So glad I found your channel man! I am retired Army living in Germany 40 years this year. I can`t hunt and fish......definately my biggest regret. You and your videos keep me level headed in this stress filled life. Thanks Dusty

@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620thanks, ive been looking at some tribs of the conodoquinet and the yellow breeches that are probably very similar to the one you fished, because I’m assuming unless it’s a limestone spring influenced stream that by the start of summer it’s too warm and they have migrated elsewhere. Really impressive fish by the way I’ve never seen any browns that big in my area except for one I spooked on the LeTort

I went to a spot near me and tried the jig and all that happened for me was every hole that I casted it into was an instant snag and I lost a few LOL 🤣🤣 Now I started tying my own, Awesome fishes!

If you don’t mind me asking what body of water is this I’m in Maryland there’s a few wild reproducing brown trout streams but nun of them hold browns bigger then 10-14 inches

Sad that the art of back reeling has been all but lost! Personally I hate handling big fish with loose drags ! I have lost a couple in my years of perfecting the back reeling technique but it works well in controlling the big ones because the rod works more against them !
