Battlefield 1 movement mechanics and gunplay is no where near bf5's. BF5 is just BF1 but with better movement and gunplay. The grittiness and atmosphere of BF1 was lacking in BF5.
TBH it pains me watching him slander and play the older BF games like BF2 and Vietnam not understanding they are older titles and comparing them to newer games. Spray firing and being shocked that you aren't hitting anything.
battlefield 4 is the only game ive seen with a first person counter melee animation, man was 15yo me so hyped when i pulled off a counter, time flies. 😭
Battlefield 1 is GOATed. Sadly, the first guy you went for was a sentry with armor and way more HP than standard hit points. The TTK in this game feels excellent. Sniping is broken, as well as everything else in some way. Also, go to server list and pick your own custom server and you will have no problems finding matches + wonderful thriving community of loyalists.
Bf2 was my masterpiece... came out 21 years ago and it was hilarious for that time. I was in love with the grafics and combining fights between infantry,helis and jets...so sad its been more than 20 years...

For battlefield 1, if you want active servers. Use filters Conquest and Operations and choose Slots None, 1-5, and 5-10. There will be a bunch of full server available for you to play and enjoy! Bf1 had 17,000 Active players in the last 24 hours

It was an interesting game, but I kinda feel like the Battlefield name hurt that game. When people hear Battlefield they expect huge maps with vehicles and basically a mini combined warfare conflict, not R6 Siege battledield edition. I get that the studio wanted the pull force of the franchise name but that game really should have been it's own thing not a BF game.

"Underrated"? It's literally one of the most popular FPS franchises ever and it was CoD's main competitor at one point. It's just that the series has been extremely mismanaged. It's underrated now because they fucked up BF5s launch and when it got good, they abandoned it, and BF2042 was BAD when it launched. Also, we already had a SciFi one with 2142.

There is one thing I learned in battlefield and in war…this is too all cod warzone players….war is not about movement or having the right optics….war is about strategy….war is about the courage you develop to fight for your country…war is not about sliding or having weapon skins stuff like that etc. war is about survival its about it’s about conflict between nations it’s about fighting till death… its not about having optic its about setting the record straight and know what your doing….its not about movement especially…war is about strategy and our braveness and courage meant …..it’s conflict …

That BF3 and BF4 era was the definition of battlefield. Those 2 games are what a battlefield game should be. BF3 is my personal favorite but I consider BF4 to be the best, it was the one that improved on what battlefield 3 did good, eventhough I think that BF3 was better in terms of maps. Also loved BF1 and for me it's the last great battlefield, but still never reached the same feeling I got from those 2 games.
The thing about hardline is that it was definitely really good when everyone was online and the story is also a very good aspect of the game if you ever decide to play a story mode for battle field I recommend hardline
battlefield 2142 was a legend. They did a lot of new things that got skipped through BC and ended up seeing in later generations. Wish we would get a remake of it .
as someone who is a BF and COD fan BF has always had a special place in my heart you had to be there to experience the games when they had massive player bases they were all good
5:17 try modes like Breakthrough and Rush, soooo much better than Conquest aha. If I had to put it into Cod terms, Breakthrough is like Hardpoint but with 2 secure points, and Rush is basically just Demolition. Both OBJ modes play so much faster paced than Conquest, and just simply the better modes. Conquest is okay on some maps but dreadful on others.

I love cod but man I had so many hours on bf4 that game was perfect to me, bf1 was also one of my favorite battlefields with bf3 not far behind. Bf2042 has actually turned into a pretty good game, the issues it had at the beginning put a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouth, I couldn’t even play the game on pc for the first year the game was out.
there are another 3 battlefield game: 1. Battlefield Heroes (Browser game, dead, but i think a community tries to reboot this) 2. Battlefield Play4Free (Shutdown by EA, pretty much BF2 with microtransactions) 3. Battlefield Modern Combat (X360, PS2 exclusive, an open ended campaign pretty similar to Condition Zero i think)
I used to play bf1942 semi professionally back in 2003 and I can tell you that Kursk is not a beginners map as it’s a cqb type map. At the start, you need to sprint to a plane or jeep and haul azz to secure a flag in the middle then a tank will spawn right away, so you need to be quick and already know your short cuts and techniques.
Battlefield 1942 is one of my favorite games to play growing up. Midway, Omaha, Berlin, Iwo Jima, all wonderful maps to play on and nothing but the best memories growing up and getting into some aerial dog fights in the sky.
Battlefield 3 was peak for me. Every game after that just felt more and more arcade-y, and now we have 2042 thats just a full blown arcade shooter that feels nothing like what Battlefield used to be. My only exception was BF1, just because that game was a masterpiece
As a BF fan -2042 was a disaster, all they needed was BF4 with modern graphics! BF4 was epic. BF1 was fantastic - 128 player modes felt like all out war. Bad company 1 single player was a masterpiece, second one was ok. Both in multiplayer were great too. Bad company deserves comeback with number 3, but without recent BF failures! Take the best of both and make third one with epic graphics. Simple formula for success!

They just feel ancient and the servers are dead but at the time they were ground breaking. 1942 was the first to have the huge sandbox with infantry, tanks, jets etc. It was incredible at the time but it was slow. Battlefield 2 was really next level and basically set the blueprint for games of today. At the time it was a graphical masterpiece and we all spent thousands to play it at high gfx. I remember trying out SLI 7800 GT :) Again it had huge sandbox but the maps were designed so infantry could still have fun and the vehicles could do their thing. It was the first game to have in game voip and a commander role so team play was a first and it was epic. I remember flying around mashtuur city in a black hawk with a squad full of friends talking shit and having fun. This game was also played competitively and my 'clan' (not me tho) flew to Taipei to play in the World Champs. Since then there have been plenty of great Battlefields but the formula has remained much the same as BF2 just with better graphics and destruction. Nothing will ever capture the imagination like the first battlefields though. We are just so used to it now.
with battlefield 1 timing is key. At the right times, the game can be popping off. Also operations mode is super fun to play as it feels like all out war
Man… bf3 is like the masterpiece of all bfs…. Is game changing. Above all cod. I’m military and we use to have an special ribbon as veterans. We literally use war strategy on that game. When it was launched was amazing.
bf1943 was the first one i played. it was definitely the most “arcade-y” bf ever but it was a lot of fun. I didn’t play another bf until bf4 but 1943 gave me a lot of good memories
Bad Company 2 is still alive on PC through Nexus BFBC2 servers, i still play it every day and there is always full servers online. Best BF game ever made.
BF3 was magical. I loved the gunplay, maps, weapons, vehicles, knife fights, sniper duels, jet ramming, C4/Claymore ramming, and of course the crouch to prone t-bag that looks like you're doing....the snuggle struggle 😄

There’s nothing like Bad company 2 multiplayer ! They haven’t been able to recapture that since it came out. If you still want to play it the servers are still active on pc through a third party and it should take 5-10 min to setup with a quick tutorial on TH-cam.
BF2, BF2142 and Bad Company used to be my favourites. Here is a few fun things in them: 2 had commander mode, where 1 player per team could take the role of a commander and view the game in a top-down map view, issue orders to squads and send in helpful assets like UAVs, arty strikes, supply packages, etc. 2142 had a special mode (I think it was called Titan mode) which was kinda like conquest except both sides had a massive spaceship parked above their spawn that had a bunch of turrets and had an actual interior because you could board the enemy titan and destroy it from the inside to secure the win. Bad Company if I remember correctly was the first BF game with a destructible environment and I learned it the hard way. In one of the campaign missions you get attacked by a tank, so my first instinct was to run into a nearby house. Thinking I was safe I tried to heal up only to hear a massive explosion, see the wall in front of me crumble and realize I'm staring at the wrong end of a tank barrel, it was at that moment I fell in love with that game.

Most hate for Hardline was mostly because of this mode (and for not being another BF like everyone go used to) so this rating (even from you!) would've been much higher if you played any other mode. It's personal fav of mine then BF2 and then Vietnam
The problem you had with the bullet spread in battlefield 2 and 2142 can be easily fixed by crouching or going prone, and all bf2 and bf2142 players know that you just had to ask. The modding community in the other hand created such masterpieces outta the game and are gonna be more fun for you imo. Also the multiplayer is still available after ea shutdown the servers using a revival project called bf2hub(idk if bf2142 have its community servers ngl)but the bots on veteran to expert mode are still very challenging you can still enjoy the gameplay experience even offline (some mods try to improve the ai even further... it's very hard tho-_-)

This game was also played competitively and my 'clan' (not me tho) flew to Taipei to play in the World Champs.
Since then there have been plenty of great Battlefields but the formula has remained much the same as BF2 just with better graphics and destruction. Nothing will ever capture the imagination like the first battlefields though. We are just so used to it now.
visually bf1 is stunning even by today's standards. this game couldve released in 2024 and people would not complain about the graphics
Fun fact - 2042 had COD Devs help work on the game development so it feels very arcade like and similar to COD
with battlefield 1 timing is key. At the right times, the game can be popping off. Also operations mode is super fun to play as it feels like all out war
Man… bf3 is like the masterpiece of all bfs…. Is game changing. Above all cod. I’m military and we use to have an special ribbon as veterans. We literally use war strategy on that game. When it was launched was amazing.
bf1943 was the first one i played. it was definitely the most “arcade-y” bf ever but it was a lot of fun. I didn’t play another bf until bf4 but 1943 gave me a lot of good memories

Bad Company 2 is still alive on PC through Nexus BFBC2 servers, i still play it every day and there is always full servers online. Best BF game ever made.
BF3 was magical. I loved the gunplay, maps, weapons, vehicles, knife fights, sniper duels, jet ramming, C4/Claymore ramming, and of course the crouch to prone t-bag that looks like you're doing....the snuggle struggle 😄
I never Played Battlefield Before.....I tried someday in a gaming cafe....The Guy Had Bad Company 2 Installed on the XBOX 360....And I was A bit confused While Playing....I cameback home Booted Up My 360 for Some World at war....but the thought of me Buying A Battlefield Game Has Been Haunting me Ever Since....Great Vid Btw Maybe U should Try Revisiting Old Fps like Doom....
2142 was one of my favorite games growing up. The walkers and the titans were so fkin cool to me. If that ever got a remaster id cry
There’s nothing like Bad company 2 multiplayer ! They haven’t been able to recapture that since it came out. If you still want to play it the servers are still active on pc through a third party and it should take 5-10 min to setup with a quick tutorial on TH-cam.
Battlefield 1943 was THE BEST Battlefield in the game imo. And I'm actually so devestated they shut down its servers...😢
BF2, BF2142 and Bad Company used to be my favourites. Here is a few fun things in them:
2 had commander mode, where 1 player per team could take the role of a commander and view the game in a top-down map view, issue orders to squads and send in helpful assets like UAVs, arty strikes, supply packages, etc.
2142 had a special mode (I think it was called Titan mode) which was kinda like conquest except both sides had a massive spaceship parked above their spawn that had a bunch of turrets and had an actual interior because you could board the enemy titan and destroy it from the inside to secure the win.
Bad Company if I remember correctly was the first BF game with a destructible environment and I learned it the hard way. In one of the campaign missions you get attacked by a tank, so my first instinct was to run into a nearby house. Thinking I was safe I tried to heal up only to hear a massive explosion, see the wall in front of me crumble and realize I'm staring at the wrong end of a tank barrel, it was at that moment I fell in love with that game.
Battlefield 2 on PC was incredible for its time still holds up till this day just wish I could buy it again
Bad company 1 and battlefield 2 will always have a place in my heart they are goated games and the battlefield games are goated aswell

Someone should have explained to you how spotting works in battlefield. It’s why people always seem to know where you are.
Most hate for Hardline was mostly because of this mode (and for not being another BF like everyone go used to) so this rating (even from you!) would've been much higher if you played any other mode. It's personal fav of mine then BF2 and then Vietnam
The problem you had with the bullet spread in battlefield 2 and 2142 can be easily fixed by crouching or going prone, and all bf2 and bf2142 players know that you just had to ask.
The modding community in the other hand created such masterpieces outta the game and are gonna be more fun for you imo.
Also the multiplayer is still available after ea shutdown the servers using a revival project called bf2hub(idk if bf2142 have its community servers ngl)but the bots on veteran to expert mode are still very challenging you can still enjoy the gameplay experience even offline (some mods try to improve the ai even further... it's very hard tho-_-)
BF2 was the best. If they released it today on a new engine with easier gunplay and movement it would be easy win for dice.

I played bad company 1 in it’s prime and it was possibly the most fun multiplayer fps I’ve played to this day along with BIA: Hell’s Highway.
BF3 and BF4 were the boy, first BF i played was BF3 and loved it. The ones after never had the same feel except BF4 these two are my personal favourites.
