It's very immature to align with only one side... west has past of using & throwing countries when their purpose is fulfilled. USA treats it's allies as a colony, not as an equal partner. That's why it lectures everyone & interfere in everyone's business. So it's better we align with both sides so we don't become totally dependent on west & they dont take advantage of India. Our sovereignty & hard fought independence are more important than appeasing the west & becoming their colony(again) for development. They will never want a non-Anglo Saxon country like India to develop more than them.
