    Thanks again Joshua for bringing the FPV community such a well documented FPV build series! This is one of the best ways to get started in the world of FPV and learning how to build your own drone. Hope you all get a chance to try these new drone kits, as they are the perfect blend of quality and affordability + a full video build guide to go with it!

    Mr. Bardwell, I have mused at least a hundred of your videos, in my so-far rather bewildering journey into the world of FPV, and without question THIS video is BY FAR THE MOST IMPORTANT AND SYMBOLIC I HAVE YET ENCOUNTERED. Thank you TREMENDOUSLY for this video and playlist, I downloaded all of it immediately, I have my Sequre MSS12 Pro solder set and accessories, I still have 2 fpv quads (out of the 5, including tiny whoops and beginner kits I've purchased in total in the last three months), and I have a RM TX16S Mk2 MAX with AD-01 gimbals (ELRS), a ToolKitRC M7 charger, the accommodating power supply, and the Steam-purchased Liftoff FPV Simulator bundle. And now, added to all that, THIS playlist - the most important part!
    I'm looking forward to again tuning in to you and ItsBlunty in your live streams and chats. Right now, ... I'm going to learn MANY things today...
    THANK YOU JB, Cheers!

    I'm half a year into this hobby and have learned a TON. Built my 5" (and repaired it several times) with this walkthrough. I have several tinywhoops now as well. I came back and I'm listening through and picking up new stuff that flew over my head the first couple times. It's deep folks! Pay attention.

    One of the nice things about building your own quad is that if you are on a tight budget you can buy one part a paycheck until you have all the parts verses a bind and fly where you have to pony up all the money at once.

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  ปีที่แล้ว

      For 4S, you would want a kv around 2400. You can run the 6S motors on 4S batteries and the quad will fly ok just lack top end power. I don't recommend it, but if you had to do it, it'd be ok. And for a beginner, the lack of power might actually be a good thing.

    I am interested in developing this skill because it is crucial in today's world. aerial recon provides a great advantage when approaching strategic or potentially dangerous locations. It is also useful in defensive threat intelligence. Overall, a very practical and necessary skill to develop that provides a great advantage to those with the capability, and severe disadvantage to those without.

    Building this drone as we e-speak, 2 questions - 1) do you have a video explaining how to activate GPS with the Flite Test EZ-ID? 2) Could the capacitor be soldered to the battery connector versus the ESC pads?

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      How to add EZ-ID: th-cam.com/video/dnkbGljGG10/w-d-xo.html
      The capacitor won't be effective if soldered to the battery connector. It's so far from the ESC that you might as well not have it. It needs to be as close to the ESC as possible.

    About a decade ago I was working for a drone company in Sarasota FL and I had the pleasure of trying out FPV a few times, though most of my work was with the larger DJI products like the S1000 and all had flight assist so no tricks.
    This is definitely a hobby that I want to get into, but it's pricey, so in the meantime what simulators do you recommend to get myself acclimated before investing too much in hardware?

    Is it possible to add a GPS module to the DJI version of this build?

    So if you already have a DJI FPV Remote Controller 2, then you don't need a ELRS reciever correct?

    I am interested in your HD build but I noticed on your website your tools are out of stock or backorder, do you sell your tools on amazon? Should I wait until your tools are available before purchasing the HD build?

    Just what a noob like me was looking for. Just bought your kit and waiting for it to come and start! Now for the "fun" question. Is there an RID module that can integrate with the kit, or would we need something like a dronetag?

    What would you recommend, Radiomaster Boxer or the Jumper T15. This will be my first FPV build. I plan to do more though.
