**Music Stops** Looks at overfull dumpster in silence for 30seconds…
I totally understand that feeling. 😅
😂😂 I was editing wondering what was taking me so long haha!
I love "I swear it was the 2nd, it must have refreshed now that you're here.." People can be sleeze bags
😂😂 I couldn’t show it on the video but he was telling me, showing me his phone but pulling it away so I couldn’t actually see it. You can hear me say, “let me see that again please.” He knew all along!
Overfilled dumpsters and angry customers sounds like a typical day down here in miami lol
Haha very true! I would imagine Miami is a pretty saturated market? How’s business down there?
business is good and steady thankfully 🙏Miami is very saturated but we maneuver around it pretty well but its definitely a challenge. Love your videos man im glad shows the good and bad of this dumpster business. much respect@@AmericanAFDumpsters
Hahah you definitely have a short fuse, no bs attitude, love it!
😂🤣 Do I though?? I thought I was pretty patient with this guy. He came out super aggressive, I think I have a hard time taking that kind of attitude. Maybe it’s the ex-law enforcement in me, I don’t know but I’m pretty quick to tell people exactly how I feel when necessary 😂
Appreciate the view and comment brother!! Stay safe!
@@AmericanAFDumpstersyou handled it perfectly, that guy was a professional yapper! 25:31 “ thats cause your here now it refreshed” 😂 that’s insane!
This is awesome for you taking it that far and trying to be civil. I have picked up several overloaded with no confrontation like this. Hooklift all the way extended out with the dumpster pointed at the sky. Slam the breaks one time in reverse and it all falls out in the street. Send the customer a picture of it overloaded and nobody has ever argued lol
Shake-N-Bake!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼
I always forget to snap pics, I did in the beginning but got out of habit. I need to start doing that again to cover my butt. That looked so easy dropping that can with that truck.
I do every time because I can upload it to my software and it attaches to the ticket automatically! So it forces me to be consistent
It makes for great social media advertising! 🤘
20:00 - an "Austin Powers golf cart in tunnel" moment.
😂😂😂
Man that was a tight drop off! Nice work bro. Getting a tandem in there and dropping was an accomplishment! I hooked a bin and dumped it today. The dump was nothing but a muddy soupy mess. Much like your yard! I'm hoping to slowly but surely get more business as i plug away at getting the company name out there before spring hits.
I would say about 30% of my drop offs are pretty tight like that! It gets easier with time though. An yea bro, I’m sure spring will really pick up for a lot of folks!
That’s the biggest problem with bigger truck hard to get into shorter driveways with narrow streets people parked on both sides. You did good 👍
Tell me about it! I love the bigger truck, never having to worry about a dumpster that is too heavy! But pulling into peoples driveways, or jumping the curbs or even on the grass a little bit is definitely a daily occurrence!
I'm sure I'll eventually cave, but that excuse he made about other people using the dumpster is the exact reason why I refuse to drop them in the street. I use the city permit excuse to get out of it knowing dang well the customer never got one.
Funny thing is, this was a dead end street, not many neighbors anywhere lol. But you are correct, that might save a lot of excuses in the future for me if I did that!
I realize it's above the brim, but the tarp is going to capture most of that. A couple bungees and a strap or two and it's contained.
Truth is, I don’t carry any other tarps, I know I know, I probably should, but I don’t. I’m pretty strict with the over the wall policy. I know personally a company who caused an accident from flying debris, dash cam of the car that was hit captured it. Driver was fined, company was hit with a major insurance claim and the business ended up closing down due to not being able to be insured after his renewal came up. It’s not worth it. Customers are responsible for maintaining the dumpsters trash height. And, the video doesn’t do it justice how overfilled it actually was. It’s like it doesn’t pick up the true depth. Way too high imo. Lots of people would say “if it fits it ships.” I’ve got a family to feed, a business to operate and a reputation to uphold. Not worth the risk!
Makes sense. Never assume the risk. Occasionally I need to go over the top of my dump trailer. The tarp covers most, but I carry a handfull of 15ft straps just to be sure and tie it down. @@AmericanAFDumpsters
Hey Josh ! We haven’t turned back on our google ads since late Nov and my bank account thanks me for it the number of rentals dropped but not as much
Great to hear!! I plan on doing the same soon, hopefully!!
Have you thought about putting fender mirrors on the truck it would make your life easier
Funny you say that, I actually talked about wanting some of those in my video from yesterday, won’t upload till next week sometime but you’re absolutely correct! I think it would definitely make things much easier!
@AmericanAFDumpsters I am a owner Operator hauling fuel and it helps in city traffic to cover blind spots and with lane placement
May as well put this video in the dumpster
Not sure what you mean by that, care to elaborate?
@@AmericanAFDumpsters No
Interesting video Josh, it seems this is problem in this industry, there’s got to be a better way to communicate to customers maybe on your website or person when dropping off, I don’t know. I see a lot of TH-cams going through the same thing. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely! I do try to tell customers not to go over the top, lots of times I just mention it quickly after dropping. I think I might add a sticker to the top rails that say “$150 feet for going past this line” or something to that extent!!
I dropped off a dumpster and the cable came loose gave the house a kiss nothing major house wasn’t damaged or anything owner called my insurance company gave them a check/2k and few months later out of business but it is what it is
Man I’m sorry to hear that!! I’m sure you tried, but did you reach out to other insurance companies or consider shutting down the first business and maybe opening another one in a family members name?
They always have some excuse for... 95٪ of the time it's all BS.
Bingo!!! This right here is why it’s hard to believe anyone when they say that excuse!!
Honestly it is over loaded but nothing a hand tarp and some bungee wouldn’t hold then never do business with that customer again
Or risk something fly off and damage or worse yet kill another driver? I will be posting a video update talking about this soon. Too many people think it’s ok to just “send it.” If it fits it ships they say. I personally know a company that had to close its doors because it couldn’t renew its insurance policy after an accident that was caused from falling debris.
And, for those that say the driver should climb up there and remove tie overage, try telling that to your insurance when a driver falls off, breaks his leg or worse.
This is just my opinion and my company policy. Everyone has the right to do what they want with their businesses, but for me and mine, I will remain strict on this policy.
