    Great video. Gatlin was on the juice so his best at 33 has a cloud over it

    This isn't an accurate video. It is simply impossibl to compare eras. Technology like advances in shoes and track play a huge role in times. Btw the gap between the best sprinters in bolts era and the current era is actually much bigger. Bolt and co would be running a bit faster with tracks and shoes from this era. similarly 80s and 90s sprinters would see an even bigger reduction in times if they ran in this era.
    I don't think think people are lying when they say this era is slow. it actually is. forget about the bolt era for a second. 9.79 are times that were ran in the freaking 90s. not only has sprinting not progressed since then, it has actually declined.

      I think this is a roughly estimated video and in places quite good.... I appreciate you watching and commenting. I do think we can look across eras ... we might not be able to establish the true reason for the improvements (or in this case.... the reduced performance), but I think the comparison is valid.... and interesting! Thank you for watching.

    Been far too many drug issues within the sport to know what times and athletes have been completely legitimate and honest. I do really hope that "Bolt" was the real deal

      @fender1000100 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      He wasn't. Everyone who ran under 9.75 is suspicious. Sprinters didn't SUDDENLY all get alot slower. The testing for drugs just got better.
      So what we are seeing now is LEGITIMATE human speed. Not enchanced.

      Would really hate for Bolt to be a drug cheat it would be as devastating as Lance Armstrong

      That's exactly it. What we are now seeing Human beings run. Is the natural limit of a human being 9.75 to 9.85. There's no question all those times under 9.7 were drug times. Even Bolt. He was protected by BIG MONEY PUMA. Who paid off corrupt Jamaican officials.

    He’s on track for sure but great is thrown around too loosely. Championships and times (consistently). I’m not expecting him to be Bolt but for me 2 more years/ championships and touch that 9.7 mid then he’s got it for me

      @@roughlyestimated I'm sorry!
      I can see you put a solid amount of work... I guess I felt that way because to me, you sacrifice the clarity of your points for attempts at building tension with (to me) unnecessary words.
      Why not let your voice take on that role? Your intonation and delivery are already very good at that...
      But that might just be me, the shortest path that reveals the essence is the one I aim to take.
      Personally, I pass a few times through my texts, each sentence, expression and word has to earn its spot.
      Regardless of your view of my criticism, seaving a text that way is a good exercise: improved conciseness would make me a viewer :)

      @roughlyestimated I thought "great" was self-explanatory. Quite frankly, he hasn't done enough to warrant that conversation. Dominance and consistency are needed before he enters that discussion. He is just hot for right now
