Wonderful. I too make olan. But since when we were new in the US we never got thenga so vallathila vevichu inga kedaikara tin thenga paal and thenga yennai viduvom. Adhum tasty yathan irukkum, but I will try this method also. Ippo lock downla Indian store poganum vazhiliyaa 😊

You get nice grated coconut in USA. You can make milk out of it. It’s very handy n perfect for Indian cooking. Far better than ready made milk..

Very good question. We used to use it as main dish from my childhood and even children are used to it as main dish.. we make it little watery.. yummy with pappad 😀

best main dish will be always plain rice. in kerala we use this as sadya special side dish.
