- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s remarks at GLOBSEC 2022 Bratislava Forum have gone viral. The minister has been praised earlier too for his articulate and assertive replies regarding India’s position on various matters of foreign policy. In the course of defending India’s stance on Ukraine war, Jaishankar says: “Europe has to get out of the mindset that Europe’s problems are the world’s problems, but the world’s problems are not Europe’s problems."
When the moderator asks him who India will side with - US or China - in case it has to pick a side, the minister added: “I don’t accept that India has to join either the US axis or China axis. We are one-fifth of the world’s population, fifth or sixth largest economy in the world…we are entitled to weigh our own side."

The thing is : When a crisis occurs what can you most easily be without ? Energy resources or expensive cars ? Yes the answer is obivious and the same, on a smaller scale, counts for Italy. That is the essence of the problem in bringing Russia to it's knee, and just keep on financing Putins war. Smaller countries like Netherland, Finland and Denmark have refused to pay Rubles for Putins gas and consequencely being blocked by Russia, but Germany has been so "sweet" and promised to supply the missing gas by buying even more gas from Russia in Rubles, so they can maintaine and even expane their business with Russia whereas the smaller countries have to reduce their business with Russia now and most likely in the future. It is so frustrating.

It would just be unacceptable for Europe not to condemn what is arguably funding a war reguarding it's Ukrainian stance, of course Europe knows it's funding the war itself with gas and there are daily discussions and moves to quit it ASAP. If India can use Russian unstability to get a great deal on Russian oil, it's a win for India and the quantity of oil bought at this time does not make much of a difference.

As an European, I Like how India's foreign minister is portrayed. I admit, we Europeans think the world is spinning around the west but it's simply not the case anymore. I like that everyone is beggining to have their own opinion and defending their country's interests. Cuz the west always trying to make nations across the world choose sides in events which touches the West as a whole.
I think the Quislings and cowards in NATO have to hear this. They would deprive the rest of the world of a livelihood because they are scared of Putin. I live in a NATO country and it sickens me everyday to see how little they have provided Ukraine in terms of weapons they need to push Putin's murderous little horde out of Ukraine. US and Canada hoarded vaccines during pandemic. The vaccines that Canada hoaeded could be used twice over their entire population while the poor countries were left with nothing. Now those vaccines expired and had to be thrown away. I was stunned by their selfishness because Americans always talk about being a saviour.
The West only need patents, Asian and African lives doesn't benefit them. Only Russian and Indian companies shared the knowledge to South American & African countries so that they manufacture vaccines for their people.
