Good for him he got out of it. But in hindsight you should start to scream Help when you got energy and moment for it. And first if you must go fish in ice that is so thin and in spring sun, why dont you have a survival suit on? Yes they cost about 1000 euros but the fish arent worth of your life. But good that you had ice spikes with you, lot of people dont use them and that may be fatal choice.
But good that he kept calm and got out!
How did you get out there?
Always go back the way you came. You know the ice is thick enough to hold you if you already walked on it. Glad you’re okay. Stay safe and bring a spud bar lol
Did he learn anything? Does he still go to ice fishing when the ice is 5 cm thin slush?
This is a good opportunity for all of us to take account of our abilities and reevaluate our security measures when out on both the ice and the water. Take care everyone and stay safe! Very glad to hear it went well for Markus! 🤗
oh thank you, mr group yapper
I have to ask what you were thinking when you went out on that ice. Why no spud?
Well you could say that the ice wasn't bad in the morning, but it was way to thin for fishing this time of the year.
Yea, that ice is like 2inches thick, no freaking way. Nothing less than 4 of good ice for me
Yeah like as if it ok in morning and melted to that thin in a couple hours,no way
@@tedlivermore6955 uh yes way, you clearly have no clue how quickly ice conditions on a lake can change. you clearly have never been out on it. stick with your mario and sonic the hedgehog, yapper
Im thankful your still here bro i fell in before trust me i almost give up within seconds cause of how cold it is you are strong to make it out❤
This made my neck muscles hurt SO BAD from the tension! Here in Michigan, it's an "Every Winter" worry, that thankfully most recognize. I'm so happy this ended well!
Did he catch anything?
He caught hypothermia
Scary stuff man, glad you made it Markus! 💪🙏
Dang. Always check your transition lines! I don't understand why he didn't go back the way he came? Maybe didn't want the gear to go in?
Many people wouldnt make it cus they are not fit enough and it would be a sad outcome so give that a thought before you try your luck on thin ice. Any experienced person will see that the ice is thin but lots of people go icefishing without experience...
Proper gear. "isdubbar" around the neck or close, floating help (backpack, clothes, drysuit) fitness helps. A blow pipe for attention, you cant shout for long. Breathe is easier.
@@spikbebis Well the best help on the ice is the simplest of all, CHECK the damn ice. This guy thought he was the icegod and didnt. Look where it got him...checking the ice beats confidence in your own skill every damn time...
@@MrKveite1 i prefer to have my icepikes with me and whack it as I go, here it wouldnt help much: Springice (the ice is more than good before the sun rises over the day and breaks the bond all the way through the ice-layer) and he went home to late. (from a couch-adventurer (or the office right now)) Lessons learned =)
@@spikbebis well u can see its open water far from the shore so he misjudged the weather and the temp and the effect it had on the ice=stay on land when the ice get shady in the spring and you wont fall through risking your own and possible other peoples lifes because of your stupidity.
@@MrKveite1 he knew he was late to return so just a smal hybris...
paper thin ice yikes !!!
i was breathing as hard as you from just watching the video... glad you made it :)
Thick safe ice with generous safety margins does not turn into a death trap in a few hours. If you find ice fishing worth to die for, by all means go ahead.
Spud bars are a great tool to use...
Det här var det läskigaste jag sett på länge! Kan det vara mer nära ögat än detta?
hade han haft sämre fysik hade han varit död.
I feel like this was done on purpose. Who keeps walking after you foot goes through the first time ? People with a mission or complete idiots
Well planned and rehearsed
Almost looked like a demonstration to me...possibly gone wrong. If that wasn't a demonstration, YOU NEED YOUR HEAD EXAMINED!!!!!
TO MANY MISTAKES TO TALK ABOUT!!!! If that was for real you better thank your lucky stars for those ice picks!
Markus, vad glad jag är att du klarade dig! Sköt om dig! ❤
Is that water cold it looks like it is
Alltid samma väg man kom alltid!
Did you catch anything though?
Not buying it….This was on purpose.
@freewaterpictures were you wearing a floatation suit?
Damn, hard to believe you made it that far before falling in....Way to stay calm...Those ice picks saved your life no doubt...You stayed calm, but the fact that you were "speaking in tounges" proves it was a tense situation... :)
I remember walking on 6 inch ice and was still anxious. This lad must of been too used to walking on ice that he forgot the basics.
You absolutely had to know not to be on the ice here. How hard is it to check the weather for the day before you go out on the ice?
Why would you not be on your belly after making it out the first time? Also, who would be on THAT ice in the first place?
Why would you go on ice that is that thin? I can hear the ice cracking under foot, yet he still keeps going further out.
There's no way most people could pull themselves out. No way nowhere so many overweight ice fishermen
What saved this man’s life is he had a pair of ice picks with him. He didn’t panic but he was breathing very heavily because the cold water was rapidly taking his body heat.
were you able to retrieve your gear?
I'm no expert, never even been ice fishing but even I could tell that small strip of open water he walked right over was no bueno. You can tell just by looking at that ice it wasn't thick enough to be out on...the edges of the lake were completely thawed near the shoreline. Pure stupidity to even be out there really.
Terrifying! Almost couldn’t handle watching this. Glad you survived it!
I’m no expert, but why in the world are you on the ice when it’s that thin?
How have you survived this long?
Did ya catch any fish?
wow,so glad you made it man.The good Lord was watching over you.
