I've been asking which character people are most hype to see a combo video on and by far the most popular choice was Dee Jay. I'm keeping an eye on the community post and suggestions in comments but it definitely looks like a theme is emerging.
I really appreciate the feedback and will be prioritizing the character combo videos based on your suggestions.
Do one with JP, he's a really interesting character and has really cool movesets
He may not be the most like character at the moment, but I'd love to see what you can cook up with JP

Any hope for a future combo video on Hyper Street Fighter Alpha? The hidden mode featured on the SF Alpha Anthology for PS2? New -ISM and moves not found in any other versions, parries ala SF3 and other crazy game mechanics are selectable in it...

Not gonna lie. He kinda saved me and I started to dance once more. I even have a smile on my face when using his style.
Classic Dee Jay costume with SF6 animations and graphics goes crazy. It’s like the original creator of the character’s true vision for him has finally been properly realized. Only took 30 years 😂

You are amazing!! It would be amazing to see a behind the scenes on your video. The times you tested each button and then how you finish the combo. Kind of like a documentary. This is the moment for that as you are learning the characters.
If he told people how to find combos that are as unique as the ones he makes then he would be out of a job. Someone would inevitably take that same method of discovering combos, then do it faster and beat Desk to the punch on the DLC characters.

@@swiftyxrd Not really. A lot of his past videos were composed of stuff that was already known. Turns out one'll just have less imitators when it's really, really hard work making these things by hand. Off the top of my head, all I can think that did similar stuff was ArmchairTitan, and, well, RIP.

@@nukabomb9014 Ok? He's not a one of a kind type of player, there are people with equal or more technical skill than him execution wise that either don't know how to find combos before Desk or simply don't bother because they don't care about internet brownie points.
As someone who *hated* how bland the character was for the longest time, Dee Jay's "glow up" is easily the improvement I like most of _SF6_ and the veterans. Thanks, Desk.

@@d1shwasha Yeah, even though the last SF I've played was _Super SFIV_ unfortunately, learning how weirdly dirty Dee Jay got done in _Ultra_ in the end was still surprising even though it just reiterated how little Capcom gave a shit about the poor guy before now. (Instead of it being like with Vega, who *clearly* is still paying for his _Turbo_ Izuna drop loops sins despite Sagat getting to escape such hatred for O. Sagat's everything.)

when I saw his lvl2 was like geese deadly rave, not finishing it for another combo extension crossed my mind to be honest. I'm glad desk already proved it possible
I literally found it out on my own on accident because I dropped the lvl 2 super, and on the frame counter it said "6+ frames" You can literally drop the super before the last hit and still continue your combo. DJ is amazing man
Dee Jay looks like a lot of fun in this game. His moves and animations have so much style and personality to them. I want to like him better in previous Street Fighter games, but his smile always creeped me out, especially in Street Fighter 4. So glad they tweaked his design to make him look more friendly like he's supposed to be.
Haha it was exactly this Bison-like sarcastic smile that I loved. Love the new Dee Jay too! It’s just nice to have a character who seems to have fun and that doesn’t take the fight too seriously. I could learn a lot from him there 🤣

Since SF4 I have been watching desk, his combos are creative and phenomenal. However, the most difficult part is calculating and preparing the amount of life "left" in the dummy so that when the combo finish the last hit, the dummy dies right at that last hit.
It's easier in SF6 since they removed guts, so you just find the damage of the combo then do like 30 jabs to get them just into range.

They did him right out of any of character in the game. Animation or move set, it’s the biggest glow up

This feels like a KOF 13 combo video. This is the greatest apology a video game company has ever given in the history of ever. We do have Netherrealms to thank for the graphics, but everything else is just amazing. Even luke is beginning to grow on me.
Dude, the animation of Luke's CE is insane. It really made me appreciate him as a character more, with how serious he takes fighting.
He's got way more character than Alex, for example.

SFIV Dee Jay hardly got used even by the best players. He's never gotten this much attention until now. Bottom line, they did a good job with his new design and moveset in SF6.
He was cool only problem in SFIV was that he was extremely difficult
Not only was he a charge character which isn’t beginner friendly all his combos were 1 frame and extremely difficult

I really like how dee jay sounds in this game, in sf4 his voice was not to my liking because i like his rough voice from street fighter 2 and the movie. Forgot what he sounds like in alpha, but in sf6 his higher softer voice is much better and feels more party like too

Of course the combos are amazing, but I just wanna appreciate how great the "classic" costume 2 looks for the World Warriors (Apart from maybe Ken since his gi sleeves aren't tattered but that's not a big problem).
Ken's sleeves were never suppose to be tattered. That was a Ryu and Akuma thing
Still, his sleeves are always like that for his default/classic costumes so it threw me off to see it like that in this game.
Ken's gi more closely matches the SF2 gi while Ryu's matches the SF3 gi
Ahhh I see, I guess his gi really wasn't like that, just in Zero/Alpha and 3 does it look like that. But I do see in official depictions (Old SF2 art, Smash depiction, SFIV, SFV default) his gi really is clean cut. Apologies for my limited knowledge on Ken's outfits haha

Ive always thought Dee Jay was cool (despite people’s stance on him gameplay-wise) but in this game, hes enjoyable both in gameplay and in personality! Gotta be my favorite character outta the whole franchise.

I love that they took a nothing-burger character like Dee Jay and invigorated him with an update to his personality and a new design, and that's all it really took to make him instantly cooler than ever.
It's because they have a younger team of devs. The oldheads at Capcom "HATED" Dee Jay but loved the promise of dollar signs lol
@@hugejackedman3447 Sometimes the og devs are the root of a problem... no matter how much it hurts for old schoolers to hear that. And I'm also an old schooler but i don't worship the og devs, i see the good side and the bad side of their work fairly. So if ogs by chance have a questionable opinion then that will likely influence the games.
In this case og devs didn't make Dee Jay and T Hawk super interesting chars in first place, then their dev bias prevented the improvement of the chars in later games. They even got less chances to appear in sequels and were lucky to get in the A3 update. So they continued underdeveloped unlike other veterans that kept getting polished over time. That created a cruel vicious cycle situation for them.
