    Just a few notes I took after making. This build is relatively easy to expand, once you have everything up it's easy to see where to go from there. I'm not a big fan of levers on the outside. It makes post build decoration difficult so I used a Redstone torch under the rails. I also added two other powered rails in the middle of the build cause it was stopping for me but that fixed it. Overall very nice build. :D

    Frankly, I love the way you make these tutorials. You are probably the only one who actually cares to explain even the steps that seem obvious to more experienced players. Thing is, for those of us who are building their first automated farms, step by step is just what is needed. So, I successfully built my first bee farm and now am looking forward to getting plenty of beeswax for my projects. No more campfires, no more bee stings... lovely, thank you very much indeed!

    This farm, as with all of JC's farms, is great! I did run into an issue where after a while only the dispensers with Shears still worked (not the ones with glass bottles). By that point, I had already generated far more honey than I would ever use though so I am not too concerned about it!

    • @amarablack9976
      @amarablack9976 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @user-wc5yu6fd8c
      @user-wc5yu6fd8c ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the dispernsers with bottles do work you just have to make sure every single slot in the dispenser is full with glass bottles. but I am also having an issue, it works.... but the bottles when they get filled with honey pop up ontop of the dispernsers so the minecart cant pick them up. so ive had to move the mincart ontop of the dispensers going back and forth, but now its akward because i have to break the rails every time i wanna refill the dispensers

    • @michalsabrt9648
      @michalsabrt9648 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@user-wc5yu6fd8cIn my world I actually have a line of hoppers with rails on top of the dispensers to save me the hustle of refilling bottles manually. You can mirror the build and have one side for honeycomb with shears only and the other one for bottles only. Also you can refill the bottles from inside the farm if you don't wanna bother with another minecart. And lastly if you place another row of solid blocks on top of dispensers instead of what I mentioned above it should stop the bottles from going anywhere but inside the farm. Reason why he put the solid blocks on both sides. If you have excess honeycomb. Just build a massive beehive to hide the whole farm. Looks great with a combination of dark oak. Make some honey blocks run down the sides of your new structure. Furthermore you could build a big custom tree and have the hive hanging off a branch. Possibilities are endless. Good luck mate 🐝🐝🐝🍯🍯🍯

    Just a piece of advice for anyone, struggling to get the dispensers to activate. I am moved established beehives into those build, and I’ve ran into the issue that the comparator only works on a absolutely empty beehive. On bedrock I've found the easiest is making a big deep wide hole and then having an iron golem trapped with magma blocks surrounding it and either water to push the slimes into the blocks and into a collector area or a hopper minecart. Just recently dropped 4 golems into a huge cavern though to clear out mobs and I'm impressed by the thoroughness they have of clearing them

      silentwhisperers is pretty good its just the basic circle with BROWN mushrooms (they produce a light level of 1 not allowing kther mobs to kill the golem or take up chest slots) and in 30 minutes i get about 45-64 per layer. this needs to be in a mangrove swamp if youre on bedrock since regulat swamps dont spawn very much slimes (i saw one every few nights in a slime chunk)

    a few things to make the farm more ‘efficient’:
    -add slabs on top of dispensers, honeycomb was getting stuck there for me
    -add slabs on the top block in front of the beehives to avoid bees getting stuck flying above the hives
    -use redstone blocks under the powered rails so you can enclose the farm (to avoid mobs obstructing it)
    hope this helps :)

      Sounds like you have more bees than space in the hives. If that is true, then the behavior is as expected. Bees can't enter the hive until a bee leaves the hive, opening up a slot for a new bee (not newbie).

    Unlike a lot of other farms in bedrock this one is actually cheap. Its a shame that bees can't enter or exit beehives with flowers in from of them in this version.

      Ik this reply is 2 months late but you can do this but you'd need to extend the minecart area underneath, the redstone above, and likely extend the whole thing 1 block

    Does anyone have a problem with Enderman pulling the dirt blocks out of the machine thereby breaking the machine, and setting the bees loose inside it? My solution was to place blocks around the structure to block any gaps that the bees could escape out of. I am curious if anyone else has any ideas to prevent enderman from doing this, I would love to hear them.

    • @tylercarter3688
      @tylercarter3688 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Now, I don’t have any issues with it. But I’d suggest adding like a line of water around it so ender man can’t cross over and grab the blocks. Ender man are afraid of water so they’ll back off the line of water running around it.

    • @timmydasv821
      @timmydasv821 ปีที่แล้ว

      when enderman pulling the dirt you can easily add trapdoors to dirt in all its sides also add trapdoor under the dirt block so enderman cant take it :)

    • @Hannah-yf2yr

    • @tommymccoy3219
      @tommymccoy3219 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best way to fix this is to refill your dispensers and then break the redstone connecting the redstone system to the dispensers that have the honey bottles in them. That should fix the problem for a while till the same thing happens

    • @michalsabrt9648

      Make sure dispensers are fully filled with empty bottles else it will suck the honey bottles back in and break the system in process. Furthermore you could add hoppers and chests or rail above dispensers to prevent running out of empty bottles in the near future.

    Built this previously and it worked perfectly. Maybe it’s the new update, but my minecart isn’t moving automatically anymore. I have to push it and it will stop at the other end or sometimes it doesn’t make it to the other end, also the minecart isn’t picking up anything when it passes under the flower area. I have to break and replace the redstone to get the dispenser to collect the honey. As I’m sitting here typing this though I saw my minecart move very slowly on it’s own and then stopped.
