Thats the main reason i uninstall its game over again.Does not matter what i change how i do,delay is there on the right stick.Aim assist literally does not work..delay is on the right stickyeven if u turn down the deadzone to zero.Complete disaster this game is.
Any tips on controller aiming coming from a PC only player? I’m pretty good on 2042 on my PC, and I’ve played shooters almost my entire life strictly on PC, but lately I’ve been playing more and more on my PS5 and wanna start playing more. I just have such a hard time controlling aim, it feels heavy and sluggish.
When I switched I first started with off-line shooters to get the hang of the controller, then spent some time in the shooting range of the fps I was playing. This helped me a lot!
I recently got the elite 2 controller of which I tweaked in the accessories app and I was doing pretty well in BF 42 but I've recently found what I'm inputting into the controller just isn't matched so I've followed this guide and hopefully this will sort my issue out as I'm sure it will take a little while to get used too but I'm hoping this fixes my sniping issues
Question: Having Hybrid optics with toggle zoom bound to spotting seems like it might get annoying. Do you just avoid using them? If you're using them to you not spot, or spot whilst not ADS?
I have my cycle weapon on L1 and then I have my secondary on triangle for certain encounters. And I didn't like having to hold L1 and down for fire rate so I switched that to just down. But one thing this game has me doing and that's learning a whole new controller mapping I'm not to mad about it.
I do not understand what the axial deadzone is about? I tried default 15 and also 0. I did not feel any difference. Central Deadzone you feel the difference immediatly.
Axial deadzone is to do with aiming diagonally. So if the value is at 15, and you want to aim perfectly left, but don't push the stick perfectly left, it will help you there. With it being at 0, it makes aiming a little harder, but you give yourself more control for finer adjustments. So once you get used to it, it will become a lot easier to make smaller adjustments for left/right and diagonal aiming
GREAT VIDEO i copied everything to just get the feel then when i felt it was to much i lowered what i needed to be lowered and i found the right setup i do struggle a lil when i get down and my person crying for help and the sensitivity on crack lol looking everywhere

@@Jordy1-1 I switched my settings the same you have , sensitivity a lot lower 😅 running around at 13 sensitivity and the zoom around 32 . I’ve had some good matches and some bad but by times it still feels or to slow or to fast at the same time . But quit easier to handle now
I have my controls _completely_ different to this and they work fine. So much of getting better comes down to muscle memory with slight tweaks over time. There are no perfect controller settings, everyone is different, what works for one may not work for another - copying someone else's settings is pointless 🤷🏻♂️

You have grenade on X, jump on L2, scope toggle on R2 - which clashes with the spotting button - how is that 'perfect'? 😏🤷🏻♂️.. that works for you fair enough but perhaps not for the majority of others....just sayin''. Tbf, the UI design, menu navigation and controller mappings are terrible - the stupidest thing the devs did was bind weapon swap and xbar hold to the _same_ button - they should have made these separate options (To allow xbar and eg. grenade on the same button). Another mistake was binding the specialist gadget hold option to left d-pad only with no way to change - who thought that up?🤦
@@yootchoobe the left handed argument is a bit far fetched. I've been playing controller since I was six, and I've never seen or heard of anyone that aims with the left stick. Spotting clashing with toggle scope is fine, there aren't many guns that are useful with hybrid scopes anyway, plus spotting is mostly done outside of ads. Plus you can re-bind the specialist gadget to whatever you want to

It definitely feels better, it's just the controller input itself now that feels bad. You notice when you switch back to bf5 or bf1 then come back to 2042. 2042 just generally feels much worse
don't have a cronus. Done handcams before, controller unplugged. the amount of hate you have to comment on a settings guide that is aimed to help people who may be confused by settings is insane. Considering you've commented quite fast means you are either subbed to hate, or legit look out for my videos, which is quite sad. I just want to help people get better at battlefield so they can enjoy their experience more and this video has nothing to do with my individual skill at all. Maybe if you payed attention to the guides I have done and took notes, your recoil control could also improve

I took a long break from gaming and I used to be very good when battlefield one came out but now I’m trash and I wanted to get back into battlefield and I was looking for Xbox controller setups and this was the first one and I find out that he died last month….such a shame I never watched jordys content but to respect a fellow gamer I shall use this set up and hopefully it does me justice. I’ve just started playing 2042 on ps5 and got to say the default controller settings are awful! Checked out your settings vid and man did it help a lot, so thanks! Still took me a while to find settings I like, so definitely hope into his aim trainer and tinker away! One thing I struggled with the most is finding the right ADS sensitivity. ADSing this is game feels so off, especially compared to cod. One thing that helped my ADS dramatically is using Uniform Solider aiming. Now there seems to be quite a bit of debate on what you should set it to, but after playing around with different coefficient sens, i do think it’s best to set it to whatever aspect ratio your playing on. For instance, I’m on a 55’ TV and setting coefficient from default 133 to 178(best for 16:9 aspect ratio apparently) my aim feels great now. On the default 133 ADS felt okay, but something still felt off, like it started off slow , but sped up really quickly while trying to snap onto another target. At 178 I can snap onto targets and track players so much easier and it feels a lot smoother. You don’t have to use USA , but that means you will have to manually change each scope sensitivity to your liking. With it on your scopes feel more inline with each other. Keep up the great content dude!

I have a problem. I switched my aim & fire buttons from L2 / R2 to L1 & R1 - somebody on TH-cam said it was faster & I think it probably is. Problem I’ve got is when I use the SOFLAM & target a vehicle to be tagged with L1; it won’t let me. Already holding L1 to use the soflam I’ve the same issue when playing ShutDown mode. I can pick up the flag thing with Square (or whatever it is) but I can’t plant it - which is L1 & R1 Is there a way I can fix this without going back to default settings with my aim & fire being the slightly delayed back triggers Many many thanks if you can help
On my series s the game feels like the last gen version where its supper sluggish when shooting, the new update has genuinely ruinned the game as it feels like shit and isn't enjoyable i never had an issue with the next gen version up until this update
I agree, very sluggish movement. Hopefully some tweaks will make it feel more smooth. But i found on everything on default its just terrible, so you have to mess around abit to find a comfortable ratio.
For Plus system I use RT for sights, Left and Right bumpers for Barrels and Ammo, and LT for Underbarrels. That way I can move and can switch attachments independent.
idk if any one else is kinda confuzed with this game on the ps5 but i recently obtained a ps5 and bought this game and im able to set my deadzone for my aiming stick "right stick" to 0 and it dosnt move without me touching it so basically no stick drift. im having a hard time finding a good sens i go for 3 and it feels weird so i kinda feel lost. also feels like when i play against players i get absolutly demolished by pc players if i play with cross play on and ive turned it off a couple times and the wait to join a match is like 10 mins. any one else getting the same type of issue when it comes to console.
For auto through grande I do keep it on, and it works both ways. You press button and you take it out, then you can through. Or you hold it to take and through straight away

Brah, since 2042 is free on PlayStation, I gave it a try... But how the hell can people play that with a controller XD I'm getting rekt so hard, it hurts lmao! Yes I suck so hard on console...
You can go to your actual console settings and swap the inputs of L1/R1 and L2/R2; however, the catch is, when playing something else i.e. story game then those inputs are swapped as well, so you'll need to change it every time. This is what I do; keep the aim and shoot on L2/R2, but swap them in console settings

Having the deadzone as low as possible before getting stickdrift is a wide spread misconception. It is totally personal preference. For me having a low dz completly fucks up my aim. Makes me underadjust a lot cause the sticks are way to sensitive.

Using🔺and Dpad to cycle attachments makes it challenging to move and modify your weapon at once

Hello! How do I get BF2042 to recognize the controller is the one from PS4? (It shows the xbox one in the settings, but you have the PS one)

I agree, very sluggish movement. Hopefully some tweaks will make it feel more smooth. But i found on everything on default its just terrible, so you have to mess around abit to find a comfortable ratio.

For Plus system I use RT for sights, Left and Right bumpers for Barrels and Ammo, and LT for Underbarrels. That way I can move and can switch attachments independent.

idk if any one else is kinda confuzed with this game on the ps5 but i recently obtained a ps5 and bought this game and im able to set my deadzone for my aiming stick "right stick" to 0 and it dosnt move without me touching it so basically no stick drift. im having a hard time finding a good sens i go for 3 and it feels weird so i kinda feel lost. also feels like when i play against players i get absolutly demolished by pc players if i play with cross play on and ive turned it off a couple times and the wait to join a match is like 10 mins. any one else getting the same type of issue when it comes to console.
Any advise as how to flip fire from R2 to R1 and aiming from L2 to L1

For auto through grande I do keep it on, and it works both ways. You press button and you take it out, then you can through. Or you hold it to take and through straight away
Hi matey,,,I think I need help with my control settings I messed them up a bit, before I done that my settings were bang on then I messed around as if I knew what I was doing not lol,,,i don't like the drift I have on a brand new wired controller I bought today 2/2/23 both l & r stick i just can't focus on whatever I'm aiming at I have to control it a bit before I shoot it's like I stop at the corner but my character goes past the corner & gets shot😎

You can go to your actual console settings and swap the inputs of L1/R1 and L2/R2; however, the catch is, when playing something else i.e. story game then those inputs are swapped as well, so you'll need to change it every time. This is what I do; keep the aim and shoot on L2/R2, but swap them in console settings

@@Jordy1-1 your welcom i have problem with r3 it runs to fast when i am using the r3 to kill the enemy if it deadzone r3 i shall try to slow it down mukks to my preference
Having the deadzone as low as possible before getting stickdrift is a wide spread misconception. It is totally personal preference. For me having a low dz completly fucks up my aim. Makes me underadjust a lot cause the sticks are way to sensitive.
