Glad you switched out the trebles on your Rapala. I did the same with all my spinners and Rapalas a couple years back and have never looked back. Hookup ratio seems about the same, and a lot less damage done to the fish if practicing catch and release.

David, what are you using for bugs. I was camping and fishing east of Ludington on NF and my eye lids got bit up. Any place that didn't have 3 layers of deed got bites. And here you are in a t-shirt. I know early mornings are not so bad but by 10 am the deer flies show up.
It depends on the area and the day. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do. But I have been running a thermacell lately. I don't like bug spray at all
