Yayyy Sis! I am going to try to follow along and will be also joining you. I feel the whole frustration of having to ALWAYS be at 90% - 100% too. Man, life happens. This year I started Jan. - May on it, down 20 lbs and at 100% every week even with travel then boom here comes life so now it's Sept. with me once again starting and stopping. Trying to get back to where I was in Jan. - May...
I came across this video right on time. I turn 40 in November and I've noticed I'm feeling just puffy and bloated. I'll take all the tips I can get. You got this! Lets go!!!!
I turned 42 a couple days, and this same thing happened to me last year. 40 wasn't so bad, but there was something about 41 where things shifted. The methods I once used to shed pounds just wasn't working. I felt like any 'cheating' in my eating would completely halt any momentum in weight-loss. I was like, 'dang I can't have a bag of cheetos!' The only thing that has worked for me is eating low cal, and intermittent fasting. I related to you saying that you don't recognize yourself. That's exactly how I felt. The occasional fasting and low cal has helped. I've lost 14 pounds since July, and have about 15 more to get down to the range I was in my thirties. I'll make it, and so will you. You're not alone.
I felt this video on so many levels!! I’ve been struggling in my 40s. It takes double the work to get the results in the gym. Something as simple as not drinking enough water will make a difference between looking like a snack and looking pregnant 😂
Great video. Consistency is definitely the name of the game at this stage. I’m working w/a menopause specialist as well and am making some tweaks to my diet/workouts/lifestyle. I was diagnosed prediabetic at my last check up so changes must be made. Looking forward to watching your journey
Ok last comment. I 100% understand feeling guilty when we aren’t at 90-100%. It can take a toll on you but we have to be our own positive reinforcement
Oh, I'm with you on the results. I can do EVERYTHING right for months with relatively little to show for it. Yes, my fitness and endurance improve. BUT my weight and shape are unchanged. It's disappointing, not gonna lie. A friend trained for a 1/2 marathon. She trained for several months. Was mindful of her diet. She lost 5 pounds. Yes, she did complete the race!
Thank you for sharing. I totally feel ya. Peri and Meno used to just visit. Now they then moved in. 😏We've been living together for a while now. Peri just moved out and now it's me and Meno. I then got used to her but we had a talk about making adjustments. 😄
Oh and I’ve also stopped drinking alcohol to see how that impacts the body. I’m on week 4 of 10. If i see the impacts that I’m looking to achieve I’ll stop drinking for good.
@@EchosJourneyswow! I'll need to look that up. I've seen articles that say alcohol is worse for women. I've reduced alcohol to a couple drinks a month and it's been easier to stick to healthier eating
I know I’m not the target audience here. But I’m also over 40 now and I’ve been consistently aware of how my body is changing for the last 2 years. It’s not easy anymore and i have to really work hard at it 😫
You don't have to be the target audience to participate. I have to say you look AMAZING friend, the hard work definitely shows and it's an inspiration. It absolutely does suck that it takes so much more effort tho.

Thank you!
There’s no way around the consistency!! That’s a word!
Like, literally no way around it....not if you trying to get to a specific goal.
This motivated me to put a plan in place. Following you and rooting for you!

They say one drink of alcohol sets you back 10days.

I overstand alllll of this. It’s jarring. I’m like huh? Wha? Why? Who? HELP!
RIGHT!?!?!
I heard if you have a history of Cancer in your family, HRT is risky, I have to do my research on the correlation
