Samantha is gracious with her stage presence; she knew how to cut in and cut out. Really nice lead guitar. I gotta see more of her before she goes big.
Saw her at our annual waterfront blues fest in Portland a few years ago. Great performer. And of course it seemed more guys wanted back/side stage passes than ever for the set. Her outfit that day probably helped. Lol.

Yep, and he's even put some weight back on. I'm sure he was happy to lose a few pounds, but not the amount his illness caused. He looked almost skeletal. Thought we might lose him and he's too great a player not to have around for a lot longer!
I think Kenny Wayne had the best groove for this little jam .... tasty playing, spot on phrasing, killer Strat sound.
Kenny did indeed have the best groove . Trout was a complete mess.
I quite like KWS, I love the sound of that middle fret pickup on the strat, but found him smoke by Joe in this case. The arpeggiated stuff with the clean speed that Joe executed it over the blues backbone was just so nice. It seemed KWS picked that up on the second round though and played Joe at his own game for moment, which I thought was fun.
@@seanjone4574 Yeah - when KWS came in from Trout, suddenly the sound cleans up and the notes are all clear and well chosen!
I second this motion, too bad they didn't have his amp at the same volume as the other's. Kenny's smoothness was off the charts.
I hope these people who were there realize how lucky they are to have experienced that level of talent live in person. Absolutely phenomenal performance!!

Just got back from the March 2023 KTBA cruise, for me it was a blast. All that good music in one place that sails from Miami to the Dominican Republic and back.
We had Italian guitar monsters, Bonamassa, Zito, Vivino and Castillio! Well done Joe & Co.

For anyone to cue this clip up at all they obviously like blues, or Joe B. or easy on the eyes as well as a huge talent Samantha F. The really great part of this clip is reading how many people are learning for the first time about Walter Trout. No frills Walter, just doin' it from the heart !

You are sadly mistaken to think that Paul is anything less than "A-list talent". ..
For the record, this is the same emcee who introduced the host as Joe “Bonamosso”. Really, Paul? You couldn’t get the guy’s name right?!? Shaffer brought very little to the party that night other than his embarrassing presence. Not a knock on his musical talent, just an observation held by many in attendance, including me.
So nice to see Samantha sharing a stage with the heavyweights.
And she more than held her own against the big guns. Saw her in Ft. Worth- that girl can really play and sing.
She's a beast on guitar. I saw her live and she was fantastic. I've seen Walter and KWS live also, and she is right there with them on guitar. A little more country influenced, but she can play with the best. A few years ago, she was touring with Trampled Under Foot. That would have been epic to see!

I went to Jazzbones when I was in Tacoma, i was over at Lewis-Mcchord. Saw some fella playin the harp pretty bluesy. Wish Id seen Trout's show.

Jimmy Hall doesn't dare blow that harp when Joe is shredding, but he's happy to try to drown out Samantha Fish....and Samantha plays with more feeling than anyone on that stage, she's the REAL DEAL....there's shredding, then there's emotion. She's got the perfect blend of both. And she's humble. LOVE HER

Simply not true. Having been involved in many of these big jams (for video purposes), I guarantee you there is no substitute for a "sucker MC" --- Paul smooths things over and everybody knows him, he's like everybody's bud, and what could have been an argument turns out to be all cool with no negativity. You nay-sayers are hating on some fantasy, not the real Paul.

I saw Walter Trout back in the 80's when he had the lead guitar gig with Canned Heat, which I think was probably his first national exposure. He was amazing even then! I wish I'd have been on that cruise with all those great players.
This set introduced me to Samatha Fish and boy am I glad, just saw her live in Chattanogga and she delivered. Also learned about Larkin Poe - these vids got me thru covid
I found her a year ago here on YT and have been jammin' with her music around the house for hours at a time. She's born for the blues, that's for sure.
Samantha Fish is THE real deal!!! Saw her at the Handy Blues in Henderson KY. she absolutely TORE IT UP!! BTW, she upstaged the greats on stage in this vid too.
Did she though? Shes not even in the same class as Bonamassa in my opinion. Shes one of my favorite artists, but Joe's prowess is unmatched.

I saw the original G3 tour ala Eric J, Steve V, and the man himself Joe S and I will be dammed when they did there encore this is exactly what all 3 of those guys played is this the anthem when you have too many guitar geniuss who never played together? just wondering after awhile it's like let's play are blues licks as fast as we can I mean you could literally go stupid watching these guys trying to out do each other with the same licks idk maybe it's just me
Although they din't sing that much here, backing singers deserve a big round of applause. Without whom a lot of tracks would sound quite 'hollow'. Thank you ladies.
